I recently picked up a WM-FX10 and repaired the belt following your teardown guide, everything worked perfectly so thanks!
One thing I was wondering was if you'd be able to help me with please?
When I put the walkman back together the door/lid is loose, doesn't stay closed. I found a spring on the floor which I believe has come unattached but I can't work out where to attach it. Since you recently fixed the same walkman I was hoping you could help me to locate where the spring goes and fix the loose door! Thanks

Hello. I just bought a WM-FX10 and replaced the belt. When removing it from the case, the part with the play button came out so I put it back in place. Now it gets stuck and the pause button does not work at all. Is there any fix for this?

@@InsideOutElectronics in that link it is the seventh picture titled “main board + head” that detached. The pause button does not make it go back up when pressed and it only plays for a little bit before stopping on me.
@@yasgam1723 ok, let me think what can be done....
I like the lack of screws to get the internals out, but screws instead of clips works have been better for the case. Nice find!
I am afraid this case can be disasembled only few time before it looses all the clips.... very brittle.
