As an inspiring entrepreneur your content is a breath of fresh air.
The start stop phenomena has hit me many times and I never knew why this keeps happening and this video explains it well.
In your opinion, what would be the best way to build your emotional strength in this area?

When my mom got sick last February (she's well on the road to recovery!!) I started working harder- my parents asked me why I started working so diligently and really putting my best work out (books, clients, reading a metric crapload) and I told them that I made the commitment that they wouldn't have to work another day in their lives AND if any kind of medical emergency came up I could be at the point where I could leave to support them.

Dear young people, always know that the importance of learning how the stock market functions first, and also consulting an expert stockbroker or investment banker can never be overemphasized. The stock business is a very volatile and complex one, if care is not taken, one could lose hundreds of thousands in matter of days! The knowledge is a sine qua non for a profitable venture.

When you say you have to be an "all the timer", but you also say you have to read a crazy amount of books, too. I'm constantly focused on my goals, but feel like reading or watching a video like this is taking away from being an "all the timer". That I could of been using that time to physically work on something that makes a difference. I'm assuming you count reading books, watching videos, etc all about progress as time well spent? That those are things "all the timers do" because they help work towards your goal?

    • @essennagerry

Team Shmo If they help you reach your goals, if they develop your personality - then yes, books and videos count.
Just make sure you don't overdo it, I personally have the habit of getting sucked into a new source of "goods" for my personal development and my business idea and I get ahead of myself in the sense that my actual daily plans get left behind and I just consume all this content and can't stop. That would be a pitfal to look out for! But if those books and videos help you grow - they most certainly count.

Knowledge itself is off no real use unless it's applied and learned from. It's why we have alot of well-read individuals who are poor and underachieving in their lives. There must be application and brain storming time. I'm learning this important lesson on my journey right now. As Bruce Lee said "Knowing is not enough, we must apply what we now know."

Strong points were made but overall I strongly disagree with this video. Telling people they need to work 80 hours a week to become millionaires is complete garbage. Thats how you become some rich lonely dude with no time in the world to even pay attention to his own kids. Spending 80 hours a week, means nothing else gets your attention, What good is it to the gain the world but lose yourself in the process. Productivity is most important, its not about how long you are working, its about what you are producing. Ive seen multi-millionaires only work 20 hours a week and they get to spend time with their children and develop good relationships and not just a stuck up piece of crap who's to busy for everyone.

    • @MrLastlived
      @MrLastlived 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Maybe then you should be looking at the explanation differently. If we apply the concept of multiplying one's time through enhancing work productivity, and enhancing how effective one's employees are, you could reduce your real time spent, while maintaining giving that 80 hours a week worth of time for the company. It will massively reduce the growth of the company, but after it hits a sufficient passive stream of income for you, it may just be worth it.

Hi Patrick, I have a couple questions:
    1. Do you include your book reading within the 80 hours a week, or separate from that time?
    2. Do "All Timers" stay within the same company in an industry, or just within the same industry? Seems like it would be the industry, as companies come and go?
    3. Do you have a list of recommended books to read?
    Thanks!

Thank you Pat! It's been 2 weeks since I first watched this video. I watched this several times already and I would watch it til I can finish your sentences already. Haha. And it's two weeks since I've been doing my work as Overtime for other people but deeply knowing that this is what it takes to be a great leader and entrepreneur.

Love your videos man, this really breaks down a ton that a lot of people I used to surround myself with couldn't understand. I first came across you on FB (90 second video.) I had no idea who you were but I'm glad whoever posted your video did because I really wasn't in a healthy mind state when I seen it. I played it back for a week and sent it to a few others who liked it also. Anyway thank you Patrick, you're a big part of my motivation PLUS ACTION I've been taking and I don't even personally know you
