When you get more wood, you could probably start destroying those roofs that lead up to your base, and start attaching staircases from the top down to the ground.
I don't think the rock is as bad as you think. Think of it as a decorative piece for the entrance or something

If you turn the logs to planks on the island you chop them down on, you can carry four times as many back to your island.
Liam Adshead does he need a workbench though?
What i do is i take a crude axe, the materials to upgrade it to a refined axe and the materials to make a workbench. When the axes get low on durability i upgrade them to the next stage crude->refined->workbench. I find you should nearly always go through a refined axe worth of durability on an island so all your losing is the rest of the materials to make a bench and you only have to make a quarter of journeys to the island which saves a ton of time.
I love the effort you put into these vids, it's hard to find people who put legitimate effort into things like this.. congrats on 50k man
Congrats on 50k, dude. I remember when you only had 20k, yet you still have the same amount of work ethic. Maybe even more considering your videos are better and better each time I watch them. Again, congratulations Broadbent, you deserve it!

If you can't get the walls to work, perhaps you could add some palm fronds on the rocks as decoration. Maybe try placing walls further back to encase the rock, making it a part of the inside instead of just a large gap in the structure.
Wouldn't it be possible to add the stairs to the 3rd floor on top of the existing stairs, going in the same direction? You'd add a floor directly above the bottom of the first set of stairs, and place the next set of stairs like you did on the floor below:

You are one of the best TH-camrs in my opinion, very well edited videos, no boring parts and you're really good at the game which helps lol.
A verry cool base. I see a lot of letzplayers who always fail in basebuilding, so its a pleasure to watch yours! good job!
Build a table to sit above the rocks and stack your crates on it to create a wall in the stairwell.
Turn the second floor into your living area; wall it up, add sleeping bag(ie the bed) and shelving for display items, add hooks for lanterns and trophy placings and a small area to put a couple of creates to store medical items such as salves and creams. One of the new things put into Stranded Deep is the fact that you need fuel for powered engines now which require you to make fuel using potatoes. You will need to have four potatoes to make one full tank of gas and even then the gas will evaporate in the jerry cans as well, so you will need four to eight garden plots to grow potatoes.
But... Very good gameplay! Thank you! I couldn't find good player, who could show nice tricks in the game and show what you can do in Stranded. Thank you! :)
You could use crates (or other big items) to build a wall and make the cliff base look even more alternating ;)

One tip, I'd turn the logs into planks on the other island as you can transport much more that way. You can carry 9 trunks or 9x 4 (36) Wood sticks.... But 1 plank is 1 Trunk and you can carry 4 planks per spot = 9x4 = 36 trunks. Much much more. Although I don't like the plank buildings lol, so I have to brings sticks. But as you mentioned turning the logs into planks, you'd be better off doing on your resource island. 😉

What a base . I guess it will look amazing when you totally completed it . Also you can try to use godmode to put missing foundation and wall by approaching from the other sides I don't know if it works but at least you can try

Love your videos man i learn alot from watching cause i honestly didnt know what i was doin at first.. Im still acclimating myself to this beautiful beautiful game so glad ive invested time. I just built up a sustaining home base i dont have the resources to just waste but im working on basket ball court for my home base usin byous as balls and experimenting rn with a make shift bowling alley as well i just need to find right items for collision to feel like it works?? If that makes sense ive even been playing with the idea of a shark bowl scenario games mechanic are fun i hope i keep seeing more come to this game they just need a gyro entrance only Private cove where u fight king snake lol
Possibly build the floor out and around further, allowing you to build a wall a bit further also? to fill the gap.

What about instead of closing that rock bit out of the house you close it in? Place another floor behind that space and put a wall up behind the rocks, that way the space is closed up. You'll just have a nice rocky wall inside the house, but it will at least be closed.

If you can’t build into it,build around it, make the rock apart of the room
You can extend the floor in the bottom with sticks or something useless from the outside and then build a wall from the outside so the inside will look all patched up

artisticly the floor through the rocks look really good,like if it were made in reality someone would have had to painstakingly nailed the boards around the stone,but if they fix the game so you can do exactly this without having to glitch them into place they may have to deconstruct how its done so that its eventually perfected...either way looks great.

i don't know, I kind of like the open rock area. It makes the base feel like part of the mountain. I think you should leave it as is and just embrace it. You'll be able to close off the 2nd floor completely anyway.
