    Hi C.A. I'm watching this video at about 9:50 and in the background on the wall I see you have some old Flowering Floreo Jigs on the wall. My dad owned an office building across from the Casino in Gulfport back in the '50s thru the 70's that had multiple offices where he rented them out. One of the businesses in his building was a small company owned by an old gentleman by the name of Everett Williams who made the Flowering Floreo Jigs. At that point in time in the '50s, he made three different style jig heads of various weights for his jigs. One was a bullet shape, and another was a bullet with a flat portion on one side of the jig head. the last was a jig he called the Wicked Wild Willie that was a lima bean-shaped jig head. All had fine nylon skirts and stainless hooks. They were some of the best jigs ever created, in my opinion. Nice to see some of those old lures still around even if they are hanging on the wall. I still have maybe 100 of them unused but the used ones caught thousands of snook and other species in their time. Good content, C.A. Capt. Ray Markham

    Nice video Capt. CA. I see you mentioned weighted worm hooks aren't good for skipping, but I prefer them because it's weedless and I don't get hung up skipping under mangroves and docks.

    I forgot to note your skipping setups at the class on Saturday so this video is perfect timing, thanks! I’m excited to do some dock dedicated days in my area using the many tips provided 👍

    How do you skip a baitcaster without all the line birdnesting once the bait hits the water? I'm impressed lol

      @calebmorgan25 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just gotta mess around with your spool tension and magnets until your reel isn’t fighting you and practice casting low like that

      It really takes a thumb. One with lots of experience. But if you get a Shimano with DC technology or a Daiwa with SV technology, it becomes very easy.....

      Alex it’s not that hard just practice and pick the right lures and you’ll get the hang of it quickly

    Hey Capt. I watch a lot of your videos and fish almost every weekend on my kayak for reds and trout. I live in Tallahassee and fish out of the st. marks area, but it is too cold to catch snook (there are some but they are rare and small) and I would like to travel to catch some. Where would you say are the best snook fishing destinations in Florida?

    • @flatsclasscharters
      @flatsclasscharters 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Boy there are a lot of those destinations but hard to beat Sebastian, Stuart or Fort Pierce for some of the best
