This podcast was recorded 11 December 2017. Barbara's written that she got tipsy and brave with Trevor (probably a kiss) at the RT Christmas party. The party in 2017 was the weekend of the 16th/17th Dec 2017 (if we look at Barb's Instagram). So pudding shirt was a week before they "sealed the deal"...

I cannot believe people legitimately get upset at someone wishing them a merry christmas or happy holidays. Seriously grow up and find something actually worth getting worked up about.

Why would anybody get mad? Did they mention that on the podcast? (Haven't watched all the way) but it's pretty stupid for anyone to get mad it's Christmas time people are being nice and saying happy holidays or merry Christmas it's common courtesy for someone to say that... I was at the ups store like a week ago the lady said thank you and merry Christmas I said thank you back and that was it no need to get mad

People in the comments aren't mad, not that I can tell anyway. It's about that story Burnie told about how 'Ellie' (it was Gus in last week's podcast) told that story about the woman saying 'and thank you for saying Merry Christmas', implying she's one of those people who'd get upset if someone said 'happy holidays', because 'it's CHRISTmas and stop trying to take that away from us and omg the foreigners/muslims'. Because that is a legit thing. People get upset over people saying ''happy holidays' instead of 'merry Christmas'. And all the sane people wonder why, because who cares.

Blank Frost I work there. The coffee is pretty bad. The espresso is okay, but straight up Pike place coffee is horrible tasting. Nothing to do with how it's made by employees, it's just poured into a cup.

I disagree with what Burnie said about Christianity. The reason many non-religious people see Christians as bad is because of what they see the extremely conservative ones do. I would say 95% of Christians are extremely kind, accepting people. I live in Lubbock, Texas which is one of the most Christian-minded cities in America, and most people here are very accepting. I have met very few homophobes and people who are hateful of those who aren't Christian. Most Christians are very kind and lovely to be around. This is coming from an atheist.

What I think Gavin was trying to say around 1:05:00 is that rarity is special ,in the sense that you get to have it one day and enjoy it more when it's available ,and that repetition is boring in the sense that having something when ever you want when you want it takes away that sense of being unique and special.
