The relationship between emotions, survival, and consciousness is presented brilliantly here.

This discussion of Mark Solms' describes all the triggers that shaped the barrage of emotions and feelings that overwhelmed my early adolescence and teen age years. I was overwhelmed by all these emotions that completely disrupted my life. I was searching for resolution of my emotional chaos. At 17 I read Freud's Interpretation of dreams. I didn't understand one word, yet intuitively knew that I needed to understand everything. When in my early 20's I found psychoanalysis. Not until today, did I understand how everything fits together based on my need to find homeostasis. It's mind blowing.💫
