If you are going for max efficiency which I assume you are, you will benefit a lot from going to th 9 early. It doesnt matter if u are "rushed" it will only be for like 5 days max. Rushing is the smart thing to do when done right.

I got to Masters as a TH8, the grind was way too much. I was like 100 trophies away from Champions league as a TH9 but I was only finding TH11/12 and TH10 offering me +2/-37 trophies so I stopped grinding

Little tip, when searching for attack, if you wait for the time to go down to 27s, there won’t be any clouds and will find a base straight away! Great time saver and just feels better :)

To be fair, you could go for all gems (gems or shovels) on the clan games and buy and sell clock and training potions and get to 2000 gems right now
