what did you use for filling the gap and holes can u give me the name or link please also would i be able to install new vinyl on a plywood that previously had vinyl glued to and i removed the vinyl and sanding the plywood would that be ok thx

concrete? no. sun decks in houses are of wood in NY/NJ. there are vinyl decks, like vinyl fences etc, but not the vinyl sheet that you are using. would it be OK to use concrete on wood deck and add additional beams for support underneath?

+Baltimore Buck This particular installation does not require a drain because there are no containment walls. The deck is sloped slightly away from the building and the water simply runs over the edge. In many cases a gutter would run along the outside edge to catch that water spilling over the outside edge and direct it to a drain.
In some cases that is necessary, however because the water drips over the edge of the siding instead of running down the wall, the cant strip and caulking are sufficient. All the water will drip onto and run down the angle of the cant strip.
The fellow in the video is an expert and makes it all look easy. Provided you are a good do-it-yourselfer, you could do the job without too much trouble, up to the point of welding the seams. Welding the seams takes practice to get a nice finish. I recommend practicing on scraps or hire a professional to do the welding. Use the prescribed glue that is sold on the PRODUCTS page of the website.
The perimeter of the deck flashing has a perimeter clip that keeps the vinyl from flaring up. In this case you don't need to run it under the back side of flashing.
I have no idea why they don't use vinyl there, or even if is a fact that they don't use it. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps in NY everything is made of concrete and concrete does not need to be covered the way wood construction does.

What stops it from leaking under the siding and door
Cant strips and caulking.

Vinyl is supposed to be overlapped like a roof, especially fuzzy back

The filler and adhesive are both water-based, so it is not recommended to use those particular products at below freezing temperatures.

It is possible to use concrete over a wood frame, however special processes need to be used and I am not qualified to advise on that.
