Hauntingly beautiful. I can't help but think of my precious husband in his last days...how his sickness had weakened him from the man he was and his days were growing cold, as he lost his strength. We had so many plans, so many more places to go, so many more places to see. So much more love to share. God, how I miss him.
Totally fell for this melancholy sound way back in 1993. Still brings back very vivid summertime memories and being 18. This song takes me right back there for 6 minutes every time!
4 songs I’d wake up to, everday at 6am in 94 this 1, sail away-Great White, Love is a battlefield- Pat Benatar, Sometimes Love Just ain’t Enough- Don henley&Patty Smythe. 93-94 were transformative years, crazy times. People left, people stayed, settled down, and free as a bird. Some people Died, some people didn’t die, some people got lockd up, some……some people changed ✌🏼
My wife and I fell in love during the recording and release of this album stunning music from Jimmy Page with amazing vocals from David. At the time my son was one year old from another marriage and my emotions very vulnerable and totally, wrecked I was recording my first full rock CD David was a true inspiration for years to my voice my muse. The passion that Dave poured into this I poured into my voice on ADRENALIN DEDICATED TO ROCK AND ROLL you can find it here and on CD baby. Coverdale Page became our link to our love affair. It wasn't till years later my now wife found me again after many years and hardships. The record moves her and makes her cry. At the time this record was very very popular Joey Vendetta from Q107 called it one of the greatest most underrated masterpieces of all time. We married in 2010 and our first dance song was TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF...cant you see why I want you and no one else...from the first thing in the morning till the last thing at night ...I just wanna hold girl ...and make you feel alright yaaaaa.
5 years ago, when I first mate my actual boyfriend, i was listening to this song 100 times a day... hoping that one day he will take me for a little while... sing me songs he knows will make me smile.
Kasandra Fournier I wrote this (Why don´t you take me for a little while?) in a Messenger's message for a little beautiful girl that i'm fall in love, and i have no response. Your commentary makes me wonder if one day she'll be my girlfriend too! Greets from Brasil, and sorry for my poor english!

I have this CD, at least 20 years without listening this song, evendo I can remember every piece of the lyric and song, incredible all the memories the music can bring to you in a piece of second. I am getting older, but happy about that.
Such a kick ass song and album!! Held up well after 30 years too!! A touch of Whitesnake and a smattering of Zeppelin. Just a phenomenal combination!! Damn good band with David and Jimmy.
Thank GOD someone has found and posted this song, like others, I gotta say, THANKS SO MUCH!!! for posting this seemingly forgotten, kick ass ballad... If I hadn't heard it by a fluke chance in the truck a month or so ago, I would've never remembered this!
...because grunge was already being seized upon by the mainstream by the time this came out. I love this track but have you seen the video? LOL....MTV didn't even want to play it, so cheesy.
Robert plant was sooo jealous when this CD was released. If they toured for awhile on the strength of this CD it would have been Hugh. Adding Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple. AND white snake tunes to the set and following up with another release. This CD was far superior than any Robert plant or plant/Page releases!
The Year 1993 I remember seeing a bunch of used CD"s at the warehouse Store I bought one anyway and I don't regret it. Later a friend asked me what I thought of it he was having second thoughts and wanted to return his I said " It's Great Album keep it " and he did.

True classic. I had this album and loved it. Coverdale's vocals and Page's guitar are well matched.
