I'm blown away. I grew up listening to Taylor Dayne music, but I had zero clue that she has sold 75 million records, that is AMAZING on it's own.
According to RIAA (who certifies), she sold 4.5 million in the US. I highly doubt she sold the additional 70 million in other parts of the world😂
Her net worth is under 5 million and she recently sold her LA home for 1.2 million and purchased a condo in Florida for the same price.
She has not sold 75 million albums.

@@Eric_In_SF I mean when u compare her to Whitney, Mariah, Celine and Madonna who have sold over 200million records and who have stayed pretty relevant, at least up until Whitney died. Taylor just fell off the map after the 80’s. I feel like Taylor should have been apart of that group. At least give her a job on American idol or something as a judge.
Even more amazing as that someone as talentless as Jennifer Lopez would be getting paid big $$$$ for "singing" or "acting" when she can do neither because she "speaks for the Hispanic audience" when she cant even speak Spanish.

I remember I was in 5th grade, hanging in my cousin’s room. She was playing this ballad that gave me goose bumps. It was, “Carry Your Heart”. I went home and busted open my piggy bank and bought her complete album. I have been a fan since and still have all of Taylor’s cassette albums. Great memories. I’m so glad she is STILL sharing her talent with us today.

My childhood revisited. Guess I’m dating myself, but I still remember when Taylor Dayne was relevant. There was a time when she had a string of hits on the radio - late ‘80s, early ‘90s - when they would always blast her songs at the skating rink. Glad to see her making some sort of a comeback now!
I can't imagine ANYONE would have trouble figuring out who was singing behind that mask. Taylor's voice is unlike anything else in music -- truly a gift from above.

Get on Spotify and check out her back catalogue. Her first 2 albums in particular were massive hits with fantastic songs on them. I was in high school when Taylor was regularly topping the charts. It's great to see young people like yourself respect pop artists of the past, be intrigued about their work and want to discover a world of fabulous, beautiful, timeless classic songs that came before you were born. Just like I did when I was young for the artists who came before me. Stay curious!

Still have the CD of Can't Fight Fate on the shelf - bought it when it first came out. An incomparable voice that's obviously gotten better over the years. And where'd Taylor find the fountain of youth?!
