Gonna need to start winning some big games. 1-3 vs Michigan and 0-3 vs the SEC doesn’t deserve much respect
Ryan Day's record is 56-8, and out of his 8 losses 6 have been to teams ranked in the top 5 when OSU played them and also in the final rankings. The other 2 losses were to teams ranked 9th and 12th. On top of that, 3 of those 8 losses went to that season's eventual National Champion, meaning they were not just better than Ohio State that season, they were better than EVERYBODY. OSU has also been the UNDERDOG in every CFP appearance under Day that resulted in a 21 point win over FAVORED Clemson, a 6 point loss to FAVORED Clemson on a failed final drive, a 1 point Ioss to FAVORED Natty Champ GA on a missed final FG attempt and a loss to FAVORED Bama in the CFP Final. All that while learning on the fly as a 1st time HC. Compare that to guys like Kirby Smart who in his 1st 5 years at GA had lost games to Vandy, Harbaugh, a veteran HC who had made a Super Bowl, losing games to unranked Iowa and unranked MSU with teams ranked #2 and #7. Even Urban, in his final 4 years with those horrible losses to unranked Iowa and Purdue; that's after winning 3 natties. Yes Ryan Day has had some disappointing losses, but he's not out there losing games to bums. Finally, he's the only OSU coach to win B1G titles in his 1st 2 seasons as HC. I get so sick of spoiled myopic OSU fans whining about what Ryan Day hasn't done when 99.5% of most college programs would gladly take a head coach with Day's profile.

@@BulletProofSoul1029 Ryan Day hasn’t done anything more than the bare minimum. It’s fans like you who keep subpar coaches like him employed. At OSU you are supposed to beat Michigan and the SEC which are always the most important games on the schedule. I don’t care if he’s a first year HC or not, you’re expected to win and be judged the same way as a veteran coach. This is why OSU shouldn’t be hiring brand new coaches

Day has given Austin one on one interviews before but to see this at Roosters, and not in Day's office, is pretty cool.

It's great to see Day with you all. I hope the nattys come to him and the program. It's hard to be patient but even Saban didn't start winning Nats, he's in his 70s, this is Day's 6th year as head coach but every year he makes solid moves to improve and one day it will pay off guaranteed. Austin, Ryan Day has 2 B1G titles, not zero. He's actually the only OSU Head Coach to start his tenure with two straight B1G 10 titles. C'mon man, you should at least know that as a member of the beat.🙄
I don't know why Bobby Carpenter doesn't try and get on the staff with Coach Ryan Day, I am not sure but I believe he would make a great defensive position coach, I am also aware that Laurinaitis was just hired by coach Day and he just can't hire everyone, but I really believe Bobby has some value and he needs to be on the staff at some capacity even as an assistant just get started somewhere I have a feeling he would make a great defensive coach.

Great acknowledgment to Bobby. I agree. Bobby loves OSU. I’ve been on several Buckeye Cruise and Bobby is so engaged and all in - it’s great. Ryan’s mistake is aligning with Austin Ward. He doesn’t realize how disliked he is in buckeye nation.
