The total length of the Great Wall is 21,196.18 kilometers. It is amazing that China built such a magnificent project more than 2,000 years ago when there was no modern machinery! Therefore, the Chinese have been known as “Infrastructure Maniacs” since ancient times.
We just wore it against the sun, without any thoughts. Don’t take it so heavy, cuz it was never intended that way. Just a cute hat with panda’s against the sun 😊
Please do not wear such a stereotype bamboo hat in north China! In north China, local people do not wear bamboo hat at all! It looks very awkward when you put the bamboo hat (only popular in south China and Southeast Asia) and the Great Wall (of north China) together...
Our hotel gave it to us 🙄 They told us it’s perfect to wear to the wall actually. We just used them because they look cute with the pandas and they gave us shade to the sun. We didn’t have wrong intentions 😊
@@oliverdadema OK. But I hope you can realize more about that. Wearing the bamboo hat with panda is correct. Panda's Sichuan Province is a province of rice and bamboo. But the provinces along the Great Wall are not of rice and bamboo. It's not proper to mix them together.
@@oliverdadema Don’t worry, it’s absolutely fine to wear it in mainland China, whether in the north or south. I’m a Beijinger myself, and I wouldn’t think twice if I saw someone wearing one. I’m not sure how anyone got the idea that wearing a bamboo hat would be inappropriate in northern China-perhaps some overseas Chinese have been influenced by excessive political correctness in the West. As long as you’re not doing anything to intentionally offend Chinese culture/people/regulations etc.-which I’m sure you wouldn’t-just feel free to be yourself in China.
