- The Metalmoser spoke to Tuomas Holopainen probably the last time in 2016 and for 2017. Tuomas announced a sabbatical year. Very sad. Very sad. Until 2018: enjoy the interview or join the Nightwish Tour, that is running around the world up until around October.

This man is a genius, his music is out of this world, it is so beautiful, every piece of music he has written is beautiful.
Toumas, *SOME of us Americans can appreciate Scrooge McDuck...it's an awesome CD, and one of my favorites. I give copies to a couple of my nieces as a matter of fact :). And he is dead on about Floor...she is absolutely born for this.
Am I the only one who feels that this interviewer is horrible? I can see Tuomas' awkwardness in his face all the time, as the interviewer interrupts him and/or makes lame remarks("jokes").....

Faliandra tuomas is always awkward and uncomfortable, though. He's a huge introvert.
Tuomas is a brain. And he has compassion a lot. That is why he can treate poeple less intelligent so nicely.
I do not find the interviewer so upseting ... but I want to talk about Tuomas. It is very nice to listen to him. He is such an educated individual, you can see it in the way he speaks.
He is not one of these crazy geniuses, he is a mind of intense and deep thoughts. This is reflected in his works, and listening to the way he works with his band
you realize that he is a musical genius.

I have seen Nightwish twice and want to see them again and again. This band is so incredible they defy mere mortal words.

I think the Metalmoser is actually one of the few genuine and smart interviewers left in the rock/metal scene, especially when most channels do tend to only ask 'safe', publicity-oriented questions.
He might come off as "annoying" and "intrusive" with his awkward questions at first, but in a way he brings more out of the subject/artist, the things you won't necessarily hear them say in most press-tour interviews (interviews-in-disguise!). The majority of artists being interviewed will be quite defensive, but then again when they open themselves to the guy, then you have a great, honest interview, such as his talks with Sharon den Adel or Alan Parsons.
With the obvious edit after the 2:44 mark, it looks like they had to apologize and beg him to stick around for the rest.
Tuomas is just gorgeous in every way,his looks,his shyness,his artistic dedication and commitment,his humble genious personality...ohh with all do respect,but,I truly envy his wife!!!
I love this band I have for years. the fact that he does his own art projects is amazing.
btw I am American and I grew up on duck tales all the same lol.

I really admire Tuomas. He's my "baby" sister's age (I'm Marco's age). Tuomas is a brilliant composer and songwriter.

Wtf, I think he was a great interviewer! Sure he had a few odd comments here and there but overall much better questions than the usual interviewers.
He stepped on Tuomas answers repeatedly.

He is german. So you expect him to br stupid. But not this stupid. On the other hand Tuomas is a briliant!
But its about making people talk. We dont have to like the interviewer. So this could be a strategy. If you are goofy it usually makes people off guard and step away from a rehearsed pitch. With polititians that works. Im not sure here though, but i wouldnt know how else.

Ducktales was AMAZING, and I loved Scrooge McDuck!! It came later in my life, but still enjoyed it immensely! So for Tuomas to say, it's not popular in the USA is misinformed. Check again, Tuomas, McDuck has fans here

Sometimes you have to take a break to recharge and reflect and re-energize. I hope they come back in 2018 and blow us away again with a new set. Though yes, the interviewer was a total yutz.

Floor stated at her heavy mtl interview that she wants to actually take next year off. Once the tour is done it will be a year straight since they've been traveling and touring plus all the time in 2014 that they prepared and released the album. I'd Like to see more Revamp but she worked hard and deserves a break
