Two things I'm not seeing mentioned enough in the discussion of this match-up:
1) Ole Miss is playing their 7th game in a row, on the road, in Tiger stadium where Brian Kelly is 12-0 at night. No game Ole Miss has played all year comes anywhere close to this level of competition, this environment or these stakes.
2) LSU is coming off a bye week and should (finally) be getting Chris Hilton back at WR.

Said Hilton will return some point this season but not this game because the injury is lingering and they don’t want to play him at 70%, especially since he isn’t comfortable. Even worse part is Tre Harris is at 100% and will play. One of his relatives said he talked to Tre, he was a little banged up after SC game but he’s 100% good and Lane is just pulling a Lane Kiffin move. So I hope BK is preparing for that

Y’all don’t understand home field advantage only favors the defense if the defense can communicate. LSU is a subpar defense who won’t be able to make mid play changes they need to in order to be put in favorable positions.
LSU has one of the best D Lines in all of college football rite now averaging 4 sacks a game and a ton of turn overs while Ole Miss have struggled to get off the field on 3rd downs..I believe your take is the national media take and if my take is the rite one look for LSU to win big.

Night game in death valley with LSU coming off a bye. Not a great spot for any team in the country really especially Ole Miss.
But i think both teams will be up and ready for this game. like it or not the UK game was a wake up call for ole miss. They completely dominated the SC game from start to finish. But LSU matches up against Ole Miss' defense better than SC; Nussmeier is a stud and if they can get a rhythm in the passing game it could be a high high scoring game. But the front 7 and specifically D-Line of Ole miss is legit and will probably cause issues for LSU. I don't expect Durham to be a huge factor unless their passing game forces light boxes. I also think Ole Miss' offense will be able to eat against that LSU defense especially with perkins out.
Give me Ole Miss winning by 2 scores 41-28.

Garrett Nussmeier off of a bye week. Gut feeling he causes Ole Miss a lot of trouble. This seems like a similar situation to 2022. Older first-year starting QB who gets better every week. Ole Miss got blown out after leading early.
