Boosie has that lane where he's not mainstream famous for his music, but he's certainly street famous selling out clubs and venues with ease while being independent meaning he doesn't have 10 people taking his money before he gets what's left. That's why he has that crazy estate that A-list rappers couldn't afford. That man just needs to stay out of trouble and live his life without worries.
Naaahhhh it’s some real youngins out here … can’t say all … a lot of there shit is more authentic than a lot of the old 90s and 00’s rappers .. I’m 38 , to me if they talking bout shit I can relate too , I fw it , most the time u can tell it’s authentic if u live the way they do , or have in my case .. but it’s definitely a lot of gifted rappers out here , but it’s too many too keep up with all of them … but we can’t just downplay them like they aint real…. Rap didn’t stop with pac and biggie … biggie said “ u look so good I’d suck on ya daddy’s dick” never saw a woman that look so good that it makes me want to suck dick
These "old" rappers had bars when they was young too, that's the real difference. Most young rappers today are not trying to be mc's, they just hustlers.
I'm 36 and I remember hearing boosie for the first when I was the 2nd grade. the kids was on the back of the bus playing his first song called "outlaws".
Plainly put: We as a ppl don’t have the PROPER respect for our ELDERS. No matter the arena 💯. It happens in ALL cultures but mainly in ours bcuz of the disconnect to our land of origin.
Right the same thing happens to other genres that started from a sort of rebellious youth. Look at punk bands, when they get old their fans only want to hear the classics the same way
Naw, it's cause grown ppl are busy working. It's kids that control he internet, so kids going to promote kid ish. Things are changing tho, grown ppl ain't working no more, spending hella time on internet
So proud everybody been having this discussion way more lately! Beeeeeeen tired of being told Im too old for hip hop by the time I was 28 years old back in 2008. I was like SHIIIDDDDDDD, dis shit fa life cuz yall trippin!!
Boosie started doing gangsta rap when he was like 14 had hits when he was in his late teens beat bout 9 bodies in his early 20s went to death row and came bacc home all b4 age 40 lol
I always felt the same as Boskoe on this. If you have talent you have talent. There is no age limit on talent. This just proves that people try to trick you out of your success. If you think about it most rappers that are running the game are older. Just to name a few Nas, Jay, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Conway the Machine, Kanye, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane the list goes on and on. If you have talent in music get your ass in the booth and do your thing. Blessings to all!!
He spoke 1000% facts and that’s why hip hop has turned into a high school popularity contest! Now if you’re not in your 20’s your unc and an old head 😂! We gotta get the rap game back to where it was so it can actually be fun again
Its because rap has "swag" into it, its a more "cool" genre thats why nobody says anything about other genre's because they're more laid back when it comes to the vibe of it, when you see a 50 year old dressing 20 and rapping about choppas still its kinda funny but at the same time i want rappers to rap as long as they want, alot of older rappers just don't grow with their music
🎯 Yep, it happens with punk bands too for similar reasons. They all started as a rebellious youth & nobody wants to hear a 60 year old punk singer talking about “I don’t wanna go to school, I just wanna go skate and fight the government” lol
Almighty RSO was his first crew that got started in the 80's. They were like Boston's N.W.A. and had that song "One In The Chamba" with M.O.P. and Cocoa Brovaz that was controversial. Made Men came afterward in the late 90's. During the Made Man era he was also part of Hangmen 3, a production crew. Not gonna lie, that Made Men cd was dope and his first 2 solo albums were cool too.
I have been asking the same effin question that BOSKOE touched on. Why is there a ceiling on Rap Music? Why when a rapper gets to a certain age they vocal chords gotta be cut off?? Make it Make Sense!!
BG is the prime example. Did 14 years and came home still rapping about the block, spinning and sending hit. Been rapping about the same shit four decades later. No evolving.
I remember when I was coming up being a young rapper was kinda corny. It was kind of like when you saw a younger rapper everyone would be like awe that's cute keep it up 😂 I also remember in highschool me and my homies would be like we not listening to no one that's younger than us lol. I don't know why we use to say that but that was kinda like a inside joke between us but I said that just to give a perspective on what things were like in 05-09. Now it's the opposite
That was some real shit, where did he come from...I say that all the time lol where does anyone come from u don't know who anybody is until they blow up 💯
Ok check this out, I’m born and raised BedStuy, Brooklyn and I remember when HipHop was birthed 👴🏾 and I’m a shonuff HipHop Head, but like Wu-Tang-HipHop is for the children. THE ONLY REASON that NAS stayed somewhat relevant is that he hooked up with a young Producer in HIT-BOY. Those other old rappers trying to release new music ain’t hittin-and I tried to give them a chance, but it ain’t cutting it son. To be clear, I don’t listen to a lot of the stuff from the young rappers either, but the singles that blow up like GUNNA etc I’m like-ok that’s legit. For whatever reason HipHop is just a young person’s game and I ain’t mad at that. ✌🏽
Hip Hop has an age limit because many popular artists were gangster rappers. Their audience matured. Fuck I look like going to a show with other 50 year olds who still active? You have nothing to lose, but I have a mortgage. As hard as it was to pull myself up, I ain’t about to lose it just to prove I ain’t no punk. Life offers too many experiences. Don’t get stuck on childish affairs.
This was a dope clip. When the F did Boscoe become insightful 😂😂 I’m not mad. Boy got low and came back Gandhi…nah I didn’t expect that I thought I knew it would interesting but ok 👍🏾
If the old knew what the young knew the old would move better amongst the old. If the young knew what the old knew the young would move better amongst the young.
Because rap is a rebellious and revolting type of music and as you get older these ideas should fade as you get older at least that’s the way it’s viewed in society.
Well you gotta understand that for the longest rap has been controlled by the labels, so if they weren't signing old rappers how were they going to get their stuff out? Nobody is trying to be slanging mixtapes at the corner store as a 50+ year old granddad
When I get 46 I’m jumpin’ off da poach and going by Lul “such n such”, haven’t figured out a name yet but I’m getting in that recording studio and gonna make some whiny auto tuned raps.

Old rappers has more bars than all these young rappers. They literally have no skill just nice beats with cat in a hat rhymes. Let’s be real
offbeat Cat In A Hat rhymes, at that 😂 and even if the beat is fire, it’s 10x quieter than their goofy vocals now lol
