Most of the DBG rants are clickbait-y, but you knocked it outta the park with this one. I'm old, I've played this game/ game mode forever, and I believe this sincerely is the lowest they've gone... by a pretty large margin.
I hope everyone realizes series 2 cards means we arent seeing deluxe packs anymore

This is exactly why we purchased MT in the past because regardless if we spend hundreds of dollars on boxes it was not a guarantee we get the top card or the card we want. So this year... they do this and give us no other option other than gambling based on some stupid RNG algorithm? Screw em if they don't want to sell the cards straight up... not wasting money on packs.
That's the difference between 2k and the show. The show you can earn so many packs and sell cards on the market so you can just buy whatever cards you want.

I got the show 23, not even 20 hours in the game and I have an all 99 team, and I haven't even touched online. I know it's the end of the game cycle so it's easier to get good cards but wow. The progression is amazing

Why can't I just bought opal lebron James. That's my favorite player and I was excited use his Opal. This is ridiculous.
Even after spending 300k VC, or 1 million+ MT, you still have to gamble on the Opal equal chance pack... You could spend all of that currency and still be disappointed. Absolutely stunning...

Your absolutely right dude. What 2k has done to My Team this year is not good. The card are unbelievably hard to get and you will soend money trying. Its horrible. I went back to my 2K23. Ronnie gave everyone a raise and its coming out of the customers pockets.

I realized it never ends why even play early in the year your either spending 100s of hours or 100s of dollars too get crazy cards and there irrelevant within a month wish I never started playing my team so much wasted time and money quit now no animation of a virtual player is worth 100 dollars you’ll be bored in three days

I just cant understand how not everyone can see this as a horrible thing. I mean, this isnt a cosmetic only purchase.. this is paying hundreds to thousands of dollars for an advantage at the game.. the logic is lost and so is the morals of the company. 2K does absolutely nothing to benefit their customers..

THIS made me quit the game today, ive spent content creator money this year, because i enjoy collecting all the cards and using them, if they were available for direct purchase, i would certainly buy them, but random gambling? no, not like this! an all time low, and it makes me sad, i loved this game, flaws and all, but today, im done i have to be, this is one slap in the face i wont take!

I got LeBron opal on the lowest pack this morning.. I got I guess I got lucky I bought 3 packs and got 3 good players LeBron opal, Mitchell pink diamond and pg 13 pink diamond
Since I decided to stop playing at the end of the season I opened 2 20 pack boxes and two 10 pack boxes. These are the results:

The second 10 pack box was a dud since the best thing I got was some series two players.
From the remaining MT I had I bought all other east reserves and from the equal chance pack I got Haliburton. The odds are terrible, and I even got lucky getting opal Lebron. Terrible set all in all.
This is terrible by 2k. I enjoy the player market and just making my own decision to buy the cards. I miss the AH, but I thnnk its a way where they could do both successful under the right leadership. The current people are far too money hungry here.

They killed the value of mt. It was already bad enough players were locked behind pay walls but the fact that if you spend the 1.2 million for the option pack and don’t get the player you want all you can get is like 96k back is horrendous. It’s going to turn into a vc only game unless you can truly play this game like a full time job and then some.

I spent way too much money on this drop and I'am not a wealthy person. I spent $300 USD and the only cards I got were Giannis, Embiid, and tatum. I got every PD but I sold most of them to buy more packs so the only PD's I have that play for my team is D Book, PG, and Kawhi. I'm literally sick to my stomach about how much I spent. They better change stuff going forward because this is ridiculous. I really hope they only did this cause it was all-star weekend. I never thought in a million years that a video game would be on the verge of making me go into debt. I thought $50 a week was crazy and this week I 6 X the $50 I usually spend on players.
