  • This Rio Yellow Pearl AP2 S2K has been a real treat so far! I had a small checklist of things I needed to do with it, and it's just about as perfect as it's ever going to be for a 59,000-mile car. Thanks for watching.

    Looks beautiful! If you haven't already, treat the gaskets & weatherstripping around the top and windows. Back in the day, Honda recommended Shin-Etsu silicone grease, which is what I used religiously on my S2K (put a dab on your finger and smear it on like lotion). Years later I discovered BMW Gummi-Pflege which also works well and is a little neater (it is a liquid with a sponge applicator on the bottle). Either way, it keeps the gaskets soft and allows the windows and top to seal better and slide smoothly, eliminating squeaks/noises and wear. Looks good too. I use these products on any cars with frameless windows, but it's even more helpful on the S2K because of all the gaskets & weatherstripping on the top.

      That's a great reminder, and perfect timing because I just remembered I have Gummi-Pflege thanks to a friend who gave me some a while back!

    I came close to buying a yellow S2000 before opting for my red one. Reason I walked away who zero trust in used car dealer selling the car. I have to get one of those tonneau covers for my S2K. Did you buy yours from a parts retailer or privately?

      The main thing is just a damp microfiber rag for dusting. Then Meguiar's Natural Shine for the vinyl, and Griot's Leather Care for the seats.

    Sup Tyson, I just subscribed to your channel. I have a 1995 Acura Legend GS model automatic 4 door. It hasn't been started up in over 2 years. Now it won't start. I can hear a click when I turn the ignition on so I guess the fuel pump is working. Other issues I'm having is finding parts. I need a air intake hose and I tried ordering it online only to receive the wrong part. If you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it😁

    • @TysonHugie
      @TysonHugie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a starter issue. I think aftermarket parts are still available for that. Make sure you join the Acura Legend Owners & Enthusiasts FB group for a good resource. Lots of parts are discontinued.

      @@TysonHugie It's turning over when I try to start it. Its not getting any gas. Maybe because I let it sit so long without starting it. I'll definitely join the Acura club

    Nice video, Tyson. Your S2000 has many of the desirable OEM accessories such as the hardtop, headrest speakers and the pouch that is behind the drivers seat. I would check the retention straps on the soft top to ensure they are still elastic as they will breakdown. Once they lose their elasticity, the soft top will still open but not all of the way. I installed the Modifry straps on my car and it was very easy.

    • @TysonHugie

    Tyson, if I’m not mistaken, I think that vinyl cover with the “S2000” is to put at your trunk and rear quarter panel when installing/removing the hardtop. So you won’t scratch the paint when handling the hardtop (since it’s kinda heavy and it’s not easy doing it solo if you don’t have help).

    • @TysonHugie
      @TysonHugie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahh you're probably right! Thanks for clarifying!

    The S2000 is THE quintessential roadster sports car of our generations. This car is not a cabaret. This car is more theater than the TL Type S! The S2000 needs no introduction and no mods necessary. Its engine sure is a gem!
