The concept of this drama really reminds me of some parts of Japanese's dating culture. Rented partners, virtual lovers, and so on, are no longer uncommon, and how this drama has somewhat reflected that new dating trend is very interesting to think about. Overall a nice drama discovery :)

I highly suggest you watch this series. I also felt like its cringey for like 1-3 episode but after it I can't stop watching. Every episode makes me curious and excited. I can even count in my fingers how many chinese dramas I've till the very end and this drama is one of them. The story line and the twists are a must seen for chinese drama viewers. Really hope you watch it till the end.

Honestly the future is already like this for some people. We are addicted to Chinese dramas, we spent countless hours watching and fantasizing while we can use those hours to go places meeting real people or doing productive activities in our lives. Aren’t we somewhat similar to this scenario? This is a wake up call for some people including myself that I need to slowly cut back my watching hours and do something with my life. Anyway, that’s just my honest opinion for now. Just like any other addiction, it’s not easy to say quit and then it happens, we need to slowly cut back hour by hour lol. This is a great drama, finish it first then make your own decisions.
