    I've had the EFR376-RED for 2 years now and it works great, just manually defrost every 3 or 4 months. I found it sitting on the curb in my neighborhood next to a trash can in prefect shape. Go figure..

    • @GroovySauce
      @GroovySauce  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As far as color options, it doesn't look like any of the models mix and match colors. I researched this unit quite a bit when I reviewed it and didn't notice anything other than solid color options. The same thing can be said about the number of shelves. What you see is pretty much what you get. The parts also seem fairly hard to come by. I have found a few places that do sell, but what options you do have are a bit less than you would expect and third party. Still, I do love this little fridge. Its a good unit. I still use it to this day and have no complaints.

    I got this fridge, looked very cool and bonus has a bottle opener I was super excited to just have a built in bottle opener like that one wall in a dads garage but sadly I cannot fit a cap in the opener and it seems like it’s just for looks

    For some reason I can't find any replacement parts for this model number. I need to look on the product sticker for something else I guess. Trying to replace the cheap plastic handle that broke off. It's not totally necessary to open the fridge but it helps. I too found one of these on the side of the road at Michigan State and will be testing the compressor this afternoon after transporting it on its side yesterday for an hour or two. The previous owner also left the factory clear plastic protective skin in place which was a pain to remove from all the areas where it was tucked underneath.

    • @GroovySauce
      @GroovySauce  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just a heads up, I've had several people ask me about parts. Apparently its harder to find parts for this model.

    • @Schweigardt
      @Schweigardt ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure what happened to my last reply, but the mini fridges are serviced or supported by a separate division of Frigidaire called Curtis International. I have been going back-and-forth with their customer service attempting to identify the exact plastic doorhandle part I am missing. But I think they have located it as a $15 replacement part. I'll probably order two to have a back up. I will report back if they don't follow through with having their parts department call me to place the order...

    • @GroovySauce
      @GroovySauce  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Schweigardt Thanks for sharing. I will be sure to let people know if they ask!

    • @Schweigardt
      @Schweigardt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So Curtis international out of Ontario Canada did call me to place the order. I almost bought a set of two but they told me the handle comes with the base as long as you already have the original two screws. Took a couple weeks to arrive through the mail, and I immediately noticed the replacement handle would not fit the original base on the door. Luckily I figured that out before I beat too hard on the handle with a big rubber hammer. Replaced the original base with the new replacement base and noticed the new parts are slightly different when compared side-by-side. You do have to push the handle sideways to snap it into place pretty firmly, and it feels like it's going to break as it snaps into place. All in all a fairly good experience with Curtis International.

    Question: How sturdy is the top? Are we talking sheet metal or is the casing aluminum? I'm thinking of buying this but want to know how much weight can I place on top. I'm thinking of making this do double duty to be a printer stand for my laser printer in the office. The printer is 48 lbs and I have a slight worry if the fridge case is aluminum, the sheer weight of the printer max cause the shell/casing to buckle or worse dent to the point the door would lose its seal because the casing may get warped. My solution is put place a sheet of plywood on top to act as a distributor of weight. But if the whole thing is aluminum, even the plywood solution may cause it all to buckle. Any thoughts?

    • @GroovySauce
      @GroovySauce  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Mine is a very thick metal that feels like it would be very appropriate for what your describing. It would take a lot to put a dent in it, as the walls are very thick. I don't think you should worry at all.

    • @GroovySauce
      @GroovySauce  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine didn't come with ice trays. Don't get anything oversized. 11x8x3.5 inches is the size of the freezer. Not too big, but it does freeze. If you can handle the entire top shelf freezing, there is also the option of cranking it to like a 5 or 6 setting and it will start to freeze the shelf just below the freezer too. Probably not the most energy efficient solution, but its an option.

    • @GroovySauce

    • @GroovySauce

      Ice does form on the metal freezer drawer (bottom of the freezer area). If you let it build up, it will eventually have to be melted and that will indeed produce some water.

      I took a flathead screwdriver and scraped away at the little section at the base in the handle. Shaved a tiny bit off, and then on my next firm push it finally chunked into place.

You could try finding official Frigidaire parts, however in the past, people say its impossible to find this model specifically. Searching just turns up new entire models. This might be a case of the brand franchising the name out to a different manufacturer. You might have to custom make something because from my experience, finding them is not very easy.
