If a doctor is trying to make a killing on his website selling you vitamins, salad dressing, and the like they are pretty shiesty. This guy is welcome to make ad revenue and sell few T-shirts! It's the snake oil I don't like. The guy is getting paid to lecture, but ONLY as long as people choose to listen. And I'm pretty happy about that. When I was on other diets, all the "preachers" were trying to sell me something I needed. We just need good food!
I lost a little over 120 lbs and have serious flappy arms. I’ve been keto about 15 weeks after years of paleo and then primal. I’ve been doing 16:8 IF for 4 weeks. My arms have already shrunk by 2” and are much tighter. I have been lifting weights, using kettlebells, and doing bodyweight HIIT for a year, and I can finally see my muscles as the flab improves. Even my friends have noticed the improvement. PS - I am a 50 year old woman if that gives hope to anyone.
i'm 57 and need to do this asap i feel awful since gaining about 45 pounds, but i have lost 13 in the last month and a half and hope to keep doing better, i have not started kept or anything, i son't really eat whites, i do a lot of vegetables and meat maybe 3/4 ounces. i am a diabetic as well.
The answer I've been looking for. I lost weight, saw the sagging skin, and gave up. Regained the weight. Starting over. I will beat it thus time. Thanks!
@deborahmorton547 Same here lost the weight, noticed the flabby skin and got very discouraged. I started eating all the junk food insight and considered having surgery to remove it. I'm currently s fitness trainer and want to be in the next shape I can to be a great role model for my clients but I also want to do things naturally and this video may have just saved me from making a brave mistake!!
@@deborahmorton547 I lost weight in the worst way but not happy with the loose skin. I thought about doing the same thing and gain it back. Problem is that it seems like I can’t gain a pound back. I wish you all the best and hope you succeed.
I’m currently down 20 lbs since the start of 2024 and I’m not even going to lie, my mindset has been “ I can’t wait to lose this weight so I can indulge in the foods I like once in awhile without feeling guilty. This video has COMPLETELY changed that mindset. There’s no point in looking back on my old lifestyle, thank you for this video it’s inspiring and motivating to say the least
The more you eat tasty food, the harder it is to eat healthy. Just don’t do it. Don’t even have cheat meals if you find the next day you’re craving it.
My 93YO friend had paper thin skin, bruised easily and you could see all her veins. She kept a good diet of fresh foods but limited her red meat intake. I’m on the carnivore diet, which she knew but still worried about red meat. One day she said she was craving red meat, I said do it. We went to the store and bought ground beef, she’s making meat loaf’s, meatballs and burgers for 6 months. Her skin is getting thicker and more vibrant than before, she’s not bruising like she has in the past. If a 90 YO woman can see results like this in 6 months, don’t worry you will too.
I am 71ok. I will start eating more red meat because of what you said I bruise easily -you can see kitty paws on my tummy - and trace 90 percent of my veins like arms and legs. My daughter has finally found a farmer and we are buying better meat now What is in the stores just didn’t taste right. If a 93 years young can do it so I can and give it my best shot. Thank you so much for sharing with everyone I believe your testimony and I believe Jesus put it on your heart ❤️ that others will see the truth in these words. Thank you very much May Yeshua richly bless all you for Him you and your family and friends Texas
I lost 110lbs over the course of 2 years, if I laid on my side my skin would flop and lay on the bed beside me. 3 years of time restricted eating and occasional 40-70 hour fasts and my excess skin has disappeared without any further weight loss.
Due to Type 2 Diabetes, etc... I have been doing Keto/IF since June of 2023. I cycle between 18:6 and 23:1. I have lost 50lbs, no lose skin (I'm almost 50 yrs old and menopausal, just in case some of you say, maybe because I'm young). Let autophagy do it's thing, fasting works.
So you were able to fast being a type II? That's the part that concerns me. The longer I don't eat, the higher my sugars go, so I'm not quite sure how to fast without it affecting my blood sugar.
@@riceflowershea8748if you’re in ketosis your sugars shouldn’t rise that much while fasting. Are you eating carbs? If so please look into keto diet or carnivore diet ❤
@Marigold-ip3gw This is the way it's always been since I was diagnosed. Originally, I started out having a problem with low blood sugar, then it started climbing higher and higher. I've had several doctors tell me this happens to a lot of people. Every time I fast because I need to have blood work drawn to check my numbers, it's always high. The longer I fast, the higher my sugars go. My sugars go into the 500's, then drop to 32 in the same day. I'm on 3 different injectable insulins. I've never been able to control it.
I did a 72 hour fast Sun-Wed for 3 weeks in a row and I noticed on the 3rd week my lower tummy was super tight! I couldn’t believe it. Totally true, but it’s definitely a grind 😢 I had to give myself a break after 3 weeks of fasting, but started intermittent back up this year. 30lbs left to cut for 100lb weight loss!
@@9620kod thanks-I would break my fast with a plain baked sweet potato and avocado. 2 big sources of potassium and easily digestible. Sometimes I would do watermelon too but not right out of the gate. TMI Bone broth would give me the runs so I would incorporate it later in my refeed
@@AndreaLillyM I drank 2 things-a large black cold brew every morning and filtered water with infused electrolytes (e.g. smart water, alkaline waters). Day 2 I would take some pink salt if I felt woozy, but mostly just water and the morning cold brew. Good luck 🍀

My husband lost 250 so far. He has done keto and Intermittent for 2 years, he had a lot of skin after the first 100 he began what equates to running a 15m mile every day.He was 500lbs and we do eat a very clean diet. As soon as he started going to the gym his skin began to retract. He has very little excess now and I have faith continuing the lifestyle will continue his improvement.
My friend's done intermittent fasting for decades: never eats after dinner until lunch the next day. Not much exercise either but he's healthy and slim, with gorgeous skin at sixty-five. Complete strangers praise his hair and can't believe his age. I'm sold on this advice!
2. Every cell that makes up skin is replaced every 3 months. 3. Your skin is made of what you eat. 4. Autophagy. Your body will eat itself. 16-18 hours of fasting it goes into autophagy, fat from skin will make it digest. Your body is capable or recycling that loose skin. 5. Autophagy increases the longer you fast. 6. Your body will start breaking down tissue it does not need. 7. 1% improvement every 3 months. 8. Microneedling, keto, Intermittently Fasting, May improve results every 2-3% every 3 months.
It's true. I'm losing weight with keto/IF and my body is slowly toning itself while I lose weight. I thought keto and intermittent fasting would be hard but I love it! Yes, I fall off tge wagon sometimes but I don't give up!
I hope this comment helps to encourage others in my position. I'm in my early 60's, and I'm currently intermittent fasting, working out, and properly nourishing my body, and have been for the past two months. I've already lost 25 lbs. My point is that because of my age, I was terrified of ending up looking like I was permanently wearing skin that looked like cheap drapery. Agh... I desparately wanted to believe that the autophagy would also digest the loose skin, but I was unsure. This video reminded me of something I experience a week ago: I noticed the skin on the back of my hands looks more youthful. I also have a deep wrinkle between my eyebrows. Running my finger over it now, it seems to be much more shallow; as if it's disappearing. Putting it all together, I realized I don't have anything to be afraid of at all! Thank you so much for helping to put my fear to rest, as that fear was psychologically hindering my weight loss.
Thank you Cymbelin, I am exactly the same age as you and have been doing IF etc for the same time and I also like to look after myself and look as good as I can for my age. I too was worried about the skin after loosing 11kg and sure enough, its very dry, even though I bathe in coconut oil in my bath and slather oils over my arms and neck and face every day, sometimes twice a day.. I too have that wrinkle between my eyebrows and I think that is getting less too. BUT, my arms are still soooo dry and also upper arms are very floppy and wrinkly looking , especially when I bend over and down and look at them, yikes, very puckered and wrinkly. I will continue with the wonderful fasting though and slathering my oils and remain positive that it will slowly improve over time
@@claireallsopp8701 I hear you, Claire! Thanks for the reply. I'm well aware that I'll never be twenty again, and my bikinis will never again see the light of day, but I am pleased with the improvements I've seen, that quelled my fears about weight-loss. I strength train, and I think that works in conjunction with IF. It's as if the more the muscle beneath the skin is toned, the more it improves the skin tone, (I theorize.) Congrats on dropping 11kg! More power to you! I'll give away one of my secrets, too. For my face, I buy an unscented lotion, (120 ml/4 oz.) and then add some good quality essential oils. I started keto about a year ago, and I started losing weight right away. Then I recently jumped over to the carnivore and started intermittent fasting, things became so much easier. I can't believe it's just crazy, I don't even want to eat OMAD at times. I went from 316 pounds down into my 240. I know I would be a lot further along if I had applied intermittent fasting sooner. After much ridicule from most of my family members, they too now have gotten on the bandwagon. My wife has lost 30 lb, my sister's lost 40 lb. lol just good stuff. Thanks for all your time and work that you invest in getting this information out there Dr. Berry. I greatly appreciate you. God bless.
I was effectively called a liar about my weight loss a few years ago, because they couldn't believe I had such elastic skin with no loose bits in my late 40s. Now, several years later, my skin is even better...I have learned more and eat a more ketogenic/intermittent fasting diet than the simple low carb food I started with back then. My only regret is I didn't have the knowledge in my 20s....

Dr Berry I know your video is 6 years old but I want to say Thank you so much ❤ I’m on a 5 day water fast, I’m 64 post menopausal and lean towards carnivore heavily but never consistent past 3 months. I would become so fatigued I had to nap twice a day for an hour to two. I’m fasting in hopes I heal whatever is holding me back from being successful with carnivore. My goal is rolling fasts of various lengths 24’s-72’s till my weight is reduced and my autoimmune illness healed. My blood sugar, blood pressure and temperature are each normal for the first time in 40 years 🎉 appreciate you and your family ❤
I fast a lot for 16+ hours and my loose skin is tightening!!! I. Never knew the correlation thanks so. Much!! I’ve lost 100 pounds and kept it off for 15 years an now my skin is way better

Losing 40 lbs doesn’t usually bring in loose skin. It’s the people that have large amounts of weight to lose and lose it quickly that result in that issue.

I have more freedom a bit to eat a little less healthy at times to keep me same but then drink water as well
Great advise 👍. I've been on keto for 3 months. I've lost 30 pounds and I've been doing the fasting. I'm 59 and the lines on my face have decreased considerably. I can testify to what you said is true. Even the loose skin under the chin has decreased.

Thank you!!! This is exactly the information I've been looking for for months. All I keep hearing is "there's nothing you can do about it" and it's extremely discouraging to think that by getting healthier and losing weight, you end up with a body that makes you feel ugly. This gives me hope.

Absolutely fantastic to hear. At 57 I was rather concerned that my weight loss was going to leave me with a terrible looking frame. However the 65 lbs I have lost so far have been completely through intermittent fasting and Keto/low carb. Great to hear I am on the right path, thanks so much.
I do eat a lot of chicken, and it's one of the best sources of collagen along with eggs. Throughout my weightloss journey over the last year, I've noticed my skin feeling a lot nicer as I've moved away from artificially-made foods. I had no idea that what I was eating was the source of that change. While I expect to have some wrinkles in my belly, my skin has been fairing better than I thought it would. And now I see why. I knew about the autophagy thing, but I had no idea that my mainstay of chicken and eggs were doing that much. Thank you for this. It's always nice to stumble onto something like this!
Wow love to hear this, so glad to hear I’m on the right track for tightening my loose tummy after pregnancy. I’ve been intermittent fasting and working out for 6 months now and I’ve seen a real big difference in my skin.

@@lauramejia757 Hi! I'm a newbie at this, so I hope my advice is good. I started 11March and I have lost 17lbs so far. Blood glucose down 16 pts! Joint pain all gone! I can hardly believe it. My advice: Listen to the vids on Keto. Read up on it on the internet. Buy a good book on the topic. This way you'll be armed with lots of info about what to eat, what to avoid, when to eat, etc. More info is better. Get it from a variety of sources. The short summary is cut carbs and load up on fresh, organic (if possible) non starchy vegetables, moderate consumption of organic meats & fish, and lots of fats (with a tendency to make the majority healthy fats). The fats will cut your appetite, as will the reduction in carbs. Once you understand the part about macros, itll help you design your food plan. I use the MyFitnessPal app to track carbs, protein and fat and their distribution in my meals. Also calories, secondarily. It costs me $50 per year, but I use it every day. Its work, but it's worth it to me. There may be cheaper/free apps online, I dont know. I started with the free version and then just stayed with it and upgraded. Once you get the hang of this, you'll like it. You wont be hungry and theres a zillion Keto recipes out there to explore and give breadth to your food selections. I wish you good luck and good health!

I’m in the process of losing weight right now. I’ve lost 20 pounds so far. I gained weight after having children & my struggle with depression & knee injury. Thanks for this informative video, I’m 64 years old and doing Keto the second time. The first time I lost was about 8 years go. I lost 143 lbs. I had some loose skin but my clothes covered it. This time around I am much better informed and I also have incorporated IF into my routine so I am confident the weight will stay off.
I haven't actually lost all my weight yet, but I am trying to take counter measures to avoid the loose skin. I'm currently 6'1" 306lbs, down from 327. I like intermittent fasting, so I'm glad the solution is a simple one.
31yo, female, POCS, 20/4 and OMAD since April 2018, currently down 4 sizes, almost 5. I was US 18 when I started. I was afraid about having a lot of loose skin, but the more I am close to my goal, the more I see the situation isn't nearly as bas as I thought it would be. I still have to lose weight, but I can already see my legs are quite tight, and the flappy skin on my arms is slowly getting better. Sometimes I also fast for an entire day or two.
Hi, I asked the same question above but maybe you can answer it. If the skin in question has stretch marks, will it still tighten up? I am not assuming you have stretch marks but if you do and would like to answer, I would appreciate it.
I'm so relieved you posted this video. I lost 70lbs relatively quickly (via exercise + healthy diet) 5 years ago but I'm left with loose skin and I really don't want to undergo surgery due to risks. I recently heard intermittent fasting could be a way to reduce loose skin, and now I feel extremely motivated to give it a try over the course of this year to see what I can do on my own to improve my skin situation. Thanks for your helpful, practical advice for those of us out there seeking guidance on how to achieve our goals without resorting to surgery.

Following you and Dr. Sten Ekberg has helped me lose 60 in a year and my husband 120 pounds in 2 years. We do ketovore, IF, lifestyle and we both have more loose skin than I like. I do know I didn't get fat overnight and changes won't happen overnight. We do OMAD and I add in a 36 or more waterfast once a month and have done a 96-hour waterfast. Thank you for getting us off statins, and BP meds and taking my hubs from A1C of 6.7 to 5.4, and losing the prediabetes status from his medical records and morbidly obese from both our medical records!! Both our doctors are impressed and my doctor has changed his own eating habits since beating stage 4 colon cancer! Food MATTERS!
I have watched thousands of hours of videos on the ketogenic diet, but I always look forward to your videos with your simple no BS approach. Many people try to convince you to take supplements and eat only grass-fed meats which is out of reach for many low income families. Thanks
Walmart sells grass fed organic beef for $5.48 lb. where I live. It's $1.60 more for a pound than the processed beef. It's what I feed my family during the week and totally worth the slightly higher expense because it is so much better for you to consume. We have keto pizza on Mondays and Fridays, a breakfast dinner night (organic eggs $3.83 dz, nitrate free bacon $4.89, and keto pancakes), a Mexican wrap night (Organic shells for the kids $2.89 a pack, grass fed meat, and non RBst cheese, organic sour cream $1.98, and lettuce - I just make a taco salad no wraps), a burger and hot dog night (nitrate free hotdogs $1.98 and grass fed beef - no buns for me) and Annie's Organic mac-n-cheese, and on the weekends we do wings, chicken, or pork-chops if I can find hormone free. I drink a small organic coffee with kerrigold butter and coconut oil almost everyday, and avocado for my first meal and generally left overs, and I buy organic bread and organic snacks for my kids lunches. I spend between $130-$160 per week to feed a family of 4 for all meals. I don't make much money because I am in sales on 100% commission and I can go months without pay because I sell extremely large purchases in a flooded market. My husband makes about $55K a year. We struggle, but our food is a must and if you plan properly, it's not as expensive as people think. I do have to go to three different stores to get everything on the list, which is a hassle. It's getting competitive out there, more and more stores offer organic, prices are dropping. Keep searching and you'll find more affordable foods :)
I try to get grass fed when I can but in Canada it is harder to find at a reasonable price. The best thing to do is make sure you are getting your veggies, vitamins, minerals and essential fats like omega 3. For myself I'm not too concerned as I make enough money but for many there would be too many compromises if everything was grass fed and organic. Eating cheap keto is way better than the cheap carb lifestyle, I like how Dr Ken Berry is realistic and does not try to push a lifestyle that may put people in economic hardship.
I really think the costs balances out. Just think of the cost of a box of cereal. Getting rid of cereal in the morning and giving your family a healthy omelet/egg scramble with bacon that has no added nitrates/nitrites starts their day off better and keeps them full longer. I buy organic eggs from Costco for $5.99 for a 2 dozen carton, that's $3/dozen. Large organic salad mix that would feed a family of 4-6 are less than $4 at Costco and Walmart. Once your body becomes adapted to eating healthier, it takes less food to feel satisfied. I have not noticed any difference in my food dollars because I don't buy the processed junk that keeps you going back for more. Costco also has 3 lbs of the bacon I mentioned for $13. Divide that by 4 and it's $3 and some change for 12 ounces, which is what bacon is packaged as now. I think I may actually spend less because nothing is wasted. Healthy fats are the key to successful IF and ending wastefulness.
my husband and i are both on disability and my son gets a check. together we make about 36k a year. so all organic, grass fed, etc is really not an option for us most of the time. i buy it when i can afford it, its on sale. also, we both have a difficult time spending time prepping and cooking meals, so it has to be as easy as possible. i am glad i eat less with KETO. that has definitely cut down on food costs for me at least, but my guys are not keto. and we live in rural US and prices for food are not low here. even with a a meat processing plant on the north side of town that ships all over the world (angus), meat is still pricey at $5/6 a pound, for ground, more for other cuts and that is just at the grocery store. the butcher is even more!
Thanks Dr. Berry! I have noticed that anyone who really pays attention to their nutrients and water requirements looks healthy and has nice skin. Thanks for sensible advice. I am going to make extra effort to go the 16/8 hour IF while faithfully keeping up with all the good practices I have learned. I noticed I can start to lose track of water, nutrients, exercise, etc., as I get busy or distracted (or discouraged?) and it shows! I also feel the need to dust off my scribbler where I wrote all my goals, and review and refresh them. Kudos to all those who have made this journey to wellness, thanks to people like you who have told us how to do it. God bless your little heart.
I have lost 85 lbs on Carnivore. My loose skin is under my chin. Carnivore has truly changed my life. I was very sick before I went on Carnivore. High Blood Pressure, extremely bad Sleep Apnea, Chronic Pain from a severe injury years ago. I am a completely different person today.
With 200lbs to lose I am definitely going to have loose skin and I don't react well to anesthesia so surgery is terrifying. Even if this was all BS, it is giving me enough hope to overcome the fear that has always derailed me in the past when I start feeling the extra jiggle. I will definitely be taking it to heart! Thank you.
@@misottovoce When do you need to start IF? I am in my 2nd week of Keto and while my appetite is much better than last week, I have periods where I can't take it. I know it's supposed to be increase fat to help hunger, but I have done that. I expect as I go on another week or two it will be much better, but I can't imagine not having breakfast, dinner, and my snack at night. (Low carb yogurt or celery with a bit of natural Smucker's peanut butter.) I'm getting the hours I sleep and maybe 2 hours after I wake up before I have to eat. So maybe only 11 or 12 hours fasting.
@@neurocadence I started IF nearly a month into Keto with 16/8 IF. It is easy for me to eliminate breakfast since I was never hungry until a few hours after awakening, so I had no problem having my lunch at around 1:30 or 2pm (normal for us) and evening meal around 8pm or so (French-Swiss husband can't imagine eating earlier at 7pm as I am used to). I can relate to what you say about not being able to imagine not having breakfast etc and your snack. Having to watch my hypoglycemia since 40 years or so, I could not imagine not eating a little something every few hours - as we were advised way back then. I couldn't imagine fasting! But, immediately on Keto, I never, ever felt a need for those 5 meals a day anymore. What makes fasting easy for me is understanding it's positive effect on the body, ketosis and the autophagy effect. I keep that always in mind, and continue to read the scientific literature behind it and watch quality videos. If I could give you any bit of worthwhile advice, it would be to understand that the little snack you have at night, prolongs your 'feeding window' and shortens your natural nighttime/sleep fasting time. Remember that the body needs about 4 hrs to digest food, then the body needs time to use up the glycogen before it will switch to fat reserves. So essentially a 16 hr fast is really a 12 hr fast and a true 24 hr fast needs 28 hrs from the last meal. See what I mean? Change your mindset from 'can't do without etc' to 'I really don't need it because I'm not really hungry'. Try letting a teaspoon of coconut oil or butter melt in your mouth for your breakfast or when you suddenly feel hungry. Works for me. And be SURE to keep up your electrolytes (Dr Berry has a video on that) drink more water/tea, use more salt. Sodium, potassium and magnesium needs must be replenished. Lack of enough fluid AND not enough salt can make you 'feel' as if you were hungry. We develop habits especially food ones that we continue whether it is necessary or not. Identify what is habit and what is 'need'. Trust your body and give it time to fat adapt. 2 weeks is a bit too soon so have patience to tune into what is happening within you. Perhaps try a nice ginger tea at night, unsweetened to replace that snack and understand that it is better for you. Sorry this is so long. Don't worry too much and persevere. It is so worth it!
@@misottovoce This is funny now because I have the opposite problem! I am starting week 4 and I have hardly any appetite. I go all day without eating and it worries me that my calories are too low daily. I have hypo thyroid and I don't want to make it slow down because my daily calories are 500 or so. I have so little appetite, and I'm having a hard time actually getting my nutrition because I get full so easily. I had my son get me a meal replacement to drink because even though it's very low carb it has fat and protein and some extra calories. I hate that I did this though and won't again because I know whole food is best. But I was feeling weak and tired even though I wasn't hungry at all. It was weird to go from unbearable hunger/obsessed with food to meh, I could have a couple of eggs and bacon and that would be it. Dr. Berg says to get 8 cups of veggies and wow, I can get a 1 or 2 cup salad with extras (olives, cucumber, etc) and a protein and I'm stuffed! But I love this, I have lost 5 lbs only in 4 weeks but I am fine with that. 4 inches from my waist and 2 from my hips. My pants are falling off already. Thank you for your advice and encouragement.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve lost 70 lbs post pregnancy - had gained 67 lbs. I tried to lose it slowly, to avoid loose skin. I’m struggling with loose skin on my abdomen. I was afraid there was nothing I could do for my stomach ‘flap’. I started IF a few weeks ago, and am already seeing improvements and losing inches. I will make sure to eat better quality foods now. See how that improves the quality of my skin. This gives me hope.
2 years of IF, 20/4 and omad only right from the start, 4 months keto and 90lbs down, 20 to my goal. I must say, I don't have as much loose skin as I should do, and as I see other women had after a similar weight loss. I still have some, mind you, but most of my weight was (and is) on my tights, butts and belly pouch, and my knees were absolutely horrible. I had rolls of fat over them, while now they're just disappearing and the skin isn't falling over them anymore. I don't plan to have surgery soon, and actually I'd avoid it if I could, but even if eventually I will have to, I prefer it to be minimal with the help of autophagy. I will never stop doing IF, it's just too good on so many aspects.
Dr Berg does seem sincere, but I have started to doubt his scientific understanding. He has made some egregiously wrong statements in his videos that anyone with a high school science education would know was wrong. I would take his advice with a grain of salt.
@@KM-pm6qe If I were you, I'd look at his TRACK RECORD. Dr. Berg has been out here for years, and he looks younger and better every year. Does that sound to you like someone who doesn't know what he is talking about? I think *you* don't have any idea what you are talking about.

About 7 years ago, I weighed 399 lbs at 6 feet tall. I was 55 years old and a doctor told me I would never see 60 years of age. He recommended gastric sleeve surgery. So I did it and I lost about 175 lbs and maintained a loss of 140 lbs since then. I knew I still needed to lose some weight so in August I started the Ketogenic lifestyle. As of today I have lost 50lbs. As you can imagine, I have a lot of loose skin. It has shrunk considerably since starting the ketogenic lifestyle. I do intermittent fasting (20-4) Monday thru Friday, and a 5 day fast once a month. Would alternating keto with carnivore eating plan be more beneficial for repairing my skin and weight loss. My goal is to be at 200lbs by January 1st 2021. I am currently at 218lbs. Thanks
Thank you, Dr. Berry for another video! I finally hit my point after seeing a photo at a football game with my brothers being posted on Facebook. Seeing myself bounce around from 350 to 360 for about 5 years has taken its toll on my body. Little under two months ago I finally went all in on Keto. I tried to do as much research as possible and found your videos. They helped me learn WhT to expect. I’m currently sitting at 306 from 362 and feeling great. I’m excited to get out of the 300 range. After 2 weeks into the diet I’ve had no urge for carbs really of any kind. It’s really become an easy diet with weekly and usually daily results. My only crutch I still have is the monster zero carb drinks. That’s the next thing I’ll cut. I know it has Zero carbs but the caffeine I’m sure isn’t the best. Keep up the videos and thanks for the info.

Potassium tightens skin up: beans are low glycemic have 400 -600 mg per serving; avocado has as much as a bananna of potassium; protein you eat is not collagen, amino acids help build collagen but you can take collagen supplement because after 30 your production goes down; can also incorporate jello or bone broth as these are collagen in food form you can buy too; plus vitamin c is used to make collagen most collagen supplements don't include it in package therefore a supplement of vitamin c with you collagen supplement. My ankle swelling has improved since taking collagen supplement it's amazing. Biotin supplement is great for skin 10,000 mg I take and omega 3 fats from fish or fish oil or avocados too great vitamins for skin. Recap of vitamins: Collagen, vitamin C, Biotin, and Omega 3. @jdw5889. What was your restricted eating schedule? And were you strictly low carb or keto?
Totally true, but it’s definitely a grind 😢

One more thing! I had a few tiny skin tags on my neck. They seem to be disappearing, too. :)
I add 15 drops of Frankincense; 15 drops of Grapefruit, and 10 drops of Lavender. I'll never buy an expensive moisturizer again! All the best to you. :)
@@Cymbelin oh wow....I too make my own moisturiser...out of beef tallow which I render myself. I LOVE frankincense essential oil and rose geranium so that's my combo. So I might make a huge tub so my arms can benefit as well as my face. Nice and cheap and very effective for a face moisturiser.

We're all dumb in our 20's...great job on the weight loss!! 👍

I believe what helps is that there is significantly less muscle loss with this way of eating.

How did your skin hold up? That’s about the same for me … it’s wild

@@lauramejia757 Start keto as soon as you can. Stop eating bad oils and cook with olive oil or coconut oil. Try to sleep as much as you can.
God Bless You & Yours Carina!! I’m Very Impressed with what you you’ve done with the Challenges you have!!🙌🙏🙌❤️👍👍☺️
I'm tearing up after watching this video and reading the comments. Amazing!
After 60lbs down . All I can say is that I’m glad I have this problem now
I lost 75 pounds in 4 months doing this. It works. I have 30 pounds to go. I have started eating more, but ready to kick this into high gear.
Wow!! Any tips on how to lose quickly?
Again I say your are on the right track I asked for a miracle I got your video.
I wish we had doctors like you around here.

We have him here.
I’m in Tennessee- where is his practice at?
I am moving to TN next year. Dr. Berry will be my only doctor!
Thanks!
Thank you very much Elizabeth!!
Thanks Dr.
Díky!
As a life-long skeptic, I truly appreciate your sensible, no BS advice.
Thank you.
Be sure to do IF daily, with once a week 24 hr fast and once a month 48 hrs. Fasting/autophagy will definitely help you.
@@misottovoce thanks so much for this very encouraging advice.
I lost 225 pounds and priced the Surgery , I bought a New Harley Davidson instead

Thank you!! I need to lose 60 pounds and I was having fears about loose skin but it’s reassuring to know that I can avoid surgeries :)
I’m so glad I watched this. I started intermittent fasting and was alarmed at the weird shape some of my fat was taken. Now I know to just wait
Yeah, I'm dealing with the same thing! It's freaking me out to see my body right now!
I have been using dermaroller on my slack tummy and I've noticed a nice change in overall tone. I also do 16/8 Intermittent fasting.
I love Gin Amber dermarollers…. :). I used to
Buy them
On Amazon but they would scrape my skin
What size of the needles?
Thanks
Thank you !!
It's well worth it if only for the brain fog disappearance effect.
Has your period been affected?
Eating 3 times a day is the worst thing people teach their children.
I like the sincerity behind Dr.Berry's videos. He and Dr.Berg seem to have a genuine desire to help people.
This makes all kinds of sense to me. It explains so much. I just found Dr Berry about 24 hours ago. He was the answer to my prayers to God for help. Thank you Lord!
He basically saved my life. So glad I found him too.
THANK U! HAVE SOME LOOSE SKIN AND WAS LOOKIN 2 AVOID ANY FORM OF SURGERY AND DEFINITELY WILL B TAKIN THIS ADVICE!
Thank you for sharing this. It has given me so much anxiety over the years and why I haven't really been serious about losing weight. I was afraid of the end result. I now have confidence in going forward this year with my weight loss plans. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I started saving money to pay for plastic surgery, after listening to this, I think I will see about improving the quality of my food. Thank you for this information!!
Surgery should never be done. It’s horrific , painful, takes forever to heal. Also leaves you with insane scars. That’s if you have a good surgery.
Fasting is free, it works isn’t painful. Leaves zero scars will even remove damaged skin. Zero complications and can be as fast or slowly done as you want. I do , 72 hours eat then do 48s eat 2 days repeate.

Thank you very much, I am 27 about to be 28 and have been overweight to obese till I was 19 years old and I currently started intermittent fasting and have been losing drastically. That got me worried about loss skin but your video did help me to understand which direction I can go. Thank you 🎉
About 7 years ago, I weighed 399 lbs at 6 feet tall. Thanks
Just wondering if you reached your goal? Today is March 13, 2021

IF + keto is just incredibly good
People around me think I'm crazy for doing keto + IF, but I've been getting good results like better skin condition, successful weight loss, and no need for any pills (advils/zantac etc.)
I actually no longer suffer from asthma as well
"Too good to be true" means it sounds amazing but is not true. Is that what you mean to say? That it sounds great but does not work?
haha I guess I didn't do proofreading my comment back when I was writing
I just wanted to say it was incredibly good
Thanks for pointing it out
I do water fasting every day and it works wonders its also good for detoxing and gives you mental clarity
Thank you. I lost all my weight on weight watchers and just found you. Gonna look into fasting and feeding my body better.
Keep up the videos and thanks for the info.
can you give an update how much your skin improved in the previous 3 years?
I will NEVER give up my coffee. Please what is IF?

Heba Al-Madhoun really really! And he's in his 40s. He does intermittent fasting too so that's worth a shot, but your skin is constantly renewing itself so everyone should wait before considering putting themselves through major surgery.

My sister and I were just talking about this topic last night. I've been doing Keto/IF since late July and have lost 48lbs. My neck is soooo loose and saggy! I was wondering if IF would help firm it up. Watching this video, I now have hope! Thanks Dr B! 👍
I was starting to get loose skin on neck now it's gone since taking these.

No beans. Look up what's allowed on the Keto diet. Then look at what's allowed on the Carnivore diet. Then stick to it. It's not about calories because of you're truly eating what's allowed you don't need to and your cravings for carbs and sweets go away.
