Always time well spent and inspirational, ladies. Great projects, laughs and some tears. Do not rip back that cardigan, slip crochet stitches on the part you have finished to test it out. Wear that green bobbin hat with pride, adorable. So glad you have knits from your MIL, wrap up in the love she put into those stitches.

I love all the stuff you two make, but my favourites this week were the hats!! The Selbbob is so wacky Kirsty! And the Dustland looks great on you Tracy! And I'm glad you didn't pause during the laughing - it was so infectious!
Please don't apologise Kirsty for talking about your lovely mother-in-law, it was so touching to watch; and you have that gorgeous blanket to remember her by. 🥰

Aww, I'm really sorry to hear you lost your mom-inlaw and glad to see her knitting. Sending you all the hugs. And Tracy just keep going with the cardigan it's fine. You can always knit a little swatch with the same edging and try to undo that last stitch and use a crochet hook to pull it back up, I've done that and it worked for me.

    • @woolandwishes

I just discovered your podcast. You guys are so interesting to listen to and I appreciate the calmer tone of the podcast. Some other podcasters tend to feel the need to entertain and jabber on with hilarity , which is fine for others who enjoy that style, but I try to find podcasts that have a calming, quieter atmosphere about them. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing more of you.

You two are so inspirational! Kristy you should totally be writing patterns! I’m off to buy the two stitch dictionaries you’ve mentioned. I have the vogue stitch dictionary and love it if you haven’t seen it yet.

For your Whitmoor sweater, check out the Knit N Pieces Knit Chat 2nd anniversary podcast. Nicole did the exact same thing, but ended up doing a crochet chain up the front edge and it looks great.
    Good luck.

Thanks Paula, yes luckily Noelle saw our podcast and realised she had done the same thing so she messaged me and showed me how she fixed hers, I’m so pleased I don’t have to rip it out 🥰

@@woolandwishes that is so great. I'm a new subscriber from the Knit N Pieces podcast. I'll have to watch some of your older podcasts. You both have beautiful knits. Did you see the new Sophie Shawl, which I think you both would like more. I love all PetiteKnit patterns too. Good luck with your Whitmoor.

Re: the Whitmore. I don’t think anyone will notice it. A knitter may but will not comment! I thought the same as your mum. Stitch/crochet a chain at the edge. Thanks for the giggles. Xx

Re the Whitmore button band, I have successfully dropped down the edge stitch and fixed it over a shorter distance, so I think perhaps you could. You just have to get your head around what you have to do,either try on a swatch to get the hang of it , or try over 6 or 8 rows on the cardigan so if it doesn’t work you have only lost 6 or 8 rows work

Now, do I need to get a new granny square book or a that twisted stitch dictionary. I have some japanese lace pattern books, which use a lot of twisted stitches, but I like the ones that aren't lacy as well.

How about doing a little crochet edge on your lace sweater instead of ripping back?
