During the plotlines of Endgame, he was wandering all over the world killing criminals at will that he deemed were an immediate threat to society; criminals and under lords like the Yazuka clan that had fighting skills far more superior to Maya's. However he didn't see Maya as a true criminal. She was fed misleading information that Ronin killed her father when it was really Kingpin who ordered the hit. Hawkeye knew this and felt it was wise to spare her life.
I'm so happy we got a show where we could see the extent of Clints abilities as just a normal human specialist. He's always outclassed by Widows acrobatics, Tony's genius, and the others that have powers. I loved this show because of this.
They did that dirty on Clint, while they both are efficient hand to hand combatants and Clint did beat Natasha in the past. But in the movies, he didn't get his deserved moments.
If you really think about it,Clint,unlike Natasha and Yelena is not an agent for an intelligence agency,he is an assassin,a hitman,trained to kill people as efficiently as possible.The reason he seems closely matched to his opponents is because ever since joining the Avengers,he has been trying to defeat his opponents and not kill them,which isn't his forte.
I remember Black Widow taking down a lot of trained agants without killing them. I hate this show because it only made Clint look weak and even more useless
He worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. a lot longer than Nat and directly under Coulson who worked directly under Fury so I imagine he was very agent like in regards to his own peeps but he did kill many, many people. He shined against Ultron's because he could kill them. Dude is a total cold blooded murderer in a hero of the universe's body and it's amazing. Hoping all the best to Jeremy Renner for bringing this character with all his murderous complexities to life. Booking with Avengers and Endgame where he gets to slaughter freely was perfect to show how worthy of his Avenger title he really was.

He literally needs a rookie avenger to save him twice in that show and can't even keep her safe. She would have literally died if Yelena didn't attach her to the rope... I liked what they did to him in Endgame because he finally felt Avengers worthy, but this show totally ruined it for me. Not only was he in his weakest Form, but he also used Binoculars to see something across the street completely ruining his name.
One of the best Clint Barton/Hawkeye scenes ever, which reminds you why this man has stood up and fought alongside the Gods and lived. He can stand up against any Human and win, more than likely, but when you are standing against a being who can punch a building and punch another as the first collapses a second later? No wonder he seems just...well, less. But even the Black Widow wasn't Human standard and, lets face it, there's a good chance she was enhanced in some way. Clint is the only 100% Human in the ranks, excepting Falcon, who use's what is effectively a powered suit to compensate. Clint uses a weapon that Humanity started using when we were still living in caves-and makes it work against an alien invasion when they are shooting at him with ray guns that tear through vehicles. Think about that.
Best ones? A girl who only trained 2-3 martial arts in her spare time is able to steal his sword, cut him in the arm and almost kill him and you say this is one of the best ones? They should have made him fight Fisk/Swordsman/Bullseye instead of Echo, this fight only make him look weaker than ever...
@@nicolasp8pl We don't actually know the extent of Echo's training or her full skill set. In the books, she's absolutely lethal. Having him fight Fisk would have worked, mind.

It's definitely the writers fault for this disappointing scene, but yeah they wanted to push her in the series and they did.. Unfortunately without caring much about Clint Barton...

Keep in mind maya was not holding back at all this was her moment where she wanted to rilly kill the ronin... yet clint still beat her without cutting her if he rilly wanted to kill her she would have been dead within like 2 minute's
Keep in mind Maya trained in her spare time against regular people in regular dojos. Clint was trained by S.H.I.E.L.D and spent most of his life assassinating people and even dodged few of Black Panther strikes. Maya shouldn't be able to cut him in the arm.

Black widow is too but she doesn't have to kill because she is a lesser super soldier so it is easy for her to not kill on top of her conditioning. But Bart is 100% human. No augmentations. But he was conditioned to kill almost entirely. So if he fights you with the intent to kill, he is giving his all. If he fights you without the intent to kill, let alone not even cut you, you know he is holding back.
@@nicolasp8pl no. She isn't. The Red Room had an imperfect version of the Super Soldier Serum. It was mentioned or brought up briefly in The Black Widow movie, I think. All it did was enhance her endurance and stamina and the rest was conditioning
Almost every human villain organization in the MCU had some version of the serum. The Centipede program in iron man 3, The Red Room, Hydra, I forget what other groups had it but they always had some version of it in some way. Nat is basically Jason Bourne because Jason Bourne was an augmented human and the rest was conditioning
Clint call kill her with 2 or 3 strikes with that sword with the same method he used against the Yakuza dude. This clip shows he is restraining himself not to kill her.
He's still weak. Echo knows 2/3 martial arts from training in her spare time and she's still able to steal his sword, cut him in the arm and almost kill him.

The entire fight is epic, but when he catches Echo's leg with the dull side of the blade and administers the take down was freaking sick. I'm liking Echo.
Of all the agents Nick Fury could have sent to kill the Red Room Academy’s deadliest Black Widow, he sent Barton. He wanted Romanoff dead, not recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D., so he sent someone he knew would be able to get the job done. Natasha lived as long as she did because Barton decided not to kill her when he was supposed to. If Barton had wanted Echo dead, she’d be dead immediately, especially after threatening his family. Instead, he sends Echo a very clear warning by first reminding her what he’s capable of when his family is in danger or worse (such as slaughtering her father and his entire crew), then giving her a new, more valuable target so she does his work for him and tries to kill the guy who ordered the hit on Barton. If you still think Hawkeye is a useless Avenger after this scene where he displays combat skill, guerrilla tactics, and psychological manipulation that would make Natasha proud, there’s nothing I can do for you.🏹
The fact that she stole his swords 5s in the fight and that he can't beat her without getting hurt already proves that he's weak. Echo is just a criminal who trained about two martial arts in her spare time against regular people. He's so smart and tactically wise that he can't even see what Echo is about to do and end ends up needing Kate to save his life. He's literally so weak that he would have died if Kate didn't think that he's useless, so idk what you're talking about.
@@nicolasp8pl Echo has photographic reflexes like Taskmaster, except she doesn't forget the moves she copies after a while, and since she's Kingpin's surrogate daughter, he would've had her study footage of Daredevil's fights against his people. Throwing a pistol magazine as a distraction tactic is also tactic straight out of Bullseye's playbook, which means she also studied Ben Poindexter's combat footage from the convoy attack, the Bulletin massacre, and the three-way fight in Kingpin's hotel suite. In full Ronin-mode, Clint Barton was able to kill an entire room of Mexican gangsters before they could even get their guns off. If Clint had wanted to kill Echo, she'd have been dead with one throwing star to the neck before she even noticed he took out her guys. Clint wanted her to go after Kingpin for him and back off his family, so he dragged out the fight so she'd know he was the real Ronin and so she'd remember what happened last time she saw someone wearing that hood. Clint never went for any crippling attacks to Echo's leg or her fingers even when it would've saved him, and even when he had the chance because he wanted her to receive his message, which a deaf person can't do if they're freaking out because they can't sign with broken hands. He was holding back, and that's why Kate took one shot to save him from one woman who becomes as good as you are while you're fighting her. Clint already did most of the hard work taking out the other seven guys. 🏹

She's not the cb Echo tho and all we know about her is that she beat a kid when she was small and boxed a guy in a sparing. Clint is also not cb accurate, because in comparison to the cb Hawkeye he misses and needs binoculars to see something across the street. Clint is weak, if he can't fight a somewhat trained person without seriously injuring them and without getting injured himself. He can't dodge or block strikes and gets cut in the arm? Please... They should have made a flashback episode after episode five and let Clint fight Fisk in there.
Echo was the original Ronin in the comics, she could still put her own spin on the title in the future (since they gave Daredevil’s role in her origin story to Ronin as a nod to her being the first Ronin, ik she probably won’t, but you never know)
This reminds me of a quote,if I'm not wrong it's either Feige or one of the guys working on MK answering a question about "what did MK do before the series?" And he answered that in the 5 year gap he was getting busy dealing with the underworld.Since he and Ronin are basically doing the same thing,it'd be interesting for them to meet sometime in the past. Or even,Ronin getting inspired by MK....(ok now this is some wacky theory)

And it's undeniable that Maya's combat skills are capable of rivaling Hawkeye's, and she had youth on her side. But Clint's decades of experience facing humans, aliens, and even gods, tipped this fight in his favor. And yes, his plan was to send Echo a message to stay away from him and his family, but he underestimated the voiceless warrior's doggedness in the form of revenge. Echo has simply overcome these severe sensory disadvantages.
Got to wonder if the show's writers have at least watched seasons one and two of Arrow, it has so many great episodes. They should have done more with the Clint Barton character, he needed much more screen time and more episodes.
He take down 6 people with ease and hold back when fighting maya because he is trying to make a point and still there's some folk saying Clint looks weak in this scene.
Because he does, he gets his sword stolen, cut in the arm and then needs Kate to save his life. The six people you mentioned are so weak that even the LARPers/ Kates step dad could overpower them easley, so it's not a big thing.

I love seeing his fight scene in endgame when he was fighting the yakuza and I said to myself “I want to see more” I guess because it gave me John Wick vibes also the suit is awesome
They should have gave him a flashback from the Blip. Make him fight the Tracksuits solo and also give him a fight against Fisk, where both would end almost killing each other.
The one thing I started to notice the more I watch this scene is that if you look hook Clint is taking those punches to the face and barely flinching just shows that he’s handled farrrrr stronger punches and at this point no ordinary human can really affect him 😂

That was great. This show have so many highlights and is one of the few best shows of the MCU so far. That being said, I so wanted to see Clint face Kingpin in the show, they could have done it easily as a flash back scene/episode or something, the idiot writers wasted that opportunity. Unbelievable he had less screen time than Kate Bishop in his own show... 👀 Not that there is anything wrong about Kate. I do like her a lot and the most out of all the new Phase 4 characters (there so many dumb and annoying new characters so far in Phase 4). I genuinely felt that Kate should have been introduced later, the show should have focused more about Clint Barton in his Shield days and the times when he was Ronin. This show had so much potential to be better or as great as the first two seasons of DC's Arrow show; it just wasn't, it was very entertaining though. Just my opinion that is all. 😇✌

Also... go rewatch Avengers: Endgame. That tracking scene where we see Clint introduced as Ronin fighting criminals in Japan. There is something great just waiting to be told in the style of a John Wick / Ninja Assassin movie but with Hawkeye instead... 😉👋
@@LetThatStuffGo I thought this show would partly be like that with a lot of Ronin Flashbacks but yeah... I don't think we will get to see Ronin anymore since they burned his suit. The only chance is if they showed some flashback in Daredevil born again series where Daredevil would fight and try to stop Clint from slaughtering all the criminals and perhaps even show a fight between Ronin and Fisk, but unfortunately I don't think they really care about Clints fans so yrah....
@@nicolasp8pl A Ronin movie (or in the Hawkeye show) can totally work, like an in-between sequel like Black Widow or X-Men: Days of Future Past. It worked for the show Arrow, each of those episodes about the Green Arrow had a great amount of flashbacks. Yeah, I do hope to see Jeremy Renner appear in a Spider-Man movie and a the Daredevil show some day.

Not too bad a fight but I cannot stand Echo. When Hawkeye went all Ronin he was not hunting petty criminals. He hunted Mexican Mafia, he hunted Yakuza, he hunted the worst of the worst. So Echo calling him a monster for killing her family, her family that was part of some brutal and disgusting criminal organization. Sorry, there is no amount of amending and awakening they are ever going to do for her character that is going to make me care.
I think my only complaint about this would be the camera cuts that make you a little dizzy and feel unnecessary. But the rest is a 10/10 I'm glad that Hawkeye has his moment of glory in HIS own series, leaving aside the good Cap and Natasha, but after being Ronin in End Game it makes me think that he is the best soldier and assassin in the MCU
Hawkeye Season 1 should've showed the story of how Clint became Ronin, the story should've entirely focused on Hawkeye, some part of the show should've took place in Tokyo and then they should've made the season 2, which would've introduced Kate Bishop, just imagine a street level TV-MA show in a post apocalyptic world. Directors of Ms Marvel and Bad Boys Adil and Bilal should've directed it. It just sucks that not a single project in the Multiverse Saga showed the post apocalyptic world after Infinity War and Hawkeye was the perfect show to do it, because during those 5 years Hawkeye was not in touch of any other Avenger, that show could've made Hawkeye shine more than ever, had so much potential but they chose to make Hawkeye a show set during Christmas and Clint was not even the main protagonist. I don't hate the show or Kate Bishop, I like both of them, but it could've been so much better.
Imagine a MCU and CW Crossover with Hawkeye vs Green Arrow, interesting Fight/Battle. The Story could be that the Dark Archer is on a Serial Killing Spree, and he is making it look like Green Arrow is doing it, so the police go after him, but are having no luck. The Police reach out to Mrs. Waller who reaches out to Mick Fury and SHIELD. The send in Hawkeye to detain or Kill the Arrow, resulting in a Controversial Epic Fight/Battle. The 2 of them figure out what really going on and team up to take down the Dark Archer!

They didn’t make these characters specifically for the MCU Secondly, Fury and Heimdall’s racial change, and Phastos’ homosexuality, are all based on the directors, it’s not Kevin Feige’s fault that the director specifically wanted someone else to embody their vision of that character. And it’s not like Fury and Heimdall’s personality revolve around them being black. You don’t see them running around saying “look at me I’m a strong and powerful black superhero”. Daredevil. He has superhuman senses coupled with superhuman agility, dexterity and balance. He would counter every one of ronin’s attacks because of his heightened-awareness. You could say Ronin might try to sneak up on DD like a ninja from behind but DD can detect the most minute vibrations in his environment.
This fight made Hawkeye seem weaker. When it comes to the execution his alter ego as Ronin doesn't seem scary at all. Also, the show made me feel obligated to like Echo. Failed at that
Clint is a far better fighter than this. Didn't u notice in civil war even though vision overpowered Clint Clint dodged vision's every punch while even though vision was a smart AI couldn't dodge any of client's attacks. But if Clint fought like that here he will be too powerful so the directors made him slightly weaker so the villains wouldn't be puny.
The fact that he gets outskilled at the end, it's humilliating to the character. And I am not even going to mention the disneyland version where everyone allows a hateful enemy without code or honor to live, so she can take vengance in the future, AGAIN.... It's beyond idiotic.
They didn't really explain it. He killed criminals because they got to live while his family didn't and he was just filled with rage. Why, where and when he got the suit never got explored.
Face it, the age of cool men is over. Now when a guy is the main character in an action movie or show, there will always be a woman that's a better fighter, smarter than him or both. Look at the new Prey movie. Predator kills like 10 grown men with guns and 5 Comanche men who attacked head-on with spears and bows, but who is the main character that somehow survived a hand to hand fight with the predator and even killed it? If you can suspend your belief for those scenarios why can’t you do the same for a woman taking on a man? If you are looking for things to be “believable” then these are not the shows/movies for you.

Clint is the only 100% Human in the ranks, excepting Falcon, who use's what is effectively a powered suit to compensate.
Clint uses a weapon that Humanity started using when we were still living in caves-and makes it work against an alien invasion when they are shooting at him with ray guns that tear through vehicles. Think about that.
Best ones? A girl who only trained 2-3 martial arts in her spare time is able to steal his sword, cut him in the arm and almost kill him and you say this is one of the best ones? They should have made him fight Fisk/Swordsman/Bullseye instead of Echo, this fight only make him look weaker than ever...

Keep in mind Maya trained in her spare time against regular people in regular dojos. Clint was trained by S.H.I.E.L.D and spent most of his life assassinating people and even dodged few of Black Panther strikes. Maya shouldn't be able to cut him in the arm.

Black widow is too but she doesn't have to kill because she is a lesser super soldier so it is easy for her to not kill on top of her conditioning. But Bart is 100% human. No augmentations. But he was conditioned to kill almost entirely. So if he fights you with the intent to kill, he is giving his all. If he fights you without the intent to kill, let alone not even cut you, you know he is holding back.

@@nicolasp8pl no. She isn't. The Red Room had an imperfect version of the Super Soldier Serum. It was mentioned or brought up briefly in The Black Widow movie, I think. All it did was enhance her endurance and stamina and the rest was conditioning
Almost every human villain organization in the MCU had some version of the serum. The Centipede program in iron man 3, The Red Room, Hydra, I forget what other groups had it but they always had some version of it in some way. Nat is basically Jason Bourne because Jason Bourne was an augmented human and the rest was conditioning
Clint call kill her with 2 or 3 strikes with that sword with the same method he used against the Yakuza dude. This clip shows he is restraining himself not to kill her.

Of all the agents Nick Fury could have sent to kill the Red Room Academy’s deadliest Black Widow, he sent Barton. He wanted Romanoff dead, not recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D., so he sent someone he knew would be able to get the job done. Natasha lived as long as she did because Barton decided not to kill her when he was supposed to.
If Barton had wanted Echo dead, she’d be dead immediately, especially after threatening his family. Instead, he sends Echo a very clear warning by first reminding her what he’s capable of when his family is in danger or worse (such as slaughtering her father and his entire crew), then giving her a new, more valuable target so she does his work for him and tries to kill the guy who ordered the hit on Barton.
If you still think Hawkeye is a useless Avenger after this scene where he displays combat skill, guerrilla tactics, and psychological manipulation that would make Natasha proud, there’s nothing I can do for you.🏹
The fact that she stole his swords 5s in the fight and that he can't beat her without getting hurt already proves that he's weak. Echo is just a criminal who trained about two martial arts in her spare time against regular people.
He's so smart and tactically wise that he can't even see what Echo is about to do and end ends up needing Kate to save his life.

Throwing a pistol magazine as a distraction tactic is also tactic straight out of Bullseye's playbook, which means she also studied Ben Poindexter's combat footage from the convoy attack, the Bulletin massacre, and the three-way fight in Kingpin's hotel suite.
In full Ronin-mode, Clint Barton was able to kill an entire room of Mexican gangsters before they could even get their guns off. If Clint had wanted to kill Echo, she'd have been dead with one throwing star to the neck before she even noticed he took out her guys. Clint wanted her to go after Kingpin for him and back off his family, so he dragged out the fight so she'd know he was the real Ronin and so she'd remember what happened last time she saw someone wearing that hood.
Clint never went for any crippling attacks to Echo's leg or her fingers even when it would've saved him, and even when he had the chance because he wanted her to receive his message, which a deaf person can't do if they're freaking out because they can't sign with broken hands. He was holding back, and that's why Kate took one shot to save him from one woman who becomes as good as you are while you're fighting her. Clint already did most of the hard work taking out the other seven guys. 🏹

That was great. This show have so many highlights and is one of the few best shows of the MCU so far. That being said, I so wanted to see Clint face Kingpin in the show, they could have done it easily as a flash back scene/episode or something, the idiot writers wasted that opportunity. Not that there is anything wrong about Kate. I do like her a lot and the most out of all the new Phase 4 characters (there so many dumb and annoying new characters so far in Phase 4). I genuinely felt that Kate should have been introduced later, the show should have focused more about Clint Barton in his Shield days and the times when he was Ronin. This show had so much potential to be better or as great as the first two seasons of DC's Arrow show; it just wasn't, it was very entertaining though. Just my opinion that is all. 😇✌

Not too bad a fight but I cannot stand Echo. When Hawkeye went all Ronin he was not hunting petty criminals. He hunted Mexican Mafia, he hunted Yakuza, he hunted the worst of the worst. So Echo calling him a monster for killing her family, her family that was part of some brutal and disgusting criminal organization. Sorry, there is no amount of amending and awakening they are ever going to do for her character that is going to make me care.

I'm glad that Hawkeye has his moment of glory in HIS own series, leaving aside the good Cap and Natasha, but after being Ronin in End Game it makes me think that he is the best soldier and assassin in the MCU
Hawkeye Season 1 should've showed the story of how Clint became Ronin, the story should've entirely focused on Hawkeye, some part of the show should've took place in Tokyo and then they should've made the season 2, which would've introduced Kate Bishop, just imagine a street level TV-MA show in a post apocalyptic world. Directors of Ms Marvel and Bad Boys Adil and Bilal should've directed it.
It just sucks that not a single project in the Multiverse Saga showed the post apocalyptic world after Infinity War and Hawkeye was the perfect show to do it, because during those 5 years Hawkeye was not in touch of any other Avenger, that show could've made Hawkeye shine more than ever, had so much potential but they chose to make Hawkeye a show set during Christmas and Clint was not even the main protagonist. I don't hate the show or Kate Bishop, I like both of them, but it could've been so much better.
They could have explored the tracksuit story and make Clint interact with characters like Derdavil trying to stop him or Punisher

Daredevil. He has superhuman senses coupled with superhuman agility, dexterity and balance. He would counter every one of ronin’s attacks because of his heightened-awareness. You could say Ronin might try to sneak up on DD like a ninja from behind but DD can detect the most minute vibrations in his environment.

Face it, the age of cool men is over. Now when a guy is the main character in an action movie or show, there will always be a woman that's a better fighter, smarter than him or both. Look at the new Prey movie. Predator kills like 10 grown men with guns and 5 Comanche men who attacked head-on with spears and bows, but who is the main character that somehow survived a hand to hand fight with the predator and even killed it? A teenage Comanche girl
@@user-gb4zm9ov3d it's true. I have absolutely nothing against women. Proud husband and father of 2 daughters. But we are built for different purposes and we can celebrate those differences instead of just acting like women are capable of everything men are. It's just not believable

This is the same universe where a teenager got bitten by a spider and got super powers, a surgeon turned into a magician, and a guy was frozen in ice for almost a century and came out alive. If you can suspend your belief for those scenarios why can’t you do the same for a woman taking on a man? If you are looking for things to be “believable” then these are not the shows/movies for you.
