I’m not sure they will play live Darko is a side project of Tom Barber from Chelsea Grin on vocals and Baby J from Spite doing all the instrumentals. I guess they could have stand ins but you made a good point about the pitch shift live being interesting as well and I’d love to see how they pull it off if they ever do play live. Love this band and this album ❤
Good review, even if I don't agree on everything. I think Tom, their vocalist, is one of the more interesting deathcore vocalists out right now, and he really shines in Darko as opposed to Chelsea Grin, imo. Agreed on the electronic elements included - really helps set this band apart from so many others and it feels refreshing. Interesting you note that acid inject is forgettable - its actually my favorite song they've done (or, at least in my top 5). 8/10 is probably what I'd give it too. Are you aware of any other bands exploring this sound? I'd love to check them out! Good video too, I'm new here and you've certainly earned a sub. :)
Thanks my friend! I'm also just starting to venture into this genre so if I find more interesting stuff I'll check it out and probably throw up more reviews.
Great review as always, will have to check deathcore album for first time since forever(I think I listened to the last Enterprise Earth release). Pity, seems like you're not that interested black metal, doom/sludge
Nah dude I absolutely LOVE doom and sludge, I just find those albums really hard to put together my thoughts on as they're incredibly dense and the TH-cam algorithm is fickle. I have to get reviews up quick to grow the channel, and those albums I prefer to sit with for a while before going over them, unfortunately the longer you wait the less those videos take off. Once I have the luxury of having more time and subscribers I'll absolutely be covering more black metal and death metal. For now unfortunately I've gotta play the game. It's not like I like having to review Slipknot.

Really digging your reviews! Would love to hear some of your favorite deathcore-like bands.
Thanks man! Deathcore is something I'm pretty selective with. Check out Mugshot!
