Hi Casio, I saw on some questions here that the bluetooth adapter can not be used to transmit audio from the CTS1 (to the PC, or headphones, for example). But I still have one question: I managed to connect it in my PC for audio (quere the CTS1 receives audio from the PC). However, it does not connect to my PC for midi. Is it supposed to be like this, or would I be doing something wrong? Many thanks!

Hopefully you'll add the ability to transmit to a Bluetooth speaker to the next iteration.

Reaper doesn't recognize Bluetooth Midi without a driver to install, sadly. It simply won't see the keyboard, even though Bluetooth is paired and works fine. Which makes it impossible to play wireless in Reaper

Using bluetooth on my CTS-1 I was able to record myself playing using a recorder app but when playing it back just through my iPhone (not thru CTS-1) it picked up the clacking sounds of the keys and other noises.
I wonder how I can solve this, if at all?

There is a fair bit of latency with the bluetooth adapter. Watching video while streaming audio on my ipad, there is noticeable latency. It sounds fantastic, but the audio is a tad out of sync.

Casio Team, you guys have done a amaaazing job with this keyboard from the sounds, build quality, and size, feel, and price point. But PLEASE make this compatible with the remote controller feature!

Thank you Casio! Please, please bring out a 73 key version with more on board controls, built-in battery, L+R audio outputs and a pitch bend wheel. That would be incredible!

My WU-BT10 so eagerly uses itself and make the piano speakers as my MacBook's external speakers... which I don't really need so much (My MacBook speakers works too and they are good speakers). What I need most: how to make Garageband or Logic Pro take the MIDI input, I am wrecking my brains and I can't make it work... is there a way?
P.S. I bought a USB Micro-B to USB-C cable and I connected it and it just worked like magic... but it is only about 3 feet long and I need to get a 6 feet one and perhaps a 10 feet one plus a USB Type A to C adapter... so if the wireless adapter works, it'd be great...

I couldn't get any of my Android devices to pair after following the instructions presented here. I could get it to pair to my Win11 computer, but audio only -- no midi. In the end, I used USB and audio cables I already had to get midi and audio. The cables worked for both Android and Windows. I returned the WU-BT10.

Why doesn't my CTS-1000 have a freaking function button?

  • @geod1932

This is very deceptive. I bought the WU-BT10 to be able to use the CT-S1 Red to learn piano through apps like SimplyPiano and Yousician. Am I reading in the comments that is does not do that - it can not send the music to the app so that the app know I pushed the right key? My Galaxy S22 sees the WU-BT10 but can not connect to it - says bluetooth needs to me enabled. The apps do not see it either.
You say " Second, it functions as a Bluetooth MIDI adapter allowing you to connect and use the CT-S1 wirelessly with your favorite music applications." Is this a lie?
How do I get it so that my phone connects to the WU-BT10 and my piano learning apps are able to connect to MIDI so I can properly learn to play? I bought the CS-S1 and this WU-BT10 for this very reason and if it can not work then they are trash and I got ripped off. Please advise. Sorry - to find that this does not work after purchasing them (without the ablility to return) is distressing.
If anyone has a work around please let me know - would appreciate it.

Download the free Casio app called "Casio Music Space" and use the connection guide within the app to connect to your WU-BT10. This will verify everything is working properly. Note that this app contains music learning tools similar to the other apps you mentioned. It's entirely free.
WU-BT10 Bluetooth MIDI works with any Apple or Android app and device combination which supports Bluetooth MIDI. You'll need to verify the app you intend to use supports Bluetooth MIDI, and that the device running your app does as well. Some apps do not support Bluetooth MIDI. A quick internet search shows SimplyPiano does not support Bluetooth MIDI, mentioned on their website. If an app supports Bluetooth MIDI, the connection setup process is done within the app itself, not in the Bluetooth pairing menu on the phone or tablet itself. That is only for audio.

I contacted their support. It does work with the Casio app but not other more popular apps. They admitted that and allowed me to return it.
If you want to use the Casio app it will as you mention and the details are appreciated. However if you intend to use an app (maybe a new update changes this) outside of that at the time of the original post it did not. I stand by my original statement.
Perhaps other apps do so now. So you are right in your statement to make sure the app you intend to use works with it.

    • @rogeriosugui5791

Same with me... with my PC, I can only pair wu-bt10 for audio (where the CTS1 works as the PC speaker, but you can not send the audio from the CTS1 to the PC - which is another downside), but it just does not pair with the PC for Midi (where I'd like to use the CTS1 as a midi controller). Am I missing anything, Casio?

Hi. I have a doubt. When the Bluetooth dongle is used in “audio” mode, can the audio played from a smartphone, be heard on the wired headphones connected to the privia, instead of the on-board speakers ?

I have a question. I own a Bluetooth Tronsmart 40w speaker which has, I suspect, better sound than the onboard speakers of this keyboard. My question is, using the bluetooth adapter (and incidentally can it be any bluetooth usb adapter, or does it have to be the one specifide?) can I send the audio signal from the keyboard to my external bluetooth speaker? and if the answer is yes, is the sound of the keyboard then disabled, or can I have the sound going through the keyboard and external speaker at the same time? If you can answer this, it would be great in helping me decide if this is the keyboard for me. Many thanks

    • @casiomusicgear
      @casiomusicgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

No you can't sent audio OUT via Bluetooth. You'd have to connect it directly using the headphone output.

    • @kerripowles8737

@@casiomusicgear Not a problem, can do that as well, although that being said, I have jsut recieved my keyboard today and it's (pardon the language) bloody fantastic! The onboard speakers are incredible, I doubt that I would want to use the external speaker. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING ALL AFTERNOON, and I actually forgot to eat :) I am one of the fussiest people going when it comes to sound quality and quality of instrumental sounds.....this simply blew me away!! so anyone sitting on the fence (like I did, I have to confess) don't hesitate if looking for a great sounding keyboard, at a fantastic price. I have a Yamaha Genos as my main Workstation for composing at home, so as you can imagine my standards are high. Just wanted this to take out with me when I perform. Honestly I cannot wait to take this out with me! TH-cam does not do the sound justice. Bare in mind that to get the best sound from this you should have it on a stand, as there are speakers on the underside as well, so you don't want to mute those by putting it on a table if you can possible help it.
