For example, my friend is having couple of hundreds of local breed of sheeps, bcs its rare and local, he gets like 140 € per sheep, yearly. And i can imagine how much is for donkeys :)
The only issue is to do something like he is doing you need donations or government help. Because most people can't do stuff like this full time and not make a profit most people have to make a living to pay for food, place to live etc. I understand what you mean and it is amazing that he is helping this species from extinction and by creating the cheese he is also creating an incentive for others to do it as well.
Bro it's a donkey. You could save them from extinction by just releasing them to a nature preserve. As long as you don't kill them they won't go extinct. The donkey itself doesn't give a damn about "preservation of the breed."

Well, apparently from other vids about the cost of things, most things are only pretty cheap/affordable to us coz of the huge cost to the environment and other people that those companies hide in their marketing, otherwise we should be paying more for even regular fast food. Most people wouldn't want that though, so the race is for improving the production & operation processes, balance sustainability of the business and environment (after a lot of push and shove from activists and then policy makers)

Human woman can take medicine to produce milk when they haven't had children and yet still want to nurse an infant after adoption why aren't these donkeys given medicine to produce milk??? 🤔🤔🤔 It's so expensive.
