  • I have owned the Endura 4 since mid October 2015.
    It has been a very good edc knife.
    Now it is time to move to other things but I will miss it

    I had carried an Endura for 20 years as an EDC before I went on my knife journey, and eventually I cam back to Spyderco and use the Para 2 as my preferred EDC knife. I still have my original Endura and it was from the time before they started adding numbers after it, so its just an Endura. It has a AUS8 blade and it was fully serrated and it worked perfect for me all that years. But now I prefer the full flat like your but in the S30V or the Para 2. Ive never taken mine apart either (neither the Endura or the Para 2). Actually, my Endura does not have an adjustable pivot. It is peened over and never ever gave me any trouble. I like how Spyderco heat treats all the steels that they use. I trust them and feel that they know the best methods for making knives that perform optimally.

      +traderjoes That is one thing I do not like about my Native 4...they used pins instead of screws...it has no bladeplay but it might get it with time...
      I carried the Endura for a few months and now I switched to the Native mainly because mine is in 440V. I do miss the Endura...and now I would have a hard time chosing between it and my Para2. I like the Para but the Endura has a few things which I really like...

    I've been using a purple-handled Endura as my EDC for the better part of three years now, and I love it. While the handles are a bit thin for extended heavy use, I don't really see that as a significant negative for its intended purpose. The slender and lightweight handles are actually one of the great virtues of this knife. The knife feels like it disappears every time I clip it to my pocket, in a way that other smaller knives I've carried just never managed to do. I sometimes consider purchasing a Delica, but since my Endura is already so unobtrusive, the only real advantage the smaller blade would have is that it might be less intimidating to some people. That consideration was one of my reasons for choosing the purple scales for my Endura. I still might get one someday for when I'm not at work. Overall, the most pleasant folder I've ever owned.

      +fordhouse8b I think so too...the fact that it is slim and light weight are the big selling points... Like with the Sage, I think that the Endura is a great edc blade....but unless you have a pair of gloves you would not want to use it for an hour of cutting cardboard...
      I don't think that a Delica would make much sense. I want one...but the only reason for me would be to get one in ZDP189 to reduce the edge angle and thin out the grind...I heard taht ZDP can take that and it would be a small utility blade that can just get the job done quickly...but I d like the blade size of the Endura...It took me a while to get used to the handle...but as i also said and you mentioned...it carries very well...so that helped...plus my test of VG10 comparing it with the F1, where the Endura clearly came in first did not hurt at all :)

      +SpartanJohns Yes, Spyderco (or whoever they subcontract to) seems to get maximum potential out of their blade material. I grew up in Sweden and have at various times considered buying something from Fällkniven, but have been discouraged by reviews mentioning edge chipping. Plus if I want to be patriotic, Moras are are so much cheaper, and I have a sentimental attachment to them ever since buying my first one at their factory for something like $2 during a school field trip in third grade. I managed to lose that one, and my mother bought me a new one that I still have, more than thirty years later.

    I have one of these, the Dragonfly 2 and a Manix 2 on the way; the Endura 4 and Dragonfly 2 are excellent and I can’t wait to get my hands on the Manix. This particular knife seems like it would be good to carry hiking, camping or any type of survival situation. That’s just my 2 cents though.

      I love the Endura...I found that a polished edge lasts longer and it is easier to notice and dings in it...
      VG10 is quite easy to sharpen and can take a polish also quite easy...

    Dead on, on this review. The Endura is one of my favorite EDC folders. I hate pocket clips. So one of the things that is great about it is that it will disappear in the pocket. I carry mine in my weak hand pocket and I forget it is there. I have a Delica and I prefer the Endura. I also have a Military and I still prefer the Endura. I like the Endura so much I have 4 in FFG blades and one with the saber grind. So it is like ladies, if you like one from a specific country, then you have another, because 2 or more is always better than one, LOL................

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mikedifeo I like the FFG very much...the saber grind I like because i feel it could be more sturdy and adds a bit of weight I would imagine...but now I am looking for a FFG Delica...I think I could like the FFG version. The saber grind Delica did not really work for me
      right now..if I had to choose my favorite spyderco..i would have a hard time chosing between my Para 2 and my Endura 4.

    Nice vid as allways. So, what is your conclusion about delica vs endura? Was it the size or blade shape that makes you choose the endura? I have neither one of them but i have thought about getting them for some while now. Swinging towards delica because of smaller size. Problem is they are pricey here in sweden.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +NinjaDeathtrap Since the Delica was a saber grind I can't really tell. I am looking at buying a Delica but if I was to choose I would go for the FFG Endura... I like the bigger size of the blade and for edc tasks the handle is ok...If I'll ever get the Delica in FFG I will make a comparison...but here, in Romania, they are also quite expensive

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andre Börsch For most of my v-edges i used the Lansky system. It is quite affordable and if the spine is not too thick you can easily and nicely modify or clean up and 3-5 inch blade. I think I have a video about it.

    What a fine alternative perspective review this is! Definitely, some practical advice re: the Endura I haven't seen elsewhere... not with the same degree of focus, anyway. Thanks very much!
    BTW, now that you have been carrying the PM2, SpartanJohns, could you give me your perspective on the weight + in-pocket balance differences (mostly that) for, in my case, primarily "suburban EDC" use? THANKS!

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you liked the video and my thoughts on the knife. I do try to offer different perspectives on tools as often as I can.
      I have been carrying the PM2 between 2011 and 2013. The PM2 is not a heavy knife at all. Very well built and carries well in the pocket. A deep carry pocket clip might actually enhance the carrying experience. It is very different to this one. The PM2 has many cool features, starting from it's smoothness and "playability". The Compression Lock is arguably more stable than a backlock.
      It is more "squareish" however that is not a bad thing. It helps stabilize the knife in hand.
      It is by no means a small knife in pocket. Few Spydercos are....
      The PM2 is very different when compared to the Endura...very. I would not put them in the same class at all..
      I will, probably, at some point make a new video about the PM2. And will probably compare it with others. If you would like to see something like that please let me know what models exactly you would like me to compare.

    • @frederickj.7136
      @frederickj.7136 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I think that Manix 2 to Endura size blade length models still need the most discussion; especially, something a bit different from what typically constitutes a video review. If you're looking to EDC a Military... or a Delica, you probably already know who you are and about what to expect. Ditto the very compact and low carry weight Spydercos such as my Urban Leaf, Spy-DK, and Chaparral 1.
      Therefore, I think that the somewhat bigger knives which are most uniquely "Spyderco" just make the most sense for a comparison. Some might even think they need more blade than the PM2's. I note some concern expressed over the thin tip structure.
      First, the unusually versatile Stretch (and maybe the Stretch 2, a very different thing); and the Manix 2 Lightweight (and it's available options?), because of its circa 2.95 ounce carry weight that separates it from just about anything else it's size... and a bit too rare for inclusion, perhaps, but the highly unusual 3-1/2" blade Caly 3.5 with its more traditional construction, but with little more than 3 ounces carry weight. A Byrd Caly Caly 2 thrown into that mix as a ~ $30 budget alternative would be interesting and a sensible move.
      People do complain about the (ever increasing) cost of many Spydercos, and my take on that is that what I referred to as models being among the most "uniquely Spyderco" do more, in my mind, to justify themselves by being in some measure, sui generis: if the details matter, some may consider that alternatives hitting the same marks don't really exist elsewhere.
      I think this is much less true of some other Spyderco models. As much as I like my Native 5 Lightweight and the 3" blade length for several practical reasons, including the law & regulations, I find it's kind of odd man out for me. Smaller, but with more cutting edge, is my LionSteel T.R.E. G10 in snug-in-hand, silvery titanium and noticeably high end grade, textured G10 scale (just one); but weighing a jot *less* at 2.39 ounces vs. the 2.43 ounces of the Native, measured. The classy, carbon fiber-y scales version of the Chaparral 1 (S30V, my 2011-2012 iteration) weighs exactly the same as the FRN Native and doesn't yield much in cutting edge length.
      Likewise, my Factor Iconic Compact is similar in size (smoother in and out of pocket), but more ergonomic in hand and stronger, more versatile with a tall, Euro style 3.14" blade, again with titanium and real carbon fiber construction... at just 3.01 ounces. In other words, I could substitute and get the Native 5's virtues, and then some. A Delica owner could say much the same. At the Native 5's current price, there isn't THAT much difference from what I paid for the Iconic (less!) or what I paid, net, for the Lionsteel (though the super keen price came with some pretty outrageous dealer problems: there you go, as they say: "no free lunch").
      Anyway, the Stretch and my new BD-1 Manix 2 just don't call to mind practical alternatives... and I really like those aspects of the designs that are kind of unique, which is why I grabbed 'em. You could always argue I didn't *need* 'em.
      I hope that helps in response to your question. I left you and everyone else a mini review of my Stretch elsewhere among your videos' comments where the Stretch for Endura comparison came up. FYI, with respect to your observations on the Endura's back lock stability, the Stretch has a pretty substantial spine and mating surface -- it was designed for game prep in mind, you know: think bones, here.
      The Stretch 2 carries that further, and the back lock is quite stiff, and so beefy, I feel the Stretch 2 could be said to be unsuitable for frequent EDC use. Playing with it soon fatigued my fingers and thumb so much I couldn't continue with the strength to disengage the back lock -- it has a very late release, stiff all the way getting there. A designed-in characteristic, I'm sure. If you think back locks are too wimpy, guys, there you go! Cheers.

    II watched this video when it came out, but I'm not sure if I commented. This knife has been on my Amazon wish list since then. I have the Meadowlark2 , I think because of your suggestion as well. I like it. Even though I think it's ugly. Now I'm thinking I want more.
    I think what I'm looking for, but can't find, is a folding Mora. It's just not the Scandi I'm drawn to either. I know there are a couple of those out now such as the Cold Steel one. What I want is a nice thin blade that does not have too much sweep. Not a big wide sweeping hunting blade. I need that point to be forward almost like the straight edged blades. I'm also tired of fighting liner locks. Never fails they rub the skin off my thumb, plus sometimes my thumb gets stiff. I can't imagine what your going through.. That leads me back to this one - unless you have a better idea.. :-)
    Finding the perfect folder is sure hard.. :-)

    I have just got an Endura 4, this model & colour - was yours really hard to flick open & close one handed when new? The lockback on mine seems very stiff and the detent is really firm. While I can open it one handed, flicking it is either going to take a lot more practise or some freeing up of the action or both. Any hints?

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Enduras and delicas will be like that when new. In time they will become smoother and easier to flick open.
      If you want to speen things up you can take the knife apart and polish the sides which come in contact with each other: blade, washer, liner. Personally, I just open and close them and in time you get the same effect.

    Interesting that you mention the lack of the 50/50 choil on the Endura.
    That was the reason I went with The Cara Cara 2 instead of buying another Endura to replace the one I sold.
    .It's been my EDC blade for almost 3 years now,and I use it multiple times daily.Easy to touch up.and takes a mean edge,At the price it's very hard to beat.Sure the VG10 steel on the Endura is better than the 8CR13 on the Byrd,but it's over 3 times the cost.The question is this though...Is the Endura 3 times the knife that the Byrd is? After having,and using both, no,I don't think it is.I'd rather have 3 Byrd's honestly.

      +Matt McLoughlin same as everyone else...i guess... you just have to go thru the grits. Most v-edges i reprofile with the Lansky system...and then stropping on leather with the white stropping compound from bark river usually gets the job done

    Say Heah Denis. I'm not a folder guy, I like using small fix blades more. It's because of the safer design. But I don't always just hold my small knives by the handles either, even though the smaller handle isnt as comfortable, but I can hold it closer by the tip or as much blade as I need to use. Last weekend we were going out again to the cabin. I was going to take my Himalayan Imports M-43 Khukuri with my Bokor Magnum Series Vox Collection 2011 a beautiful very Retro looking 6"+ blade in the 440c. I really love the look. As my smaller knife for the more delicate work, since I like matching my knives, I could only match a folder. It's my Vintage Myerchin Pocket Knife with the Marlin Spike, it's also in the 440c and the modified Warrencliff blade really works wood great..The lock-up is super strong since it's used on moving boats at sea so it's very strong. Thursday last wwek, I called Bokor on a knife I was going to take as a back up, my Bokor Plus Black Vox Rold a great knife in D2, but the knife was very loose in the sheath and besides the holes didn't match on the Tec-Lok so I decided not to take it. So I called Bokor and Jan a very nice lady told me they would take care of the problem and they did, Monday I got the new sheath. But that night I double check maybe I could still take it as a back up only, but I changed my mind again, I was in my bedroom so I put it on the chair in my room and went to sleep. The next morning getting ready for the trip I went to put the knife away. Well it flew out of the sheath, I never had one that was so loose and the knife went right into my foot. it's not that heavy but heavy enough to cut me really deep, I knew it nicked some tendons and cut a vein, it was a deep red blood but it bleed alot but didn't pulse with my heart beat, so I knew it wasn't a cut artery which I could of bleed to death if I didn't get help. So I pressed on the wound very hard and after a long time I slowed the bleeding, but everytime I tried to walk it would start bleeding alot. I finally got to my easychair in the other room with trails of blood..I kept the pressure on it and I finally stopped the bleeding which took a good hour. But everytime I put pressure on my foot it would start bleeding. After three days of closing the wound up with Pappilon (Butterfly) Bandages I closed the wound together pretty good if I say so myself. Yeah, I prolly did need stiches. but I just changed the bandaid and it looks pretty good and I don't think the scare is going to be that bad. and the legaments, they prolly wouldn't do any more than I did and because it's by my large toe it shouldn't bother me that much anyways. I didn't take any Asperin because it's a blood thinner and I don't like what ibuprofen does to your liver and I think pain medication slows the healing, Yeah its hurts, but managable and I know it's going to be alright. But that Vintage Myerchin is really a nice folder and I just know it's going to be a nice match up with my Bokor Vox Collection 2011 a nice looking knife. Even though the blades are different shape, but the knives do match. I really like the Spiderco Para Military one of my Fav's, but the Vintage Myerchin is a great one too, I like using the Marlin Spike to untangle knots. They say if you fall of a horde, it's best to get back on, So yeah, We're still going to go heh heh heh as soon as it's safe to walk on it good without any pain.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +paulie 4x wow..such a wound can be quite a huge damper in any day/week
      Last spring a fiend of mine dropped a kitchen knife on his foot and cut the tendon from his big toe. he needed surgery and was out for 6 weeks.
      he said the same thing about the bleeding...blood everywhere and hard to stop.
      I hate going to the emergency room but sometimes a few stitches will help with healing a great deal.

    • @paulie4x1
      @paulie4x1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well Denis, I do have a little medical back ground. I knew it wasn't a artery severed which is really bad, One thing to look for is the pulsating flow of blood, usually a little squirting, this was a deep red slower flow. Everybody should know this, apply alot of pressure on the wound even if it's with your bare hand which I did, But I had a clean towel by me. Also don't take Asperin for pain because Asperin is a blood thinner. I also kept my leg elevated and the only time it would bleed is when I put pressure on it when I walked, But after a while, it started to slow down, I kept it clean, and made sure I would keep it closed tight with butterfly bandages. I think I did a good job because I really won't have a big scar. .I think I did a pretty good job if I have to say so myself. I did that once before under a difference circumstance, when I opened the package from Cold Steel with the Talwar in San Mai 3 a very sharp folder. I left the knife opened when the phone rang, my robe brushed the knife off the box on the coffee table and stuck me on my other foit. That one I got three stiches. I still keep my cut clean, But it's healing just fine. And my Tetanus Shot should still be good. I had in office procedure that I got a shot then so I think everything is going to be alright. WoW I could imagine this happening in the bush away from civilization, Yikes.

    Greetings from Bulgaria neighbor. I bought spyderco Stretch FRN VG-10. After cutting a little bit thicker wood than the one on the video (by the way the knife went to through it like butter) , the stretch developed about 1mm vertical bladeplay which is very annoying. My question is did your endura developed any bladeplay after cutting this wood? And is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi!
      My Endura has no bladeplay whatsoever. When cutting wood with a knife that has a lock back you might feel the mechanism pushingin your hand. However I do not think that this is what you are talking about. If there is vertical bladeplay and there is nothing that can be done to reduce it by tightening the screws or something similar I would definitely write a mail to Spyderco. See what they say.

      Hi! Thanks.
      Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about that. It happens with most folder who have a back lock. Esecially those who do not have full steel liners and micarta or G10 handle scales...
      My Manix(not sure which year it was made or the exact model it is- got it from Cliffstamp) does not have that problem. But that one is a really solid folder. This is one draw back of folders which have a back-lock.

    Say Heah Denis, I hear you when you talk about the Fallkniven heat treatment and the Syderco tempering using basically the same VG-10, I just thought of sonething. I think the fact that Fallkniven's laminated steel, the two different index when they weld (Marry the two steel's) The question would it be affected differently then a solid index of a same steel when they temper the two. ?

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +paulie 4x I think that if the HT would be ok for one steel then the second one should not affect it. Especially since the edge which is VG10 is very exposed with the F1...

    • @paulie4x1
      @paulie4x1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, Than how does the core cool since there's is more metal and maybe both cool differently ?

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +paulie 4x I think that the differences might be there but they would be really small. in any case about 2-3 mm of the edge, which is VG10, is exposed(no outside metal covers it) and that should function as any other well heat treated VG10 does...

    • @paulie4x1
      @paulie4x1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but was it 2-3 m/m when they tempered it. Sorry I'm just pulling at straws trying to figure out why the chipping.

    • @SpartanJohns

      +paulie 4x I think that they either made it too hard and did not temper it properly or they ground it fast which resulted is a "burned" edge. The problem for me is more that I have it gets micro chips...in use you can hardly feel them

      @@SpartanJohns Mine still has the factory edge. When I need a knife to really cut something, I use my beater knives (Ganzos) or my multi-tools. I did try this on some cardboard with the factory edge and it slices very well.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carmelotansengco4605 I would recommend that you use and sharpen it a few times. Maybe also drop the edge angle down a few degrees. The factory edge is ok but after a few sharpenings you will notice a difference. Especially if you reduce the edge angle. I went down to ~13 dps on my vg-10 version. No issues yet with normal edc tasks. I also use "lesser knives" sometimes when I cut thru dirty materials or know that I will hit steel or harder debree with the edge. However...if you like the knife and how it cuts...you should use it as much as possible. Nevermind scratches or dings in the blade...you will love the knife more and more as you use it more and more.

    They dont put a choil on the Endura because many purists-me included- will scream bloody murder.There are more then enough choiled knives in the Spyderco line up,and the choil hype is starting to fade,anyway,like it was the case with the glassbreakers.Look the the new knives they launched in 2016-Mantra,Patada,Nirvana,Advocate,etc-all choiless.You have a beautiful edge on your blade.What sharpening system do you use?

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A sharpening choil, imo, is not a trend, it is more of a necessity...sharpening knives with choils is easier...and you don't have to correct the part near the handle as carefully....
      I understand your argument about aesthetics...

    Never understood why Spyderco only made the G10 Endura and Delica as a limited sprintrun. For there cheap bird line they offer G10 handles and for there better models they only have frn?

    • @fordhouse8b
      @fordhouse8b 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I own a Spyderco, and used to own a Kershaw (sadly stolen at work) with G10 handle scales, and I much prefer he fiber-reinforced nylon of my Endura. It is extremely grippy and slides into and out of my pocket much easier than the G10. G10 always seems to get a bit caught on the fabric of my pockets in a slightly but constantly irritating way.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +steelNipple yes...i would also like to see some handle variations of this one...The FRN has a nice feel to it...and I guess it keeps the weight down...which is a thing that most people care about.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fordhouse8b I like the FRN but G10 just feels more solid in hand... the only knife I have had problems getting in/out of my pocket was the Benchmade Mini Bone Collector...in the sense that it literally destroys my pockets...

    • @fordhouse8b
      @fordhouse8b 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SpartanJohns I also really like the secure feel G10 has in the hand, it feels great, my only problem with any G10 handled knife has been that it's so grippy that it either destroys my pants, or I can not pull it out of, or put it back in my pocket using only one hand. For me, working in a kitchen, that is deal breaker. For me, and for my particular uses, FRN just seems to occupy a comfortable middle ground between strength and lightness, grippiness and ease of deployment.

    • @SpartanJohns
      @SpartanJohns  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fordhouse8b you could always sand down the g10 just underneath the pocket clip. Many people do that...
      Personally I never had that problem...i never needed to retrieve my knife quickly...or just with one hand...but I really can understand certain jobs where you might have to do that...working in a kitchen is surely one of them... i bet it also makes for a great "testing ground"

    hey man I have the delica 4 ffg with orange frn handles and the vg10 steel is not good at all it chips rolls the edge and I broke the tip I've never had a knife with vg10 besides spyderco and it really gets me upset .I was not even beating on the knife in anyway I was cutting plastic and the edge chips right away I can't believe it ,so after this issue with the vg10 steel I don't want anything to do with this steel again, but I'm starting to think that maybe it's just the spyderco vg10 idk because I've never owned any other knife with this kind of steel. now I remember awhile back my friend had a kitchen knife with vg10 and it never did this in any way so I'm thinking it's just spydercos vg10 and don't get me wrong I really like spyderco knives I always have but I'm staying away from this steel that's all so I went and got a spyderco stretch with the zdp 189 steel and it's amazing in every aspect I'm really liking this steel and the knife is so comfortable in hand . now I've never owned a endura 4 but I have a pacific salt and I can say that it's really close to the endura 4 so I kind of got an idea of what your saying about the handle it's to thin that's my opinion. but the h1 steel is really great I like it alot now I've never had the sharpen it because it's got a fully serrated blade which I like for many reasons it's my atv , fishing, and utility knife I can honestly say it's just a great knife and it has low maintenance because the h1 will not rust I like that so that's why it's my go to knife for many different things as far as a sporting knife .anyway I'm a rambling on nice video and I'm really glad I watched it thanks keep up the awesome work.

      +Fly Guy 78 I have a video where I talked about Spyderco's VG10 and Fallkniven's VG10. To me it was the opposite. My Endura performed like a champ and it was the F1 that chipped. I never got any chips or rolls...I did do a few questionable tasks with it where I thought it might roll...but that was not the case...
      Maybe you just got a "lemon" there...it happened to me before.
      I am not a "fan of spyderco"...Some of their knives are nice, some are great and some...are just ridiculous and overpriced...But I do own 7 models and the ones I like tend to get used and stick around. I hate the Tenacious for example... It was my first Spyderco and I was very disappointed. The RAT1 is a far better knife, imo. But somehow...looking back at it...I remember why I liked it and somehow miss it...
      I heard good things about ZDP189. if possible that will be my next purchase...Not really important which model...i care more about the steel...just to see for myself. Some people did say that they have had problems with it...

      SpartanJohns well your absolutely right alot of spydercos knives are overpriced that's why I just stick with the golden Colorado ones but I got more interested in some of the other models, like the sage, domino, Gayle Bradley with m4 steel which I like alot lol and the frn models, stretch, delica 4 which failed my expectations and the dragonfly which after messing up my delica 4 I didn't use the dragonfly it's still new I also have the spyderco ladybug with super blue steel and that has been great so far it's my Keychain knife and it's a sprint run lol oh well I just said it's not doing any good sitting in the box so I started to edc it .anyway man your great I really appreciate your comments your videos are awesome I really trust your opinions so maybe I did get a lemon and that stinks because spyderco doesn't have any warranty on there knives as far as I know and they should for how much some of there knives are , yeah I didn't know that you weren't a big fan of spyderco I thought you were. I think that the Para 2 and the manix 2 are great knives for the money I picked up a paramilitary 2 with blue g10 and the s110v steel it's amazing how good this steel is .anyway I been writing a book here lolheeee take care and keep those awesome videos rolling thanks friend.

      I heard of the blue handled PM's and the s110V. They look awesome!

    • @flyguy7836
      @flyguy7836 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      SpartanJohns hey I definitely hear what your saying, if I had to pick between those three it would be the paramilitary 2 all the way lol but I really do like the sage it's such a smooth knife and it carries so well its got class no lanyard hole carbon fiber handles wire clip it's a gentleman's folder more less. The paramilitary 2 is more on the tactical side with its big lanyard hole the colors it comes in and the clip is a four way so it can be changed to preference of the user the sage cannot I think it's only a two way carry tip up left or right. But I'm gonna be honest with you I carry two knives on me most of the time and I can't count how many times I've carried my Para 2 as my primary and my sage as my back up knife so they do go hand in hand lol so I like them both there great knives for edc .
