The best Tourmalet battle I've ever seen. Been watching for over 30 years, done that climb nearly ten times (on a motorbike).
Believe me when I tell you, this is a beast of a climb. You don't understand how steep those hairpins are.

Did Andy win after the event?
If you mean if Andy won TDF that year, then no. It wasnt untill 2012 when CAS after a long proces decided to take away the victory from Alberto Contador due to the suspision of use of illegal substances that Andy Schleck was given the victory. Still this battle between these two great riders remains one of my favourite TDF memories.

@@fighteroffuture1476 You are right, Andy did not accept the title. But he is, however, now stated as the winner in official records as Contador was stripped of his title in TDF 2010. Contador was also stripped of his 2011 Giro title which was given to italian Michele Scarponi instead.
Lol Alberta didn’t win by falseness that didn’t age well.
Contador was doped to the gills here
