This was exactly my experience. I hated fiction so much and thought of it as pointless untill I started reading the Classics and dude...ever it's been amazing
Same thought. I usually revolve myself in reading philosophy, history, sociology, and self improvement contents in relation to masculinity. But part of my time I like reading comic books as well. It's like going out of your comfort zone. In order for your knowledge to be expanded, u must do something new or consume something new, in order for you to grow as much as u want to keep refining a certain discipline to reach the level of mastery. That's where new ideas come in, through new exposures.
Love this. Trying something new where I split my reading time into one segment of deep focus on one book, and a second segment where I sample from a few books. Great content!
I think i will start taking lessons from you to become a polymath. I have alot of doors in front of me that I am planning to utilize this year. I am planning to get into Advanced Mathematics, Philosophy, Poetry, German Language, Programming, Architecture, History, Political, Animation and Mechanical Engineering. I will take this as a first advice from you: Read all types of books.
im starting to read more and more wildely but regarding fiction, i still feel its some what pointless, like even tho i know a lot of people that embrace the thought of it doesnt really get to me, may i know how u changed and why u changed? and even tho ur choice of books seems educational how come fiction books make a good deal
I get you. Most fiction, especially modern titles, aren't 'educational' at all -it's all just for fun. More famous works have depth to them though, the kind that teaches you a lot about humanity and the world we live in. Sure, the insight can be harder to get to, but it's there regardless. After all, it's the oldest form of writing.
@@odysseas__ that sounds very eye opening, could u please tell me what type of genres or book embrace such knowledge and are intersting to your taste of choice? do u also like anything modern fictional for fun as a form of entertainment from time to time away from pure knowledge types of books?
@@MaRio-dr1qx I like classics, anthropology, history and philosophy the most but I read almost everything. Also easier fun stuff, yep. Not modern fiction though.

Well said
@@odysseas__ as an individual, what genres do u often read?
@@yrdneh9385 Honestly, similar to you. Most often it's classics, anthropology, history, philosophy and a bit of everything else

Cheers, and that's sort of my style too
Can you start a series on the types of subjects we can learn. Polymath series or something. Would be helpful for a lot
I have plans for something similar, yep
I need it too!!
Polymath Pursuits ftw
💯 I love the boring stuff but the fiction creates context to the history as well. And sometimes I just need some Asimov or Vonnegut.
Exactly
So, "keep your mind open"
Yep, don't bash before you try it
Peak YT channel

Nice.
Nice, love to see such an interesting range
Please put these subtitles below or just make it disappear at all. It hinders the focus.
Bruh, books have given you such harrowing afflictions! 😄 But yes, love your videos👌
Yeah I know right.. thanks too
Jack of all trades
Thank you
