So, I'm watching this kind of content for quite a while and I feel obliged to point out: this I'd prefer about any other sport one might watch .

The community patch (1.12.6) is bug fixes, maps changes, and some graphical changes designed to make competitive play better without effecting balance. A community balance patch (1.13) is someone making changes to units to try and make the factions more equal.

It saddens me that the majority of the people think that their old games are better than this amazing game... Red Alert 3 is the only strategy game I know that plays so dynamically, almost like a chess game. There is no comparison between this game and the rest of the RA games, this game is miles away from pretty much every other strategy game out there, not just RA games.

RA3 is amazing as a competitive game. Unfortunately it isn't as enjoyable to casual players, precisely because of how much it is dedicated to E-Sports. Gotta love RA3 tho!
Dude, StarCraft 2, fun to play for noobs and casual players and still offer very competitive gameplay for pro. And it's much older than RA3. And RA3 is not amazing as it has exploitable mechanic that seriously affects the game balance, namely Allied. If you don't buy what I said find me a game with Allied without Allied dominance.

i feel like Lictor wasted a great opportunity by not placing a few javelin soldiers in the buildings in the middle island. would have hurt Nevercheeses air mobility alot.

Yes one of the unfortunate side effects of the interpolation. There are a few small problems I haven't figured out a good solution to yet.

Can I just hop online through the Steam version of RA3, or is there any other setup or patching needed? Is there some sort of discord community or somewhere to get started? I wanna try RA3 again because i liked its MP but I'm worried I'll just get my ass beat by the guys who have been playing this game for the past 10 years

cnc-online.net/en/ is the community run multiplayer server. You'll need to download the app and connect it in with your game. There's a guide under the "Setup" tab on the website.

The first game I ever bought as a kid was Tiberian Sun, so they have a special place in my heart.
I really hope CnC game's come back, not just as a remake.
Does any of these players know you can repair bridges or did they not see a good enough advantage from it. It would have been crazy if they had rushed Lictor that way.
I'm sure they all know you can do that, but most of the time they don't want to bother. Gotta spend money making an engineer when you could spend that money on something else. Then if you repair the bridge and the other player sees they can blow it up while your units are on it.

@@OneSybert No I like it too. Also the music plays really close toward the end where the game's outcome is already determined, so the "spoiler" element to it doesn't matter that much.

Is this the standard Red Alert 3 and not Uprising? And if so, is there something I don't know about Uprising that makes it bad for competitive gameplay/casting?
uprising doesn't support multiplayer.

Im too bad at the game to see it. But do the players on 2v2 actually cooperate on a deeper level? Or they just both play their own game. (What I mean is, is there something like good faction/unit combos?)
Yes and no. Some people play basically the same as they do in a 1v1 but the best play together. Often you see this with defenses: one player may be going for something really aggressive and an A or S will drop a turret in their base or if an A player is base pushing both players can make use of the big build radius. I'm pretty sure you can stick S and E infantry in IFVs.

14:10 Pika was the player with most resources but Lictor and Dimon together had like 180% of that. If anything, Pika should have been way higher in that graph to be able to present any threat to Dimon and Lictor.

Oh you don't wanna join them. I played with Dimon against Lictor & Bashley and totally lost. Especially given that Dimon was sitting on two refs wrecking others with a bunch of stingrays, and I was just straight up unhelpful... Playing with them hurts ur self-esteem ;)

I feel nevercheese relies too much on allies base push, which mainly depends on the superiority of multi gunner turret. Dimon showed much better understanding of tactic and execution of different units.

Wow I really hate Andrey for his turret push, but he does have skills. Good game for all players here. Still wishes to see Soviet Dimon teamed up with Lictor

This weekend there were 150+ people online. Right now there are 159 people playing online, but about half of those are co-op campaign missions.
These 4 guys and us who are watching.
