I’m not sure if she is just seeking attention or plain ignorance of Philippines current events or both. If she just put her self up to speed, she should know that, currently, there are no human rights abuses, even perceived, under any government programs. The government is going away from the practice of previous administration. The word “STOP” alone, should tell that there’s an ongoing, perceived abuses. You can even detailed an example, ICC issue is a legal question but not a case of abuse per se.
During the time of FPRRD EJK, many laws were violated, But if the senator said that, I think we need a specific reason for PBBM's abuse of human rights.
Sen, Janet Rice, there are still issues of human right in your country about Indigenous Australian , Aboriginal death that haven't resolve yet. And you are mongering about human right in the Philippines? Can you answer 1st what is happening in your backyard before going to another countries backyard. These are the Communist Party of the Philippines whose truly until now creating chaos in different part of Philippine provinces. Sad to say, these are young student the communist recruit also involve in this activities. Now, where is the human right there???
She is barking at the wrong tree. Human rights abuses during the past administrations, specially during Duterte's term, as well as other presidents including his father, shouldn't be blamed on him, he just started as president 2 yrs ago, and we haven't heard any human rights complaints against him or his administration so far. In fact, the real opposition (yellows/pinks) commends him for bringing back real democracy in the philippines after the semi-authoritarian rule of Duterte, as well as respect for human rights that his administration is espousing now, no more EJK, and other killings that have been a 'normal' occurence during Duterte's time. The Filipino community in Australia (not living in the Philippines) reached out to her about human rights abuses, that's a sarcastically strong evidence she has in there. 😂😂😂
I think you were misinformed madam senator. Even the liberals in the Philippines supports and respect the fairness of the current administration by upholding the rule of law.
😳😳😳😳
Dumbness exist to this senator ...
Protesting to WRONG ADM ...

Shameless ...
Oh please. I don't support the Marcos/Duterte human rights abuses, many Filipinos don't.
Although with that said, Marcos Jr. is not his father nor is he Duterte, he's not as bad as either of them.
Siguro ikaw yung misinformed dahil sa pagkafanatic mo.
😅😅😅
Good Job Ma'am Senator Janet Rice ❤ from Philippines.
This is what happens when activists are in parliament rather than representatives of the Australian people.
but havent you notice that her activism will benifit the people from around the world and not only her people that she represent? you just have a very low understanding of things.

Where was she when Australian human rights were violated by premiers, police, doctors and the government during Covid????
My thoughts exactly, their silence during those horrible times here in Australia were deafening.
That got me curious too.
I don't know about her as greens Senator, now she's popular, through PBBM
She is misled and been shameful to see our senators behaviour. you just humiliated the Filipinos of what you did.
Omg!! Get your facts straight lady. Where did you get your information ?!?!?! 😂😂😂 how much did they pay you????
Di nmn yan sila tulad dito sa Pinas maraming bayarang trolls at isa ka cguro doon
her source is the communist party of the Philippines
Because of our president Marcos all human rights violators are now in hot seat. And those innocent have been vindicated like Senator De Lima. Thanks to our President PBBM .
Visit here in the philippines and feel the kindness and hospitality of the pilipino peolpe. We will respect you what ever youve done to president marcos
That's dumb for that Australian senator to do that. It only shows that she did not do her research well. In that case, she did not think to find out which administration has a bad record on human rights. An individual who doesn't know who to do her research to find out the truth before flashing a placard has no business being a lawmaker. You senator are blaming the wrong Philippine administration.
She did her research well. Maybe you are just listening to thousands paid trolls of the Marcoses

I agree with dat.
Try to respect the Philippine President. This Senator should be removed because she’s a liar. Marcos has been following the rules!

Just some food for thought, the greens seem to be extremely angry at more 'west aligned' countries both politically and culturally like Philippines, Israel, India etc but have almost no problem with other countries like Iran, Pakistan, Yemen and even Hamas or the Taliban. One might only wonder whether their concerns are genuine human rights concerns or they serve a different purpose.
Oh yeah that sen green is aligned with Iran, north Korea, China, Yemen, Israel, Russia…bottom line she belittle Filipinos because we are Filipinos… she feels she is better than us !!

If you say that you support the Filipinos community, then you should also respect their leader who represent the Philippines. He was invited to your country to facilitate better diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
But your protest is understandable because you are an activist and leftist and that, all you do is to protest , you talk the talk and never to walk the walk. You must know that the Philippines is a sovereign country with its own Judiciary, so people like you and some from other countries should leave the Philippines alone to solve its own domestic problems. You may want to help, but lady, it's really none of your business.
We can always say to Green Senator and those who she listen to, to Kiss Our Pilipinos A$$3$!

what a woke politician
human rights warriors already existed even during the time of lincoln. and that wass before the dawn of wokeness. so, i dont think of her as the one fighting for human rights abuses a woke.
They just campaign with stunts and SKY gives them all the oxygen they need?
I’m not sure if she is just seeking attention or plain ignorance of Philippines current events or both. If she just put her self up to speed, she should know that, currently, there are no human rights abuses, even perceived, under any government programs. The government is going away from the practice of previous administration. The word “STOP” alone, should tell that there’s an ongoing, perceived abuses. You can even detailed an example, ICC issue is a legal question but not a case of abuse per se.
You care about human rights? What about the human rights of the Aborigines, the original, indigenous people of Australia?
Put her jail for contempt of parliament !
She was absolutely misinformed😂 wake up senator activist.
During the time of FPRRD EJK, many laws were violated, But if the senator said that, I think we need a specific reason for PBBM's abuse of human rights.
Is she an ally of the CPP NPA NDF?
Sen, Janet Rice, there are still issues of human right in your country about Indigenous Australian , Aboriginal death that haven't resolve yet. And you are mongering about human right in the Philippines? Can you answer 1st what is happening in your backyard before going to another countries backyard. By the way, the provincial bombing you've been I guess supporting because of red tagging. These are the Communist Party of the Philippines whose truly until now creating chaos in different part of Philippine provinces. Sad to say, these are young student the communist recruit also involve in this activities. Now, where is the human right there???
correct..
So this senator should update his info about BBM, he is different and better in so many ways than Duterte and the other presidents that the philippines had, so far.
Be respectful as visitor to your beloved country.
Show some evidence, His Father is not a dictator. get your facts, woman.
