When I first saw Witcher III E3 footage, running on SLI GTX 780Ti's, I was gobsmacked at how amazing it looked. I regretted neglecting playing the first two games, cos now I had to, to get ready for this insane looking game on the horizon. This potential Morrowind level game. So I played the first two games, and thought they were okay. And the years passed. And before release, I noticed that a German website had leaked gameplay footage for their review, prior to release - breaking some NDA - and that they were already being threatened with lawyers and then they took their website down. And I realized - it's another Uncharted 4. And then the game came out - and looked like my 8 year old nephew had painted the graphics, compared to the original E3 footage. But how could this be? Dual 780Ti's in SLI were FAST, sure, but now we had 980Ti's! And they had 3 long years to make it even BETTER looking, and optimize! What's going on? WAIT A MINUTE! Ah! They lied! And it was all false advertising! They didn't make the PC version, they made a console version, and drop ported it to PC! NOW I understand! So, in what world did 9 billion people fall for it AGAIN, from the same company, and predorder like crackheads, believing that the same thing wouldn't happen again. It worked for them with Witcher III, it worked with Uncharted, No Mans Sky, it ALWAYS works ... but still everyone fell for it! Hilarious.
This game and company was just another case of what i like to call the skywalker syndrome, instead of luke, we got anakin, "you were supposed to be the chosen one!" All over again
agreed with most of what you said, except I’d go harder into how every single gameplay system in the entire game is a barebones, minimum viable product implementation. the crafting is laughable, stores are laughable, the entire inventory reloads every time you do anything in it, the auto-driving cab car does not drive itself, you see literally all the guns in the game by hour 2 and from then on just get the same guns but with a higher number, fashion is tied to armor rating, most of the cybernetic implants are shit and none of them come even close to Deus Ex level, and the list goes on... it truly is a 6/10 purely on visuals and story, because everything else is below average.
Great video. Didn't buy it myself as I had as you said, no faith in a company that is primarily concerned with cash. Shocking false promo from its inception, pushed even more in its release week. Clearly desperate to shift units before the truth revealed itself. Found you from your harvester vid I watched earlier in the year, thanks for that and the crap game with John Hurt video. Brilliant vids. I need to get my hands on Hades actually. Supergiant are a great small team that worked their ass off to deliver that game.
@@1r0zz nah I have no love whatsoever for Naughty Dog. Especially after they bought out the game of the year awards. I have no loyalty to any game company, none of them are entirely consistent or will be forever.
@@1r0zz I never made the claim any have. There are games I enjoy and those I don't. Same for you. Cyberpunk is clearly not a game for me. Same for TLOU2.
The thing is, the game feels more in line with something like Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. For those who wanted GTA but in the future you have every right to be disappointed. I've seen people say Hitman 2 has horrible cover shooting but it wasn't meant to be played like that.
JFC, just stop announcing features your game will have long before you've gotten to the beta testing phase. Then you don't end up embarrassing yourself by having to announce that you had to drop something you had initially promised because it turned out you were nowhere near being able to implement and you assumed you'd be able to. Stop marketing your product years before it's complete, and you won't have any of these problems.
I bought the game , knowing of the bugs, I don't regret anything. But CDPR let me down as a company when they banned a game for stupid political babyshit reason.
I do not want to sound... "negative" but you blame cyberpunk of all the things you do not blame every other "masterpiece" out there? You call "deus not: human revolution" as a "superior game", yet it is a 2011 game with abysal ai, graphically obscene (crysis, halo3, mgs4 existed...), ridiculous not open level design, cheap modular game world, without anything else than a shooter structure... Severely inferior to a early 2000 game! Yet you use it to negate cyberpunk?
....ignore the crap comparison then, does it change what happened? I'd Red not to blame then? And why does he need to blame other games? This video is about Cyberpunk, this is not a video of the history of industry fails
