THANK YOU FOR THIS! The Jerk, The Mash Potato, The Twist, The Stomp, The Swim...every dance had a name...and you were so "with it" if you could do them all on demand. And Tim you're so right about the beach vibe. They used to have dance shows on Saturday mornings with beach parties. (Shindig and Hullibaloo) California and beaches were all the rage back then.

YES!!! More 60's 70's and 80's!!! Timothy, that was what set your channel apart from most of the reaction channels. That, and your personality set you apart from all the rest.

This is the early 60's on American Bandstand. Dancing was everything. Chris features the organ on this hit. He mentions the Twist , The Stomp and Mashed potatoes all dances from that time. I was kid when this came out but enjoy it so much now.

Also .. “call me “…& .. “the more I see you.”. also are his songs !!! Both are excellent !!! 1965 OK. This song was so popular when I was in high school and we dance to it at the school dances in the gym. Definitely kept you moving up and off your seat and on your feet 👣!!😅 the organ player on the song let’s dance was fabulous. It really got your move-in. Nobody could sit while you’re listening to this song for sure. Love your reaction for it. Love the thought that you’re listening to music that we grew up with in the 60s and 😅70s. When you actually danced with a partner and you touched while you were dancing lol.

I just have to say this:
I was 13 years old (now 71 years old man) living in New Zealand when i first heard this song, on a jujebox in a milkbar, with my parents ! I could not keep my feet still and just had to get up and DANCE! My father was strict and this was outsude his boundaries and he commanded I sit down and behave! I've never behaved since, you can't just sit out that rock and roll! I see you jiving! Never stop living and smiling. Think I'm going to have that song played at my farewell service but I'm here for another 20 years, when heaven comes to earth! Love ❤️ from New Zealand 😘

Don't get old my friend. Everyone in that video dancing up a storm are in their late 70s and early 80s now because the singer of "Let's Dance," was a young great Latino singer who was a kid at the time & he's 80 now. Brings back lots of memories. Me? I was 10 years old in 1962 & I loved that driving drum beat. It was quite a record at the time. All over the radio.
Nice assessment. You do a good job. Yes, it had a Beach Boys style to it. You should play The Riverias' "California Sun," next. Both of those songs go together well & then end with The Surfaris' instrumental "Wipe Out." We certainly had variety in those days.
