I spent every summer for several weeks in Bluffton when I was young, from about 1 until 16. My aunt lived in Savannah, but had bought a house on the May River many years before where her father, my grandfather, could go to fish. I loved Bluffton. There was no traffic, no fast pace, somewhere caught in time. I remember stopping to get banana popsicles, swimming in the river, going to Hilton Head where there was nothing yet. Crabbing, so many things. It makes me sad to think it has been "Yuppified". But I guess that is progress, and it brings money into the area, and the people living there. But I miss the old Bluffton.

Audio narration would have been better
