- Gole Yakh, Kourosh Yghmaie (cover song) My name is Mehrdad Esterabadi. I'm Persian. Also known as Marc E in US.40 years ago, when I arrived in the US, the first best friend, talented musician, the guitarist I met was Khalid Hakkani, and a year later his brother Bilal. For so many years we performed as a band in Miami. This Song was the very first Persian song we ever played together. Thank you, my friend, Mike Kirby the genius video guru for producing this. Yesterday when I heard Kianoosh Sanjari, killed himself because of Iranian regime's inhumane oppression against young people and women in Iran, I just went numb! I saw his pictures, looked into his beautiful black eyes and it remind me this beautiful song, I just could listen to this song and cry my eyes out 😔

ای وای زندگی !!!!!انگار همین چندروز پیش بود نه چهل و چندسال پیش وقتی تلویزیون ملی ایران (واقعن ملی )تومیان برنامه هاش آهنگ میذاشت وقتی این ترانه روپخش میکرد توعالم نوجوونی و شوروشوق زندگی برام قابل درک نبود و زیاد خوشم نمیومد هرگز فکر نمی‌کردم یه روزی توی میانسالی وقتی اون ترانه رومیشنوم اشکم سرازیر میشه و انگار که گذشتن 55 سال عمرم رو توی چهره ی کورش یغمایی عزیز و گرامی دارم میبینم ......شکی نیست که زمان درحال گذر ه و قادربه توقفش نیستیم ولی چگونه گذشتنش رو میتونیم بدستمون بگیریم البته چنانچه خواسته باشیم

Kourosh Yaghmayee is my husband's mother cousin. He was, is and will be a legend forever + he is from a very well-known family which goes back to the famous poet, Yaghmay-e -Jandaghi . Such a talented, respectful and nobel family.

It’s amazing. I can’t stop listening this song. I first heard this song as the soundtrack to a video about an Iranian girl who committed suicide after being tortured. My great-great-grandmother was taken from Iran to Russia by one my ancestor who married her. I don’t know why, all what happened with Iranian women today hurts me as it happened with my sisters & relatives. The courage and dignity of Iranian women deserve the admiration this love song is filled with.😢
This alone makes me want to learn Farsi.. Respect to Iran from Hindustan
