She didn't have shulker boxes to carry tropical fishes in bulk, didn't have a really efficient breeding grouds like botan and nene's and she started late but still ended up getting the very first one. Yabe

I really like this contest Kanata doing her breeding program in a modern looking way while Fubuki looking like old and traditional breeding complete with woods and dirt as a ground
Edit: I also did try it last night using Fubuki's breeding setup and guess what I also got it in a few hours
The one that Kanata has is not too efficient, since the parents have to be different in color, so the one Fubuki has with just 2 in each slots is more effective in this case.
We used the same method as Fubuki trying to get the blue axolotl, took us about 5 hours before the first one, but it was worth it.

My cousin (also playing Genshin) was right beside me when I pulled her. His main Pyro damage source is Xiangling (which is to say "Not Ideal") while I'm currently sitting on a Lvl 70 Diluc + Bennett after having not played since Rosaria dropped (which some people would call pretty good).

Fubuki was helping kanata farm fish all night. Lucky sheep drop by and the blue uparupa was born. For context kanata has farmed 1k axolotl collectively and was streaming for 10 hours in 1 stream.
Wouldn't "I haven't heard anything yet. I've heard just pigeons." or something along those lines be more accurate for 04:58's "boku ha mada nani mo kiite nai mo. hato shika kiite nai mo" with the intent behind what Kanata said being that Fubuki hasn't yet explicitly said that she got a blue one so the "race" is still kind of on as the words of pigeons (those viewers gossiping between streams) don't count? Just my two cents.

It's spawn rate is just 0.083% if you breed them from any other color than blue.

The blue one can only be obtained by breeding. It has a 1/1200 chance of breeding.

ahhhhh that explains why Kanatazo didnt come take a look... although that said, I dont think there is any "reset" about it... random numbers that low are.... evil to begin with.
It's not a matter of low numbers anyways. That's just not how probability works in the first place. I can start playing right now for the first time ever, breed a pair and get a blue one (assuming it is really RNG) with luck. Just as much as someone who does 1200 breedings isn't guaranteed a blue one.

The Blue axolotl which Fubuki got is the rarest variant to get, and that is because if you breed two axolotls there is a 0.083% chance one of them is going to become blue.
this rareness only cameabout recently with the new update which does not let you find them in the wild while u used to be able to in previous versions
