- FBI official Peter Strzok gives testimony to a hearing of both the House Judiciary and House Oversight committees. Strzok is publicly defending his actions during investigations of both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
Strzok's anti-Trump text messages fueled suspicions of partisan bias over the course of the 2016 election and Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Morning Testimony had been slowed by bitter partisan arguments among the members on the panels. Trey Gowdy's exchange with Strzok took up the majority of time at the very start of Thursday's hearing. At one point, after just one member had questioned Strzok, the panel voted on whether to subpoena former White House strategist Steve Bannon.

I spent a number of years in the military in Special Forces and later with SOCOM (Special Operations Command) now known as (JSOC) Joint Special Operations Command. I had a work phone which was subject to be ordered swept by my superiors at any time, and I know for a fact having worked closely with both the CIA & FBI during my time in active service that federal employ phones in those two branches are also subject to the same level of security and/or being swept in the event something just like this or worse takes place. It may be your, as you say, "job or business phone", but those phones are provided with tax payer money, and federal employs in those branches of the government are also accountable to the American public.
