Hey Nat, the actor of Kwon, Brandon H Lee, is actually the son of my Taekwondo coach at Lee's Champion Taekwondo Acedemy. He used to be there a lot and would even instruct me in class sometimes. Super cool guy anf I'm glad he is living his dream of being an actor.
awesome
That’s so awesome
That’s really cool, he seems extremely skilled👍
Why are you lying
@@joshuaballer12456 why are you in denial
The goat reacting again to CK
Also Kwon (The guy who does a 1v3 at the beginning), is played by Brandon H Lee, a 5th degree blackbelt in Taekwondo and National Champion.
Yeah, that's probably why his character's name is from Tae (Kwon) Do
Oh I’ve heard of him actually I think, that’s interesting👊thanks for letting me know
Thank you Nat, we have been waiting for this.
Duuude frrr
Duuude frrr
You’re welcome, hope it didn’t disappoint👊
the guy you were watching at 1:11 is Brandon H Lee and they are using taekwondo cuz hes the taekwondo world champion
It would be fun to watch some Karate vs Taekwondo in Cobra Kai or even better mixing both styles
This serie actually made me switch from boxing to MMA, kicks and throws are just soo cool
That’s cool, hope you’re enjoying the new training👊
Just to be accurate cobra kai is actually tang soo do (Korean karate) that’s what the cobra kai students in Korea train in. However what you said about the actors that play the Korean cobra kai students they are black belts in taekwondo
If it gets more people into Martial Arts, then it's a good thing.
Agreed 💯
Cobra Kai is confirmed to be tang soo do. It’s very similar to shotokan or teakwondo
Cobra Kai is Tang Soo Do, according to the back story with Kreese back when he was in Vietnam.
Ah, Tang Soo Do, the brother to Taekwondo
Tang soo do has a lot of taekwondo as like half of its foundation. The more karate part comes in after when the Japan occupation ended and the Koreans combined karate, some kung fu and other arts that make up Tang soo do, which is what Johnny uses in cobra Kai. He taught this to most kids, if not all but mainly Miguel and Robby. That’s why you see a lot of taekwondo kicks, cuz of this origins.
First guy fightig is a 5th degree black belt in taekwondo
Yeah I can tell, he’s great
National champion too
The Korean guys are Taekwondo artists irl but the art that they're supposed to portray is Tang Soo Do, which is a Korean martial art that birthed the style of Cobra Kai.
I never watched cobra kai but now i think I should watch
Definitely should
Really really good show
But you might wanna know the backstory of karate kid
It's Tang Soo Do .. heavily influenced by Tae Kwon Do, but still karate~
the first fight you watched, that actor is Brandon H Lee, hes a 4th degree black belt in taekwondo, and he’s been training since the age of 2.
He’s very good👊
That flipping kick Kwon did is called the Rolling Thunder, it’s used in the UFC. Justin Gaethje tried it against Max Holloway a few months ago and missed, and then Max laid him out with 1 sec to spare in the whole fight.
Do season 6 part 2 please theirs a lot of badass people like Zara and axel
Bros about to get a life time of content in November 💀
😂😂😂I’m looking forward to that
Cobra Kai is based on tang soo do and miyagi do is based off goju ryu
A spinning crescent kick is a lot easier to pull the force on, safer for acting. One could pull the force on a spinning back hook kick, but you'd have to be razor sharp and only slap with the pad of the foot, instead of hooking the target with your heel. As far as throat strikes, they are pretty popular in in Taekwondo, won't see them in sport TKD but in practical TKD, after 1st Dan, a lot of throat strikes are taught.
Omg nat you replied to my comment and did the cobra Kai reaction your the man
Glad you enjoyed bro👊👊
The actors went on strike and tbh I kinda saw they’re skill decreasing and the choreography not as good. The Senseis are the only ones who kept up with their training. The Taekwondo guys are real athletes who have most likely been training since kids
Yeah the taekwondo scene was great👍
The style in korea they use in cobra kai is tang soo doo its like if karate and taekwondo had a secret love child
Not just karate and taekwondo. It also has some kung fu and other arts, including judo. Tang soo do is super umbrella now and continues to grow.
2:35 rolling thunder (the flip kick) is a kyokushin move
Ye ig he didn't do kyokushin unlike me
@@TheDistilleryRaider nat's style is shotokan iirc
Video idea: Sparring random people at the MMA gym until i get knocked out, also cobra kai is not karate its tang soo do
They say it’s Karate but yea it’s Tang soo do but Mike Barnes is Shotokan Karate but realistically it’s just mix martial arts
Not like mma but multiple martial arts
Brother getting knocked out in an MMA gym is not a normal occurrence or a good thing . Unless it’s hard sparring that video will last forever.
Your dojo always looks really cosy
the one who beat those 3 by him self is international taekwondo champion in both USA and Korea
In the first clip, the actors, especially Brandon H Lee, are trained in taekwondo, although the marital art they're representing is tangsoodo
Cobra Kai is the classic Bullshido. Getting a black belt in 6 months is crazy
Goodnight , Nat 😊😊👋😪😪
Finally you actually reacted to it🎉
I did😎
I love the movies and show, but high schoolers winning karate tournaments with at most two years of practice under their black belts is just unrealistic.
It takes literal YEARS just to develop the muscle memory required to perform these moves.
And in season 6 they are competing in an international tournament that only allows the best fighters in the world.
Again; these are high schoolers who just joined a kids' karate class a few years ago.
The show makes karate look way too easy.
"Hit this, then kick that. Ok, that's great. Here's your black belt."
Its a show😑
@@EveryonegobrrDoesn't excuse inaccuracy. With the budget of main stream studios, it would be easy to find some good screen writers
Real fights and tv/movie fights have always looked different. Go all the way back to Bruce Lee movies where he would take out 30 guys at once, but it was always one at a time, they would only attack him one at a time to make it look good, but in reality, if all 30 guys had rushed him at once, it wouldn't have been a fight, it would have been a beat down.
You should do another one when Part 2 comes out! :) Great video!
Yeah I will do more of these for sure👍
i think the korean fighters' marital art is based on tang soo do which is just korean karate, from that fight scene alone you cant get the full idea but most of the training and other moves are shown outside of the fighting
I love your videos Nat, cobra Kai has inspired me so much in my taekwondo journey! 6:51 lol the back kick 😂
Me too man! Got a blue belt in karate, now i'm going to start judo in September
@@dylan_krishna_777awesome bro
Nice, hope the taekwondo training is going well👊
Babe, wake up, Nat just uploaded.
😂😂thanks bro
yooo the new season crazy asff thoo
It looks crazy
@@nathearn true that i cant waitt for the part 2 and for u to react to it
yippee I cant wait to finish this video
Same
Hope you enjoyed🤝
1:14 it’s Tang Soo Do not Taekwondo I did the research
Hawk is my favourite character all the way you should definitely watch cobra Kai
I met Jacob Bertrand and Peyton List.
They were so down to earth.
Great kids.
Nat, come to Hollywood, California needs you 😀
Nat 🐐🐐💨💨
Cobra Kai Karate comes from Tang Soo Do. Kreese trained it in the military. "Tang Soo Do" means "The Tang Hand", referring to the Tang dynasty, which occupied Korea. The Koreans adapted Tang Soo Do from Shotokan Karate, which later became Taekwondo.
It's actually Tang Soo Do taught by Master Kim. I started Karate because of Karate kid and Cobra Kai. I've been doing Shotokan since the 17th of November 2022 at the end of September I'll have my green belt exam. Osu 🥋🔥 i guess i can say CK is based on a mix of Tang Soo Do and Karate. The Korean fighter who came to John Kreese is Kwon Jae Sung (Brandon H Lee) A Taekwondo black belt.
FINALLY, been waiting like a year for this. But really?? Not Barnes vs Johnny reaction? My fav season is 1 and fav character off martial arts ability Kwon
Hawk is the typa fighter that is like if I see an opening im using it and ur not getting back up from it😂😂
Love your vids.
All the scenes are well explained
Why dont we have more long form vids. we need these
I have been waiting for this and it was worth it.
About getting more flexible. I stretch every night before I sleep. Stretch the outside of the hips, a side split and the hamstrings
Nice, keep up the great work👊👊
Really good vid
Thank you mate👍
Great vid keep up the work
Thank you👊👊
@@nathearn aye no prob
Its not the miyagi do way
Shut up 🤫

Everyone in the comments is saying that the Korean Cobra Kai students were using Tang Soo Do, and that's what they're training in, however, Brandon H. Lee has been training in Taekwondo since he was 3 years old, and is a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo, per. his website.
Hey bud, just so you know, it's not TaeKwonDo, It's TangSooDo, they have similar roots, but essentially split and went in different directions, TaeKwonDo went the sporty route, TangSooDo kept more toward the spirit of Karate but still had the flares and kicks, it's an interesting bit of history I'd recommend you look into if you'd like a good read! :)
TSD IS KARATE, 100%,
@daddy9267 It's a style of Karate for sure, usually referred to as Korean Karate, similar to how TKD is referred to as Korean Karate
6:07 fr tho i always thought robby was the best but its cuz his mom is a 2nd degree black belt irl or sum like thst
Oh really? That makes sense then👍
Brandon H Lee (Kwon) is the goat
Man doesn't need stunt doubles
His actual not just a actor he did taekwondo
Yeah i heard, that’s cool👍👊
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAWK IS THE GOAT!!!!! 🦅🦅🦅🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I agree🐐
@@nathearn W
Its TangSooDo. Cobra Kai Originated from TangSooDo but I do hate how they only do Taekwondo Kicks and not represent the Art itself.
Taekwondo will just get called "Karate" all over again instead of it actually being its own martial arts which is rooted from karate but has branched off long ago. Tangsoodo is much more closer to Karate in terms of Techniques and such, hence the nickname "Korean Karate"
@Nat Hearn. Well done Master Hearn you have made karate a respected Martial art once again. I myself have been training Wado Ryu for 16 years now and achieved my 1st Dan back in 2015. My Black Belt is my most prized possession.. I would love to sparr with you sometime if I ever get the chance. but for now Master Hearn OSU!.
Before i even watch this video, i really hope everyone already knows the answer is no
Your the only reason I’m one punch man
i love cobra kai mann
Nice💪
hawk is my fav character and s3 hawk vs brucks is my fav scene
Underated channel
Thanks mate👊
Johnny in adults and Miguel in teenagers
hey man just saying i think the fist one is tang soo do. great vids man
It could be Taekwondo as well, since there is more than just kicks in Taekwondo. But I don’t know much about Tang Soo Do so couldn’t say for certain as I only do Traditional Taekwondo
@@justakathings I see but it’s coz of the lore of kreese and silver, they learnt tang soo do. Even chosen said it but idk bro🤷🏿
@@PromiseJohnson. Oh really, then it probably is. I haven’t watched much of Cobra Kai
@justakathings its ok idk much either lol
Thank you bro👊👊
Keep up the great work i love your videos and hope you have a good day
Brandon H. Lee is the actor that plays kwon who 1v3 the other fighters and their fighting style is Tang Soo Do
Hey nearhen💣🌝 can you please make a video on muay Thai basics?
I learned lot of kicks of your and techniques
You truly are the chaddest One
Hahah thanks bro
YOOOOOOOOOO NATTTT WSPPPP LOVE THESE VIDS😊
Johnny's and cobra kai karate is based on tangsoo do and taekwondo as well as miyagi do is pure karate
Good knowledge hahah👊
Yo nate can you react to kickin it from disney xd
For context in the Korean scene, Kreese went to recruit Tang Soo Do students
Rip grandma (used a back kick)
This show has always had taekwondo the original trainer for them all was Simon rhee who’s a taekwondo guy
Oh interesting, i didn’t know that
we need nat hearn reacting to yakuza and like a dragon stuff‼️‼️‼️
the style of cobra kai is tang soo do what is a korean style of karate kreese learned it in the korean war the us military used there own style agianst them thats why you see cobra kai what came from kreese and silver using many teakwondo techniques. its karate with some teakwondo in it
I love these videos
I’m glad you do👊
tang soo do*
👍👍
I watched all the cobra Kai seasons including season 6 lol😂
Love this please do more
Will do, thank you👊
check cobra kai's training that kreese were there and they started to train they use taekwondo stance names
I am a Taekwondo player

This is Nat's excuse to watch Cobra Kai.
Mine too though 😂

2:40 we used frontflip kick in the earlier taekwondo tornament but now i think its banned
Isnt it called rolling thunder or something, from kyokushin karate
It definitely isnt tournament legal. Its very difficult to control and could easily land your opponent a trip to the hospital if you dont execute it perfectly.
The Sekai Taikai is a martial arts competition so we will see a bunch more martial arts incorperated
"martial arts competition" doesn't specify if it's for one style or multiple. do you mean it's like mma/freestyle?
@@fiendfi7119 mulitple
Its obviously going to be different styles if you use common sense but I guess you can't.@@fiendfi7119
1. S2
2. S4

My guy finally updated his recording gear.
From an outsider perspective, the story got more and more bonkers while the choreography keeps improvin.
Wait until november 15 and you will see Hawk fight 1v5 and Miguel vs Kwon(that guy who beat 3 at the same time)
i love your videos so much
Thank you I’m glad you do👊
Bro Robby has done Muay Thai in real life
I think nat likes back kicks
Im pretty sure
