    I honestly will never understand the hate for Jones. He is undeniably one of the greatest fighters in UFC history.

      Greatest fighter doesnt mean greatest guy ... He is cocky, he is saying things just for camera , he says bullshits all over , he looks down people at times and so many more things ... How not to hate this guy ...

    • @billyjean311275
      @billyjean311275 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quite simple, I don t hate him but I don t have respect for his skills as it is damn obvious that he wins because of his size rather than skills... the first guy of his size u put in front and he almost lost. Just people want him to fight at HW thats all. he ll never get respect as we don' t see him winning fair

    Not a huge fan of Jones but man he looked fucking awesome last night. The way he was using Ali, Roy jones, and Joe fraziers styles was pretty awesome imo lol

    Honestly, it's really GREAT to see someone so happy about winning a fight and saying it with pride. Jones kept saying, "I'm feeling great, I'm happy, I just won a fight" and it's just good to see that, seeing him just enjoying the fact he won the fight. It's very great to see.

  • @skysz86

    that standing elbow crank was pretty nasty. never seen jones do that before. texiera fought back the whole time and made jones back out from the offense every now and then. it wasn't a one sided fight like johnson vs davis. kudos to texiera for fighting back. the mans got heart. i guess people are gonna look out for those elbow cranks from now on.

    • @Markbabb
      @Markbabb 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      U sound stupid if he dears to take it?! Dana said they will fight and dats it jones can't duck out the fight or else he could be fired

    • @twistedfocus100
      @twistedfocus100 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Johan Magnusson
      Jones already said he would... Do you follow MMA or just spew dumb shit on y tube? Jones said he would do a rematch the day after...

    • @reaxor
      @reaxor 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      twistedfocus100 yeah, but if u follow his interviews he often says that he does not want to, the fight is happening because the people wanted it, they demand it. if jones could have it his way, he would dodge him.
      this interview proved it, he does not want to talk about it, he does not want that fight to happen, and he probably is trying to still fight it of, basicly you can see that the fight is "supposed" to happen. but given the circumstances im not 100% that it will, his dodgy personality is what gives this credit.
      im hoping for the fight, i really do, and i hope dana white and ufc stands firm on this. but until the fight is set, the contracts are drawn up and it scheduled, and even then, i would not be surprised if jones comes up with some injury that postpones the fight and so forth.
      this is just based on how he, his team, ufc, treated that fight. when its such controversy, if we just keep it to the one 46-49 judge, thats just shameful. but lets wait and see.
      still i dont see him as someone to love or admire anymore, he is a good fighter, i liked him alot, i dont see him as a true champion, a true champion does not make excuses, a true champion says allright, give me a fight and ill take it.
      he wants to pick and choose his fights.

      The true Champion? It's Jones! Who else? There's been no one who can fight like him. Ok, maybe Anderson Silva comes close to that. And Jones is getting better. Not only he's got elbows and leg kicks, but now he's got also arm cranks that can pop his opponents' shoulder. LOL! Watch out for that, Gustaffson; Jones is armed to his teeth.

    Awesome card! Let's be honest, people hate Jon Jones, because he's black. I've heard his naysayers say things like he's "arrogant" or "he's a douche bag," but, when pressed, they aren't able to articulate what he specifically did or said. On the other hand, GSP shows complete arrogance and disrespect by walking in the cage and telling Matt Hughes "I'm not impressed with your performance"and nobody calls him "arrogant", as a matter of fact, he's beloved. Chael Sonnen was charged with mortgage fraud and money laundering and snitches on his co defendants, and he's a STEROID Cheat, but nobody calls him douche bag and he's beloved. Also, Chael and Georges combined have 6 UFC finishes. Jones has finished 10 out of 12 fights in his UFC run. So what gives? They did the same thing to Anderson Silva for years and used the Maia fight as an excuse.

    As much as i wanted Jones to lose (not a personal thing, i just like the notion that no one is invincible) I really gotta admit he went through Texeira like he was nothing, not what i expected. Ok folks, here it is Jones has basically been in the cage with all the 205 killers and come out on top. Only fights that excite me now are the rematch with Gustafsson and a fight with Cormier. If he can get through those then he should go up to heavyweight or retire....nobody else left at 205 is worthy of his time

  • @Pta888
    @Pta888 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Jones has grown up a lot..very humble. Rumble totally deserved performance of the night. Hope that's what Dana meant by writing more checks. Never liked Phil Davis, thought it was real f--ked up to overlook Rumble and show so much disrespect. Miller looked insane as always, and "Blessed" just never gives up. Great card..

      djdbag he obviously does if he is the president of the ufc.gus might win the next fight but he only one 2 rounds that night in my opinion and i think jones is a better fighter and to everybody calling him cocky every fighter cocky and most fighters have respect for there opponents its fans like ye who twist shite and not respect some fighters.i respect everyfighter as a fan.

    • @belowpip420
      @belowpip420 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      i dont think hes cocky i just think he's a douche bag, and i think hes a great fighter, but imo i think gus won...thats fine everyone's opinions are gonna be different, but i didn't say dana didn't know what hes talking about, i love dana white, but his tune always changes when it comes to close fights, thats all

    • @EastVan11
      @EastVan11 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kyle P Yeah Jones douchey attitude fluctuates from humble guy to cocky ass hole. And i can see how people though he won.. But Dana can't say it was a clear cut decision and that there was no way Gus could've won that fight. I understand why Dana does it, he needs to eliminate controversy. Remember the the 2nd Edgar-Bendo fight? And Edgar clearly won the 2nd fight and Dana was all "Oh it doesn't matter what who i think won the fight" of course he has to say that because he said he thought Edgar won the first (I didn't) so if he says he thinks Edgar won both fights theres controversy.

    Great fights all around.. but the open-handed stance is a serious issue in this sport. Jones makes me nervous every time he fights. Especially with him grabbing at his face like that. He's lucky he didn't really hurt Glover Teixeira. This is something refs need to put on their list of priorities. I can't see why Miragliotta didn't stop him.
    Those closed-finger gloves couldn't come soon enough, Dana.

    • @ziongite
      @ziongite 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** True. They can't close the distance because of the fear they will eye gouge themselves. Other long guys like Gus don't do it. In fact it's the only reason Jones is the best as fighting smaller men. He holds his fingers right in front of their eyes and they can't really move forward unless they want the chance of becoming blind.

    Loved to see Gomi get that hard fought win over Vallie-Flagg (who has a BEAST of a chin!)! Would love to see him in there with someone like Sam Stout, Myles Jury, or Michael Johnson, Gomi is legit motivated now after this win, and he was NOT in as bad shape as Joe Rogan would have made you believe he was during the match. Don't buy the hyperbole that guy speaks.
    Also, can't wait for JJ to lose that belt to the deserving man, Alexander Gustafsson!

    in the Johnson and Davis fight, between the 2nd and 3rd round, listen to the advice that Davis's corner gave him. Davis couldn't get any take downs, lost on almost every exchange. so you would think that Davis's corner had a lot to say, but.... they didn't.
    i felt really bad for Davis, because he was truly a lone.

      Nate Whiles no. that's the common interpretation of the oedipal complex, however it goes deeper than that. more like an unresolved inferiority complex where you project those perceived inadequacies out at successful individuals (father figure archetype) etc... the heart of the matter is the same thing. we all do it of course; it's just that lashing out at JJ is a bit much to stomach.

    Look how this guy is trying to avoid the gus questions, he dont wanna fight gus ever again because gus made him look like he was all about height and reach. He has longer arms then gus but got outclassed when it comes to using the reach properly. He started to spam head kicks
    If he is so sure and comfortable that he won against gus why is so hard to talk about it.
    Gus gonna send him to the hospital once again this year

    • @Troof2powur
      @Troof2powur 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe you should worry more about Gus working on his cardio so he doesn't lose the last two rounds again. All you JBJ haters are more concerned about Jones losing than any fighter out there actually winning, smh.

    • @horslems
      @horslems 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Troof2powur nothing wrong with gus cardio, he just got tired of outboxing jones for 4 rounds.
      Next time he will end it in the first or second round so no problem.
      Jon jones is nothing without his height and reach. He couldnt even use his reach against gus.

      not a pussy, its just disrespectful. and you saying he won't beat Gus is short sighted. anything can happen in mma and with a screen tag like the one you have you should know that. remember wiedman vs silva? everyone was soooooo sure silva was gonna destroy him. both times... anything can happen man, anything can happen. oh and notice how i got my point across without throwing an off handed insult at you?

      he's not being disrespectful, it's a figure of speech. I say the same thing about a lot of people that are older than me. furthermore, he's probably around people all day that are older than guss that refer to him as a kid when his name is brought up in conversation. disrespectful and jon jones imo are two words that shouldn't be in the same sentence.

    • @lamasu
      @lamasu 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      chris schlosser
      thats a good point, thanks for not backing up your argument with an insult like everyone else who watches mma does. i just feel like if someone younger than me were to call me a kid, all dismissive like he did right there, i would have been annoyed. you really shouldn't talk like that about people in your personal life, they very well may take that as disrespect. anyway its not really what he called him its how he called him, and guss really did give him a run for his money in their fight. anyone who says otherwise didn't see that fight or they just don't know. i realize he probably said it to get under Guss' skin, but that the kind of shit that comes back.
