Lord Windgrace sure does love lands! This deck has 39 of them, and we are happy to play that many, since this is a lands matter deck. Our Patron Galvan Flame has earned a deck tech, so we are upgrading his Lord Windgrace (from commander 2018) commander deck on a budget.

Ah, what a relief to see Disclaimer Guy is alive and well.

I had two theories:
Either the throat cancer got him, or it was the loan sharks.
There ARE a lot of Sharks on Ikoria
Cool thing with Underrealm Lich, if you deck yourself out, the Lich’s ability is replacement effect for when you draw a card so you will never die to mill unless the Lich is gone.
If they can't kill the lich they'll clear your mind so you don't have access to a million cards lol
Strands of Night is the best card ever for this deck. Sac a swamp, get any creature back from the graveyard. It's also a budget card

@@NitpickingNerds I love using it to get Eternal witness back so I can get as much use out of my graveyard as possible. And it doesn't matter how many lands you sac to it because you can keep getting Splendid Reclamation back to keep resurrecting your lands. It's one of my favorites in the deck for sure. So much fun and value to be had

It’s actually our second Windgrace tune-up but the first one was over a year ago 0.0
Pretty sure field of the dead is banned in modern because it's still busted

The most BEAUTIFUL site to behold, is when you have ob-nixillis out and you play splendid reclamation and kill your opponent from the landfall triggers. Done it a couple times now, and every time I do it I feel like such a baller. Bonus points if you bait your opponent into countering something before you cast splendid reclamation and kill them 😌

We used "make it rain" playing basketball all the time. Just had to do with making baskets and good plays.

I mean, Field of the Dead is banned in Standard for a reason. The reason is Golos but it's still a reason!
I think it'd just get banned anyway. It is such a stupid card. Also banned in Pioneer

I play world shaper in muldrotha and it’s gross, it’s seriously the best card ever. I’ve gotten upwards of 25 lands and cast a fattt villainous wealth. LOVE THAT CARD
Both of those cards are very satisfying to play :P
Living Twister seems like it would be good in this deck.
That card is cool, a lot of cool stuff came out in WAR and I think it's taking a while for them to set into peoples minds

I never liked Mirror Pool in lord windgrace personally. I would also recommend adding a Maze of Ith
Wave of vitriol is a spicy tech, it is kind of another scapeshift for landfall etbs

Make it rain isnt always sexual! Its a bit dated but no way was it just about strip clubs. I dont think it was cool to do in real life, in public. Point for Cherries.

I have heard players cry "make it rain!" In GTA online while in a lobby with a modder.

I would argue that Amulet of Vigor is the most important card for this deck. If you're not running it then you're literally just fucking yourself. It's one mana and everytime you Scapeshift or Boundless Realms, the lands will enter and then untap. I'd also argue that Obliterate is better than Scapeshift because it doesn't hit Windgrace and you can immediately use him to start resurrecting your lands. Btw if you're running Finale of Devastation then you need to get Pathbreaker Ibex or Craterhoof. Those are the only options lol
The reason "make it rain" is not too off color to say in public is rap videos, regardless where it may have originated from. Everyone has a mental image of a rapper making it rain on television, thus the phrase and the visual are now part of public common understanding. If you need more proof that making it rain is not sexual: in Batman 1989, Jack Nicholson's Joker makes it rain on the public of Gotham... right before he tries to poison them all with giant balloons. No sexual connotation, QED.
So... i know land destruction is typically frowned upon in commander and is generally hated in MTG... can you cool dudes design a consistent land destruction deck? Or recommend a commander for such a terrible beast?
I think that players would hate consistent land destruction as much as mass. Maybe even more because it would pick on a player.

Making it rain definitely started out as a strip club reference but over time and popular use has changed to mean throwing anything up in the air. Get with the times Beezy! Point for Cherries

pay 1 colorless mana and tap: produce 1 colored mana of 2 colors (depending on specific sex land; one of each two color combo possibilities) doesn't untap during your next untap phase.
tap two sex lands; search deck for a basic land and put it into your hand. neither sex land untaps during your next untap phase.

Are there a gameplay series in the making?
We are moving out of the house we're in, which will give us a much better setup hopefully. That should be happening around July. After we get settled in gameplay will be one of our top priorities
Field of the Dead is actually pretty good in other formats, considering that it is banned in standard and pioneer. Stick to commander.
