Funny story that "Fepsi" reminded me of. My mom Robin had this ongoing joke that when she did something naughty or that made someone mad she would say "that wasn't me. That was my doppelganger Fobin" she did that to all if us like me and she'd say "was that you or Felby saying that" she passed last year and I haven't thought of that joke since then. Thanks for the reminder
I went on a canoeing trip about 25 years ago and got stuck with my friends cousin from Maine, who nobody had ever met. We obviously didn't have much to talk about. So instead, he taught me a song to learn the 16 counties in Maine. I can still sing it to this day. I lived in the South and still have never been to Maine.
11:13 Rhett leans back and puts his hands behind his head and all I can see is an EPIC 80's mullet that if seen in the wild I would take a picture of...
Hearing them talk about my hometown at the top of the episode and about how we had to memorize the 100 NC counties on that blank map in 4th grade just touches a special place in my heart.
Don't know if anyone remembers the Apollo 1 mission that exploded in 1967. one of the astronauts gus Grissom on that flight lived in Lexington Park maryland and I live in his house today ❤
There's a great novel for upper elementary kids about that exact experience of watching the Challenger explosion at school just like you did: We Dream of Space, by Erin Entrada Kelly. I recommend it highly.
I too was in elementary school and they wheeled in the cart with the tv to watch the Challenger. I think the class was more in shock not truly understanding everything but my teacher was devastated for weeks it feels like. So strange Rhett and Link were also watching in class.
It’s super helpful to know counties when you’re under 21 and want to use a fake ID. It’s a good question people who ID ask because people usually know their county but not others and fake id’s usually aren’t for peoples own towns. 5:49
Hearing them talk about the OBX as i sit in a building with a direct view of the Wright Brothers Memorial where they flew the planes gave me the biggest heart attack.
im really starting to enjoy good mythical mores more then i used to. idk if thats because my pallet is maturing or what LOL. this whole thing was funny i kept having to rewatch parts to make sure i was actually hearing things right lol
If the Pepsi thing was for a space shuttle Challenger mission in 1985 then it wasn't the one that exploded. The one that had the tragedy was in 1986. It had 3 missions in 1985.
God, it was devastating. Such a shock, especially after the build up with all the Crista (sorry sp) McCauliffe stuff, and so much more. And somehow just the knowing everyone was watching, all of us at the same time.
yeah i feel the challenger stuff. i was watching it live on tv in school, too. was supposed to be the first teacher (non-professional astronaut) in space. messed me up. still does a bit.
As someone who lived and worked in downtown New Bern, this entire episode is fascinating. I think I forgot somethings about the Pepsi store, because I don't remember a tour.
For NC, maybe Carowinds would be the single "one thing"...even though I think that breaks the rules lol...maybe Biltmore, but also it's a whole campus of just stuff to do aside from just the house. Kitty Hawk is likely the place where it's just one thing to see
my grandparents own a store in New Bern called ‘Nautical Wheelers’. the town has bear statues dressed as various things. my grandparents store is getting their very own ‘Nautical’ bear statue !!
It looks like Biltmore and Carowinds are the most popular attractions. I also don't count the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, but mostly because it's not unique to NC.
The 7UP video game I played was on the NES and it was several mini-games, not a specific in-line platformer or adventure... But no telling if I'm blending games. My cousins rented it from Blockbuster so we only got to play it very briefly. I spent my VG rentals on the Domino's NOID platformer.
I remember getting this straight up cola syrup for tummy aches when I was a kid, it was a prescription so who knows what else . (That was the 80's for context)
“We’ve reached a new low on Good Mythical More” I don’t know why that made me laugh so hard, especially the second time 😂
And then the very next day gets pooped on in the GMMore.
Their faces when the Challenger was mentioned were priceless.
I keep replaying that part lmaooo
the whole thing was MUCH more funny then it really ever should be lol.....

that´s so sweet 💖💖💖
That’s adorable! I’m sorry for your loss ❤
Thats so cute 💛 I'm sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss. If it's any consolation, Robin/Fobin would live in my memory now
So sorry, that’s actually hilarious though. Hope you have many good memories!
Link not remembering how he knew about Brad's Drink...
Y'all learned it on the show a few years ago! 😂
First the challenger… then the Philippines… yikes 😳 The Pepsi trivia went dark this morning.

Ombuska nation rise 🙏
Rhett was robbed
I don’t know why, as someone who moved here last summer, I get so irrationally excited when they talk in depth about North Carolina.
As someone who grew up and still lives there, I agree. NC doesn't get enough love.
It's surreal to me, having lived here all my life, it's hard to imagine these guys came from relatively humble NC
Breaking news: Pepsi blew up the Challenger shuttle
Was it because of the fizz?
This should be a quarterly report
Big Bird/Frank Oz was supposed to be in that mission.
The 80s suddenly makes sense
Big Pep has hid the truth for years!
11:13 Rhett leans back and puts his hands behind his head and all I can see is an EPIC 80's mullet that if seen in the wild I would take a picture of...
I clocked that!
Yesssss, was hoping I didn’t have to say it. Rhett you know what to do!
was just about to comment the same thing!
Hearing them talk about my hometown at the top of the episode and about how we had to memorize the 100 NC counties on that blank map in 4th grade just touches a special place in my heart.
Might be the most tragic GMMore but it made me laugh the hardest.
Me too! And I’m from the NASA area!
Don't know if anyone remembers the Apollo 1 mission that exploded in 1967. one of the astronauts gus Grissom on that flight lived in Lexington Park maryland and I live in his house today ❤
Pretty cool 😍
As someone from Texas, I’m so glad no one made me memorize all the counties here. That would be crazy.
I grew up in georgia. We have the most counties in the country
@@OffTheRailsPodcast Texas has 254 counties. How many does Georgia have?
They made us in SC too
@@Soullesscow76I looked it up it’s 159. TX has the most in the country!
@@OffTheRailsPodcast lol yeah sorry no, Texas has way more.
Link is probably remembering the Brad’s Drink fact the same way I did - a previous GMM episode lol the Exploding Soda Challenge.

I was watching as well on the cart tv in 1st grade.
Our whole school was standing outside watching it. Ocala Florida.
Representing Union County!!! Monroe, NC! 🤘🏼😄 Wesley chapel is only about 10 minutes from me, sweet little town.
Yo same!! Hello Mythical beast!
@@Thtswhtuget hello!! 😄😄
"pepsis" is gold 🤣🤣
They really missed the perfect opportunity to put “cap” and “no cap” on their ping-pong paddles 😞
Oh the irony of Link getting upset when people can't multitask. He seems to get more and more grumpy each episode.
Pepsi had a video game exclusive to Japan called Pepsi Man
All I could think of when they mentioned Jason Biggs was, "Oh! The pie pounder!"
I have been a avid pepsi drinker for over 40 years. Nothing beats the original.
I knew the answer to the one at 10:51, and the subsequent reaction was everything I anticipated. 🙃
The decorum dissipates episode by episode.
And it keeps me coming back.
“Fepsi” made this whole “More” worthwhile. 😂 (or in Thai 555 (ha ha ha))

10:21 "These lies are too rooted in truth..."
"Fun" fact: Nasa almost put Big Bird on that Challenger mission.
@13:56 it was a COLAb 😂

I remember you day the challenger blew up was the day I stayed home from school. Only had regular tv and you saw it explode repeatedly
God, it was devastating. Such a shock, especially after the build up with all the Crista (sorry sp) McCauliffe stuff, and so much more. And somehow just the knowing everyone was watching, all of us at the same time.
🚀💥"Lunch is early" 💀
The earliest I've ever been, haven't even seen the gmm episode yet
Big time early. Your momma would be proud
Same 😏
Haha, as a fellow Brad I read years ago that Pepsi was originally called Brads drink, so I always say my favorite drink was Pepsi because of that 😜
"Fepsi" and "pepsis" have me dyingg 😂
The 7up game they talked about is called Cool Spot. One of my all time favorite games!
I had it for the Sega Genesis!
I love these guys so much
Dark humor switch up was dope. Really good stuff!
Hi from Cherokee County, North Carolina!
Thank you Rhett 😂 I'm a Chatham boy, you praising Chatham was a rare treat
Good mythical morning!!
yeah i feel the challenger stuff. i was watching it live on tv in school, too. was supposed to be the first teacher (non-professional astronaut) in space. messed me up. still does a bit.
So glad TurboGrafx 16 got mentioned
Man , those were the days
now everything is sh*t 😔
First time I've heard someone besides me mention it in 35 years. Wow, Link.
11:38 when Rhett makes jokes like this it makes me honk like a 🪿
I have the same reaction as Rhett when Link says he knows something. I think most of us do.
You know, the Challenger did other missions… It didn’t explode on its first launch
Also, the Pepsi space can was a successful mission. It wasn’t on board for the tragedy
I think this might be a my favorite gmmore of all time. I just love there humor in this
4:35 Link needs to def sort his Rhett issues with a therapist lol
yess Cool Spot (7up videogame) was awesome!! didn't expect you two to know that one!
The speedway in Charlotte or the PNC arena would be my guess for the most visited thing in North Carolina.
Outer banks is one of my favorite places on earth and I don't even like the beach!
As someone who lived and worked in downtown New Bern, this entire episode is fascinating. I think I forgot somethings about the Pepsi store, because I don't remember a tour.
The shuttle explosion was really traumatic
Especially the cans
Oh wow. In Calif we only had to know the 10 (OR 9) Bay Area Counties. And I think the missions.
2:05
I know the 2 most seen things FROM North Carolina! 😂
The great pepsis ecademic 😂
Challenger jokes. The saying is true, humor is tragedy plus time
I would think the most visited roadside attraction in North Carolina would be Gravediggers place.
Charlotte Motor Speedway 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂😂🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 gotta be NC #1 attraction❤❤❤❤
I love when Rhett and Link give fake history.
Good morning East Coast
If you're a spaceman, you could use the shaken Pepsi as a Jetpack.
For NC, maybe Carowinds would be the single "one thing"...even though I think that breaks the rules lol...maybe Biltmore, but also it's a whole campus of just stuff to do aside from just the house.
Kitty Hawk is likely the place where it's just one thing to see
We memorized all 87 counties in Minnesota in the 6th grade. It's been 18 years and I still remember most of them.
MN resident here! thats impressive. lol
My Paw Paw Charlie Pierce was born in Kitty Hawk ,my Ancestor Captain William Pierce Lived on Mulberry Island.
if rhett and link watched drew gooden they’d know about the cherry pepsi game
Rhett: You been to Kittyhawk?
My brain: dude... you both have! Y'all were the Wright brothers on ERB!
my grandparents own a store in New Bern called ‘Nautical Wheelers’. the town has bear statues dressed as various things. my grandparents store is getting their very own ‘Nautical’ bear statue !!
Funny, thanks, thumbs up.
As an Ombuskinian, the Challenger news shook me.
It looks like Biltmore and Carowinds are the most popular attractions.
I also don't count the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, but mostly because it's not unique to NC.
This fact was on another episode and they talked about that.
@@djgulia3656 Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that they asked what it was in _this_ episode.
Onslow County here!
Actually drinking a Pepsi Max lime flavour rn
its the best
They have lime flavor?! 😮
Omg is that new?
It's been available in the UK for a few years now, along with raspberry and mango flavours
Pepsi had a game too called Pepsi man
I love that Smoky Mountains only get mentioned on the saddest episode of More...
good morning

Fact: the mission with the cans was in July and August of 85. The Challenger that exploded was in January of 86. Pepsi didn't blow up in space.
@4:35 I knew he was going to say that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know Link soooo well!

Cool Spot was never on the Turbo-Grafx 16. It was on Genesis, Super Nintendo, PC, Game Gear, Game Boy, etc.
Watching from Ohio! Used to live in Southern Pines and that's Moore county!
My parents used to give my cans of Pepsi at 3 years old lol
I’ve never been this early!! Good mythical evening ladies, gents and everyone in between 🫶🏼
Visited Kitty Hawk with Hurricane Isabel approaching, awesome views.
Jason Biggs Last Meals when?
There was not a single moment with that Philippines story where I could predict what would happen next
This is the first time in like a million episodes where they talked about OBX
I live near Wesley Chapel!
space shuttles were meant to fly multiple times. the Challenger actually flew nine times (including the instance with Pepsi) before the explosion
TurboGraphx 16! I loved that system.
ayyeeee im in mecklenburg county!!!! and my mom stays in union county!
