I believe that is similar to the attitude of the apostles when they faced persecutions. They counted it all joy to suffer for Christ’s sake. Why? Because it has been granted to us to suffer for Christ’s sake. (Philippians 1:29)

I don't understand how this kind of preaching should help us get closer to God. This man, all he does is make people feel like popo. As it is, we have problems with faith ! I don't believe anyone can accuse Adrian of being an "ear tickler," but like Adrian said, we don't/haven't/won't live a perfect life and we need to own up to that fact, we are all (I am anyway) weak and subject to temptation. Given that, he points out that God sent Jesus to be a gift of grace, belief and faith that Jesus is our savior its that saving grace. Based on what I have done in my life, I know that I am not worthy of entering the kingdom of heaven, and I'm guessing I'm not the only person not worthy, but I know Jesus died on the cross for all of my sins and heaven awaits. Don't feel bad about yourself, be happy, be very happy, that Jesus will make sure that your moment of judgement will be short and you'll hear welcome my child., versus be gone... There's more to this, but that's why there is more than one book in the Bible.
