- We try to beat CHIMPS with only Dart Monkeys. Then only Boomerangs, etc. We do this with every monkey to see what ones can beat CHIMPS all on their own. And those that can't we see how far they can get before losing.

We just started on whatever round we'd be able to afford them on. That way there's no extra cash in the game.
If you want to do it in a more legitimate way then you could do it in co-op for that bit of extra starting cash. Wouldn't work for Super Monkeys unfortunately.
Add starting cash but increase the starting round
Example, super monkeys could start on round 11
This would mean that you wouldn’t get the cash from the first couple of rounds, basically paying for the tower
I would increase the starting cash and round. It would take until the middle of round 15 to get $2,700 dollars (assuming you popped everything without placing towers😂) so start the super monkey on round 15 with $2,700 as an example.
You could add extra cash, and make sure u stay above that amount (if u add 200 keep 200 at all times) or add cash and start round
Make an only heroS run (posably chimps)
Absolutely wild how the dart monkey is unironically one of the best towers in the game, can’t beat the original I guess lol

Very cool, just a few things of note, towers that get stopped cuz of camo bloons can progress slightly further on scrapyard
and the cool thing I learned a while ago was the the fireball CAN pop purple bloons BUT ONLY with the explosion, not the projectile

It's gonna be impossible since the fireball fires too slowly to hit all of them, even if you take advantage of loops. Maybe it's possible with TAS-like gameplay?

The problem with sniper only is that only 100 and 040 give lead pops, and you need middle path to pop camo. So bottom path snipers can’t pop DDTs on their own. Maybe they can still beat chimps with 420 or 042 spam!
the problem with 420 spam is that it’s obviously much worse then a 402 for everything but ddts meaning you would probably not be able to even get to 95 and 042 your wasting money on its supply crate and it probably couldn’t handle moabs well

@@m4rcyonstation93it’s only the elite sniper that gives the attack speed buff and if I remember correctly the only thing the sniper gets upgrading to the supply drop is a slight pierce upgrade (and the ability but that’s irrelevant in chimps)
Fireball counts as an explosion! You can use it to pop the purples with the wizard Monkey in a part 2!

One, necromancer can pop any Bloon type, and two, fireball attack gets voided against purples so explosion doesn’t go off
@@matsuda_blossom2704 necro needs to kill a balloon to reanimate so it can't send a zombie balloon as the first purple balloon comes alone
You could've "balanced" the more expensive towers by just setting a higher starting round and calculate the money from the rounds you missed into them ^^

I'd be curious to see the more expensive towers, but definitely need a separate list so as not to confuse.
It'd be cool to give the tacks/wizards/bombers etc. the ability to get a 130 village as well to let the actual power/price of the tower be the deciding factor rather than access to a niche.
Small question, wouldn’t it be better to spread the beast handlers around the map so the fused bird would have a lot of map coverage? I don’t know a lot about them so I’m confused by your strategy
nah, sadly the bird only has the range of the bird handling it, the birds that get fused into it don't give enhanced range sadly

That would generally be best, but middle and bottom beast handler are so good it doesn't really matter on easier maps.
The 024 snipers don't do anything ro the ddts. Why didn't you use other types of sniper?

I too love caltrop shinobis, especially now that the range increase moved from top to bottom path making getting the 20stacks much easier.
I'd also be interested to see if you just gave camo detection to the ones that can't, whether they could do it.
For a part 2, you could see how much starting money you need to get to round 100 for all the ones that failed

Most would die on round 101 honestly. And if not 101 then 103. DDTs spawn like crazy after round 100 and the RBE on 103 alone is typically enough to pierce cap the towers.
You can definitely do wizards. You dont need a necro for the first purples. The 020 explosion, not the fire attack itself, can pop purples
This is true, I believe the only single tower type 2TC was done with wizards, so it is confirmed doable.

@@vcopy9589 The fireball explosion damages purple, not the projectile itself, but if it just hits the purple it will not. It is a very difficult thing to pull off, not something you can easily do after a couple of attempts. You need to perfectly time it so when a non purple is near a purple, the fireball will explode that bloon and damage the purple.

why for the boomerang monkey, you do it on ravine and use the sword to pop the camo on round 24 so that means you would die on round 33 (correct me if I’m wrong)
or the crusher in scapyard which would probably get off cooldown to get a bit of round 33 but probably wouldn’t get all of the bloons

You could probably get past the camos/leads/purples/etc. with the Scrapyard crusher. Also, why are you getting 042 Snipers on CHIMPS? I can understand the Elite Sniper for the buff, but you could've just gotten an army of 230 Snipers that would be WAY more effective on DDTs.
In BTD5, you can force turrets to spawn on the track or water. I don't know if it helps, but it sometimes does, even when there's space for them not in water or on the track.
I love how this experiment shows us that many Monkeys are viable in doing CHIMPS mode, compared to few years ago. Hopefully this educate newplayers on common concerns in CHIMPS.

I actually remember attempting to beat logs chimps with only subs, they have a small enough hit box that you can place 5, I used all tier 5 + 2 0-2-4 subs and beat the challenge, though that was a long time ago so idk if it still works

The funny thing is that every tower is affordable in chimps as a starting tower in a real game except the Super Monkey, you just have to use co-op and have everyone give there money to the same player and you will have more than 650 with 4 players giving you the most with every tower except the farm and village being affordable with 2 players with the farm and village requiring 3 players to be able to start with them. This even means that (for a real game) there are some 2TC combos only possible in co-op, as well as making some 1 player 2TC that are barely not possible because of money possible if you give ALL OF THE MONEY to the player who needs it. Thow even with 4 players you still can’t start with a Super Monkey

more srapnel shot damage, lead popping power, and for elite is sniper buff more damage,pierce,moab damage, more srapnel damage and elite targeting

Wizard only and sniper only are both doable this update. And a bunch of these towers can at least make it a little further on scrapyard.
I was able to do sniper only chimps. The trick was spamming 230 snipers and 204 snipers with a single 420 sniper. I skipped out on the cripple moab since it is still laughably bad in chimps even after the buffs.
Ive been playing BTDB2 with only water based towers (except pirates...) and spikefactory as a tribute to Admiral Brickell, and I discovered a lot of cool things about buccaneer
first of all: 5-0-2 isnt that bad if the track is long and it planes can pop DDTs without MIB or other resources, second: trade empire+favored trades+carrier flaghship can handle DDTs quite good even without my other usuall dmg resources
unfortunately the fire power of water based strat require space & positinating, 5xfavored trades+trade empire+carrier flaghship cannot handle 95 in that map thanks to the space.
Yeah ik he beat chimps with buccaneer but I exclude mid path bucc because hes a pirate unlike Brickell.
the explosion from the wizard fireball can pop purples, meaning that wizard only chimps has in fact been completed! it’s very rng heavy but it has been done!

You should make a second run where you have a camo village from the get go (only for the towers that failed due to camo Bloons) and a third run where you get enough money to start with the more expensive towers. It would give it more variety and would be very entertaining😃👍
The tower gives them +10% range though so it would be slightly unfair

With Sniper, 95 absolutely is the hardest round, but with a Cripple and a Maim (with camo prioritization, different targeting priorities to stun different DDTs), you can actually win the round. After that, 98's fairly tough but you can get another main/more bouncing bullets (don't bother with Supply Drop, it's a waste of money; bottom path sniper is also helpless against DDTs, so after Elite Defender I wouldn't bother with those either) to clear out the rest of the game.

I wish so much they would've made a Bloons shooter like Garden Warfare or even a TF2 clone.
Would've been super awesome to have two systems. You start at level 1 and you can either buy your upgrades "upgrades that are equipment" or by experience "upgrades that are inherent like magic or physical".
A level system like in DoTa that leveling isn't individual but for every game.
Wizard only IS possible in case you didnt know. Not only that, but a wizard only 2TC is ALSO possible (i believe its the only same tower 2tc, and if not then it was the first)
Dude, with boosted pea pod by the zen garden, EVERY SINGLE TIME you stack a pea pod, it activates the plant food. I liked pea pod BEFORE I knew this, now, easily one of my favorite plants.

i once beat logs 3tc with submarine, a 5-2-0, 0-5-2 and 0-2-5, you dont need the range for bottom/middle path because its logs and the only water is in the middle anyway

Sad that Druid couldn't get past the camo, though. Recently started fresh on a new install and didn't feel like linking my main account, and while trying to brute force an impoppable attempt before i had most upgrades unlocked, i was very pleasantly surprised by how well the druid was able to dispatch bloons. You can't have a regrow farm if you can just oneshot the higher tier bloons lmfao

I know it would kinda defeat the purpose of the challenge but it would be interesting to see how far the non camo towers would go if they did have camo detection (unless there's already a video for that)
I think it is cool that only 1 tower lost because it couldn't beat a round by lack of power and not because it didn't have camo/purple/whatever detection. I don't think the other towers would change that too much besides maybe morter and spike factory
Can you do this with heroes? Expect you can buff them because I know they can't solo stuff that well
Middle path sniper gives an attack speed boost to all sniper monkeys. Could be helpful for this challenge

i think a fair way to test the expensive towers is by giving yourself like 3k starting cash so they all start with the same amount of cash

Foamy Sentries able to remove camo but not target camo without outside support is so laughable that either I'd want to see a revert of this "buff" or actually make it make sense
I think if 230 sentries could pop camos that would be a nice buff to the crosspath too
What makes bottom crosspath better than top crosspath for middle path sniper? Is the increased attack speed really enough to outpace the increased layer damage of the top path?
It is mostly about the reliability. Popping more layers is stronger (3.5x damage vs 2.5x aspd), but the damage of shrapnels is only double, and shots might get wasted on smaller bloons. But for sniper, both cross paths are balanced for all 3 versions.

I just did snipers only on Logs. wasn't too hard. had elite sniper and defender, 2 420s, like 6 230s and those beat 95, which was the hardest round.

Wizard can't use Fireball to hit Purples, really? That's a pretty solid option over in Battles 2, so I'm a bit surprised.

I do not have the time to try this ingame, but I am fairly certain that it should be able to beat chimps on long tracks.

I think a good alternative to the expensive towers is use a hero until you can afford the tower, and then sell the hero so it's just the tower

i think mortar, plane, heli, and spike factory could probably pass
super monkey cant because of camos and leads, farm cant be placed in chimps, village doesnt get to attack without a tier 5 upgrade, and i dont think dartling gets lead popping power in time.

The fireball upgrade on wizard can actually pop purples so that may have worked for them
Only the AOE of the fireball, as far as I know, so the balls can't actually hit the purple bloons. There may be some easy map that would allow this, but it would be difficult, to say the least.
@@LeDoctorBonesmaybe scrapyard since you can pop some of them with the crusher. Ravine and Dark dungeons also has damage-inflicting obstacles, but you won't get to r25 there.
@@LeDoctorBones it was done a few times within apc (all pops chimps) challenge, for example with wlp solo; doing it with two wizards isn't really that tough unless there was some nerf to 010 wiz recently

Sniper is still possible with elite sniper, bouncing bullet spam and one maim moab. And leave enough money for 5 102s for round 100.

All tier 5 dart monkeys can pop lead and supply drop can only pop lead with the main attack NOT the shrapnel
Plus elite targeting is strong then swaps to first when bloons are near the exit

beast handler can give you ez win in all pops but u need geraldo or village for camo
