      I passed through early in the morning a week ago and had to do a drive through. Sad that I didn't get to stop and say hi! Intereting to see the river up 30' from when we were there.

    I'm glad you found a really nice place to stay while you're waiting for the truck to get fixed.

    Great video review .. At 4:33 those playground backhoe's were my favorite thing to play with at a local park when i was a kid

      Thanks! They were a lot of fun to play with at the park... or so I heard...

    Looks like a nice place, and my grandson loves the back-woes at his playground.

    7:24 we find out what "RESONANCE" does. LOL! (I just knew he'd tie it into ham radio somehow) 😂

    Well…that vehicle issue sucks, I was just beginning to live vicariously through you. I appreciate your help and wish you & your wife all my best.

      Hey Scott - I'll be back on the road soon enough, this is all part of life and life still happens out here on the road.

    My question is, if the truck shows up on day 1 of the free week, are you staying another 6 days?

    • @livingforalivingRV
      @livingforalivingRV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, give us time to shakedown the truck and make sure its good before we leave the area.

    How's the skeeters out there? For whatever reason we're getting eaten alive where I live, in the middle of September heat. Thanks for the park review; very nice that it has a pool and clubhouse, not what I would expect. Surprised you didn't use that super loud bell to ask us to "subscribe and ring the bell".

    • @livingforalivingRV
      @livingforalivingRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very little bugs here, which I'm surprised at. I did stumble onto TICK HEAVEN on a POTA recently tho. I'd suspect its because they have been in a pretty big drought tho.

      @@livingforalivingRV no I was born in New Orleans and know you lived up North. We used to evacuate from Metairie to Natchez when hurricanes would come into New Orleans. Moved to Oklahoma from there in 1983.

      Yeah, I'm moving away from up north to get away from (predictable) weather patterns... makes sense.

    Roast beef po-boys are also a thing. I usually go for an oyster po-boy, dressed (lettuce, tomato, mayo). Then I add a few drops of tobasco.
    Is that your trailer behind you? I notice it does not have a slide-out awning. My motorhome had such awning, and I am pretty sure it prevented water getting in during the big storms.

    • @livingforalivingRV
      @livingforalivingRV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, that's mine. No slide awning. So far, so good. But I'm always on the look out for leaks.

    Sometimes you just have to make the best of a situation. By the way what is your plan for the winter months, just stay south?

    • @livingforalivingRV
      @livingforalivingRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I don't have a "great" plan, but south is definitely the place to be.

    That dog wash is a nice feature. I need to get one of those so I can hose down my brother Greg before I let him inside. He likes to dig around in the dirt pile behind the house.
