Desmond, don't compare The Beatles to westlife, they are rock band a legend, and westlife is a boy band, a quintet!! It you really know what you're talkin about music you should appreciate every genre from rock, ballad, punk, mellow etc.
WHATEVER became of the progressive rock music of the seventies? we are now brainwashed by music orchestrated by the b.b.c. with the likes of boyzone, westlife and other instant boybands. half of them are instantly forgettable. even punk rock was far, far, far superior to this drivel from the boybands. only abba could justify i belive in angels. no one else can hold a candle to their version.
does anyone recall a scottish pop band called NORTH BRITAIN who appeared on the late late show back in the days of Uncle Gaybo? i have wondered where they are now. their music was pretty PROGRESSIVE ROCK, not thie bubble gum shite you get from westlife or boyzone.
