You can take a lot of elements from this work of art, but I believe two of its most important (and perfectly depicted) are: first, the love and respect for nature itself; and second, the realization of what your true place in the world is. As Jack finally accomplished.

AVATAR got rereleased on September 23rd actually just in time for AVATAR: The Way of Water! (I don’t know how much longer it will be out…) but if you do go see it right after the main credits (not the super long rolling credits but the short quick ones) they have a scene from the upcoming sequel shown as well!

Avatar as well as Titanic had very simple plots and sometimes even cliché characters but the impact the scenes had for us, such as the destruction of Hometree or the sinking of the Titanic were unquestionable as well as the inspiration behind them and the research he did for them. This is just his approach.

But i think we as a society forget about our dark history and how this stuff STILL happens to this day. This is a reminder to stop repeating the history of violence and war. Its very hard to come up with a new way to tell this kind of story, and James Cameron found a perfect new way of telling this kind of story.
