Glad they added a locking mechanism finally. About ten years ago I tried the plastic S-Biners and almost lost keys. Thankfully I heard them fall. I tried making own lock by using ranger bands and o-rings but it either didn’t work, or looked like crap.

Wow, thanks for sharing that experience! We dig the aluminum model but haven’t checked out any plastic ones. Thanks for watching 😃

How the hell do you lose your keys using any of these. Maybe that’s a user issue and not a product issue. Never had that problem. Maybe you are just too careless.

@@Sungroove Go read the reviews (numerous others also report this issue). I’m not careless. It’s a design flaw and was rectified by said design update (think real hard about why they’d add a locking mechanism… maybe, just maybe, they listened to feedback about people losing keys.
It’s obvious you haven’t used your S-biner much, or you’d realize the flaw.

As another commenter said in another video, these reviews have been a bit dragged on. For something like this is, 13 minutes really needed?

ya absolutely absurd, they are doing it for the youtube algorithm and nothing else. Longer videos perform better.

Thanks for the insight! Sometimes we just get carried away talking about gear 😂 We appreciate your feedback!

@@PackHacker2 We totally get it, for bags and other more complicated tech go off for 30 mins but for very simple things like these clips, all you have to hit is durability, how fiddly it is, is it worth the price.

I stopped watching after 2 whole minutes about the size. I only clicked the thumbnail to see how they would fill 13 minutes about a carabiner. I already have one of these, it clips things to things and the lock is useful and a bit annoying. That’s my review.

They could make a video and group items that would have a shorter review time together with time stamps for an easy experience. Could think of a fancy name for it and make it a weekly series with 3-4 small review products in the video. Can easily hit the 10 minute mark but also review more gear per week without becoming too troublesome to watch.

I've used a number of Nite Ize products over the years and the slide lock is a poor design because the locking mechanism does not stay locked. I have lost items because the slide literally slid down and the gate opened. The S-biner with the locking turner in the middle is far superior.

Love the channel but I recon you guys should at least halve the length of the videos they feel so long. This could be 2-3 mins and still give all the info

I have those. Three microlock size is smaller than what's shown in this video.
