- A young boy and his friends attempt to capture a magnificent dragon, to bring good fortune to his family at the Lunar New Year!
Mr. Paul reads aloud “How to Catch a Dragon” by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton.
This short, humorous picture book is perfect either as a family bedtime story at home, or for story time at school. With vivid illustrations and a memorable battle of wits between the main character, his friends, and a dragon, this fun children’s story book is excellent for students in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and even third grade. It is an entertaining tale in any season, but fits especially well around Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, as it takes place at that time and includes many iconic elements from that celebration, such as fai chun, gold coins, red envelopes, and the dragon dance.
