I doubt very much there will be a reunion (though I guess everyone has their price! Haha).
JAMES, Three great bands in the title above. I saw The Fall at the Channel in 1988. They played with Luxuria. So many great bands played there. I remember the first time that I heard Mr Pharmacist from Bend Sinister. I ran out and grabbed the album the following weekend. I think it was 1985 or 86 if I remember right. I remember listening to The Queen Is Dead religiously right around that same time. So maybe it was 1986. > Dug seeing the Dead albums too. Great stuff J~ Rob/Boston

I do not own and not so familiar with Sonic Youth....as I always thought they crossed in to the Grunge genre. I do not believe that is the case now.....I see now that those 4 albums from 86-90 are the ones to get. Always great to see Grateful Dead. Their special boots are just to much money. cheers Steve
Sudden image back flip James you trickster. Nice Fall records, I haven't got Bend Sinister or Curious Orange. Sonic Youth's Sister is probably their best LP imo or maybe Evol. Hey James. I've got the Flying Nun pressing of Sister and when I managed to get it signed by Lee Ranaldo it was the first thing he remarked on. In the states they got pinged for using the Disney image and had to black it out
Great haul James! Those are some of the best fall albums for sure and you can’t have too much sonic youth in your life. To connect further, have you heard sonic youth’s cover of the fall’s ‘my new house?’ I think they do a pretty good job.
Cool to see the Fall LP's....not sure if you mentioned how much you paid, but Fall albums have vanished in the UK and if one popped up I'd expect to see it priced well above £30. Same for Sonic Youth actually. John's sudden video endings are legendary, I always think it's because he's heard his wife coming up the stairs.
Hahaha so true about the wife thing, I am always paranoid in my videos that I haven't clicked the record button..I've done it before and spent 20mins talking to myself with no recording, it's always hard to get up and do it all again a second time around.
Not as bad as recording a whole video successfully, then realising when you watch it back that there's some dribble down the front of your jumper. That's happened to me. I also once recorded a whole video then realised I had a huge weird eyelash sticking straight up above one eye. It looked like a moth had landed on my eyeball.
The hair threw me off! Always love when a collection with stuff you are interested in comes available. The Fall stuff is great. I have a shit ton of Dead records and when i went to pull American Beauty out while you were talking about it I realized I dont have it. WTF. I must've gotten rid of it at some point when I held fast to "Live Dead is the best Dead." Still believe that but now i have to go find a good clean copy. Fuck. And finally realized what you were talking about. It is not a Christmas Tree. It is an absolutely terrible fake decorative plant of some sort my wife bought and threw in the den. I may burn it.
I wanted to come here and say: wait, what kind of shampoo do you use that your hair grows back so fast?! 😂 but then the disclaimer came, haha. That are some bargains here! I have the Mobile Fidelity version of American Beauty, but cannot remember how it compares to the standard release.
