I've really enjoyed this episode. Rob went through a lot of tips, i definitely learned something today. Rob answered questions that i had in my mind, that was super awesome. Thank you Korda Team! Marco Palmigiani 💯💚
im sorry but that fish you caught using the "flat rod technique" had a massive red line on the inside of its mouth on the left hand side. Most likely caused by tearing the fishes mouth from putting too much tension on the hook hold using the "Flat rod technique". I do not know why you are recommending this, this should only be used when fully snagged and you are pulling for a break
Personally would of put the rod on the rest and waited for the fish to free its self from the weed bed , this has always worked for me and almost every time after doing it I’d still land the fish
flat rod technique can’t believe I’ve just seen that. Come on dan I want to see you doing this when you are next in this situation your allowing this to go out under your name I would expect to see the flat rod technique to be in one of your what NOT to do videos.
I’m sorry but I think if he has been doing fishing for years and has seen any damage mouth then I think stop that technique ok you don’t know what you are saying.look at what the Korda podcast masterclass says then Danny will say you shmucks. If he saw damage mouth he will stop ok I mentioned it twice now he is excellent angler .
The “flat rod technique” is bad angling, and for a company like Korda to promote something like that is not good. People will be tearing hooks through carps faces doing this.
Michael Prince I do get what you’re saying mate, I think maybe me and you and other experienced anglers at a last resort might try as we know we’re not putting pressure on the fish. But I imagine kids just instantly doing this at any snagged fish.
Db &1 the “flat rod technique” is a very last resort thing to do and as an beginner or intermediate angler it could cause a hell of a lot of damage.. stick to what fairbrass says in the Germany masterclass video and you’ll be fine mate.
@@Kb11466 If you can, going out on a boat can be really effective at freeing a fish. Otherwise you should put the rod back on the rest and let the fish swim out of the weeds on its own. Patience is important however if nothing happens after a while you'll probably have to pull for break. But be ready in case if the fish is still on.
Back to basics 🤔 fish care is paramount 🤔 let's drag the fish with a flat rod through the weed 🤔🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡😡 let's not teach a new angler that it's better to lose a fish, then bring it to the bank with any means necessary 🤷🏻♂️ I love korda but I'm pi$$ed off with that 🤬😡 especially when there are better way to get the fish free from snags. This makes me want to buy other brands even if they are not as good, if the profits go to employing ppl who teach like this 😭😭
With total disrespect to you, who are you? korda coach or "mr little knowledge"? and did you even listen to how and what was being done here? Nope didnt think so
Flat rod technique???? Korda this is not good. I think we are all expecting some kind of response from Korda on it. Korda, what is your response to this???????
Besides the potential danger to fish using the 'flat rod' technique, if the hook suddenly pulls, the lead can come flying toward you at pace! VERY poor advocating this.

Great little tip for getting the fish out of the weed, would never of done that , but watching u doing it, really does make sense, thanks
Give that lake another 8-10 years and it will be an incredible place...wow

He needs som more lessons on how to play fish, just reeling while under tension is a really bad idea.

Db &1 do what Danny does in the other video they released. A fish will kick itself away from the weed 9 times out of 10.

Slack baitrunners/clutches + barb less hooks = a good lesson on how to lose fish. Seems like both anglers here need to go back to basics
