I have ADHD and it gets really hard for me to get motivated to do productive things for my life but I started taking medication and it’s helped me even become closer to God. I feel so happy when I can look back on the day and see I did what God wanted me to do instead of messing around/procrastinating.
Meds for me blocked the holy spirit and became hard to get off of. They do help you become more productive but in long term use stimulants may put a wall between you and the Lord & not work as welll once you continue taking them. It depends on the person I guess, not all adhd meds are stimulants also.

Many years ago that was my question too. The THOUGHT occurred to me and I shared with the Principal of the Theological School where I was teaching, And he too discussed it with faculty & students at the teaching sessions. "WHY DO I DO WHAT I DO?"
